As much as I love Porsche, I wish game devs didn't ignore RUF after the deal Porsche had with EA was off. RUF has done some incredible machines, the Yellowbird is such a legendary car and I wish it was featured on more recent games such as Gran Turismo 7, though I'm glad Polyphony added the RGT 4.2 in their most recent update.

RUF was my all time and my no.1 favourite tuned Porsche cars. Sucks that now racing games had some fewer cars after EA Porsche exclusive deal ended in 2015-2016

RUF and similar brands like Gemballa are kinda underrated tbh. Yeah you could have Porsche or Ferrari nowadays but idk, it's interesting to see these rarer versions

Good ol RUF, the go to "not-Porsche" of any racing game looking for licensing. Wish we could see more of RUF coexisting with Porsche like in GT though.

I think the reason why there aren't many modern racing games with the coexistence of RUF and other Porsche-based models and Porsche models is Porsche itself.
They are afraid that the other brands that are using their models and parts will overshadow their real models, so they force developers to add few models from those brands and add many from their brand or remove models from the other brands and add theirs, as Gameloft did that with Asphalt 8.

15:29 I think RUF R50 Concept was meant to be made to celebrate the founder, Alois Ruf's 50th Birthday. It remained prototype and never came to production probably due to financial trouble until the CTR3

Many games featured RUFs along the way since Forza, PGR and GT... But since Porsche become more available they just went for Porsche full line up...
Anyway RUFs model have always been kind of exclusive and minimal to feature all of their cars...

As an avid WMMT player, it delighted me to see several references to the game series with the "also appeared in x games" tab with the RCT, RK Coupe, and the RGT, and finally with an actual (albeit emulated) gameplay of WMMT5 with the RT35, which is just the coolest thing ever! Shame Ruf's were taken out in favour of Porsches in the follow up title, WMMT6...

The CTR3 and RT12 were in Asphalt 8 too.... till the 2017 Porsche update which forced to remove both RUFs, 9FF GT9 and Rinspeed Zazen

Their HQs are located in different parts of Germany however. Porsche is in Zuffenhausen, Stuttgart while RUF is in Pfaffenhausen, Bavaria.
