I’m now imagining a picnic mat beside the tree. I went to Japan a few years ago late spring to autumn and missed hanami season. However, the weather was kinda unreliable that year that sakura bloomed even around autumn. In the end, I got to see them. 😂

This must be my favourite April spread! Love everything from the colours to the nice layouts and don't get me started on that cut out sakura tree - it had me looking like every heart eyed emoji you can imagine... I hear You on #stopasianhate, this has to stop now!
Hahaha I only decided to go with this design after knowing that the cutting machine can arrive on time! It would be a looooot of work to manually cut it, but doable (just need to be careful and patient)!

Congratulations on opening your online shop! That's exciting, but as your channel grows I hope it doesn't get too time consuming to package up all the orders. Love your pop up tree it's so delicate and beautiful. The Asian hate is really getting out of control. I don't understand the reason for it, even in my area young men are running up behind elderly asian people and shoving them down or stealing their bags. Sometimes killing them, one woman had her purse grabbed and was dragged by the car before she fell in the street. Some of these victims are 60, 70 80 years old or more. It's just disgusting. I'd be afraid to go to Japan now after that nuclear incident. But if I went I'd want to visit all the cute stationary stores and the Hobonichi places. I'm not sure what the fascination with those journals are, but there seems to be a cult like following. I'm afraid to visit any website in case I get tempted. Great culture, and I've always loved miniature things so that includes Bonsai trees. Maybe you could do art with a Tea ceremony or some Kimonos later this month? Might not match the color theme though.

@@JunniSunStudio That's OK. My parents took me to China town and Japan town, or maybe it was Japanese Tea gardens when I was little. I was fascinated in one bookstore with an Origami book and my dad bought it for me. It not only had directions for making some animals and birds, but also full size examples of each bird etc stuck into that page!! And at the back it had paper to fold in the correct colors to practice with. Later in college I checked out library books about Origami and later still finally bought a large book of origami. Paper crafting has always been so fascinating to me, paper cutting, pop-up, all that fun stuff. Have you seen the artworks where there is a regular 2D image, but they cut out multiple images of it, and glue them down in layers to look 3D? Like maybe a house in the background, with roses in the garden, and a picket fence in the front? Looks extremely time consuming but so fun to look at.

Not really a Kimono, but I've asked her if she could figure out how to do a kimono. She's got another video with little paper fans.
