I remember i saw my dad playing WoW and i had always asked for an account over and over. One Christmas, he got me an account, The one character i had was a level 10 priest named "Santaa" and it had 100 gold on in and it baffled me how a level 10 had 100 gold? I asked my dad and all he said was "I guess Santa play's his fair share of WoW too." Those were the best days of my life. I still haven't deleted or replaced that character and i'm leaving it there for as long as i can in remembrance of those days.
Word, I played from the beta until the release of AQ, and then off and on for a number of years through Cata. I still have a lot of the blue and purple gear I got from the early days of Classic on my old hunter stashed in the bank (Blackhand's Breadth and Rhok Delar anyone?)
Wow, that is a great present. At the time I got playing my first gold piece made me feel like a rich man. I would even tell my guildies (brothers guild originally) how I obtained it and everyone was congratulating me (knowing I was an 8 year old noob). Great community back in the day. The original community's absence is kinda what made me quit the game after 11 years of loyal commitment.
I remember when I started playing WoW with a dwarf hunter 'cause I loved the guy on the vanilla's front cover, those were the best memories I have of this game, not caring a shit about stats and items, I didn't even know what the hearthstone was for and I didn't see a green item until the lvl 30 at least, freaking out when I saw an skull level horde in Thelsamar when I was lvl 15 and taking me days for reach 10 lvls, probably because I had to read all the quest briefing before, I was a noob, but a happy one. Listening to this musis has become the best way to play WoW for me.
THIS ! Thank you ! It's exactly what I hate with today's community, everybody has a damn stick up their ass, just enjoy the damn game, who cares if you don't have the best gear or know all the mechanics, just walk around and have fun with your friends...
"Listening to this musis has become the best way to play WoW for me." right in my feels. this is almost exactly how I feel. Similar story growing up. I can relate. Miss this so much.
They're really awesome i'm listening to them hours and hours through at work. Thank you and Thanks to the great composers who created these masterpieces :)
Love these. My very first character during TBC was a Gnome Mage. Dun Morogh will always be my favorite zone. So many memories. So much amazement. Cannot wait to relive it all in Classic WoW!
Man I remember back in the vanilla days, me being a hardcore Horde player, whenever I made a new Hunter class (I was an alt-aholic and kept deleting and making new chars all the time, I guess I enjoyed the first 20 levels of the game over endgame).... anyway I always was obsessed with taming only rare spawn animals, I was never satisfied with normal mobs as hunter pets. And polar bears being one of of my favorite RL animals I really wanted a white polar bear pet over the brown or black variations, unfortunately as far I as knew and researched the only white polar bears in the game were the level 50+ ones in Winterspring, and the only low level one being Bjarn, a rare spawn in Dun Morogh. Being a Horde player this was a HUGE problem for me, seeing how there was no connecting Horde city or zone. The only way for my Orc / Tauren / Troll hunters could get there was to take the zeppelin to Silverpine Forest / Undercity and then literally run through Silverpine Forest > Hillsbrad Foothills > Arathi Highlands > Wetlands > Loch Modan > Dun Morogh. Loch Modan was always hard since it had narrow passages in the mountains connecting the zones that was guarded with high level npc guards that would kill me. I always died several times, would have to run back as a ghost, stand near my corpse and as a ghost wait for the patrol npc to walk away, rinse and repeat, I would die 3-4 times just trying to leave the zone. I would have to do all this naked or have all my gear broken by the time I reached my destination with no means to repair it, I was behind enemy lines after all. The interesting bit was I was able to see all these new cool zones the Alliance players got to quest and explore in. But after many hours of frustration and camping Bjarn, it was all worth it to have the only white polar bear pet in the early game, not just for any Alliance player, but more special and rare for a Horde player to own one. I would go through similar frustrating experiences for several other rare spawn pets in the various expacs like thousands of other hunter players as well but this one stands out the most for me. If you're still reading after this wall of text then I thank you for taking the time to listen to one nerds experiences and hope you have a wonderful day.
Jajaja, made my laugh. I was a gnome back then. But deserves plenty attetion to did this task. In my opinion i personal think that WoW was more than a online game, i feel and felt those days like we showed the best of our brain, heart and soul, just beacuse we want to met other people and have distinctive things to shown. Love the story, is not the only one i read on comments but its one of the best.
Haha, thats awesome. My story is not so interesting. I didnt speak any english at all before (I actually learned a lot from WoW), so my tauren druid had no bear form till level 35 cause I missed that quest at level 10. Then, after seeing several druids being in bear form at mine / lower levels, I slowly figgured it out I missed something... probably quest... I have no idea how I managed to talk people out to show me where to finish that quest with my lack of english skills, but eventually someone was kind enough to show me. I had no idea that things like thotbot existed, and I had no idea there could be something like guides on the internet, and Im glad for it that I didnt know... it made whole experience so much better, finding things out for myself.
I did more or less the same thing. I remember my first character to reach level 20, a Worgen named Assarur, and I went to the Night Elven territories in Kalimdor and snuck all the way to the Troll Islands lmao.
05 in the morning, 14 year ago, level 5, mining my first copper under the digital moon, 11:37 goes on... That moment will last my lifetime, the reflection of the moon, the cold breath of my dwarf, the feeling of unknown adventure. Gods what a time to be alive
2007-2009, 13-15 years old. Best years of my goddamn life. I remember staying up as you did, 5 in the morning after a long gaming night in the Christmas holidays, right after the release of WOTLK leveling my gnome mage to 55, so I could try out the Death Knights. Was celebrating me receiving my first epic weapon with my only source of food during the night: some kind of left over Christmas cake lol. It was just such a good time. Did well in school, was training martial arts being in top physical condition and I didn't know it yet, but would get my first girlfriend the coming summer. And I was just able to enjoy this magical world without a care in the world. Those days are long gone.... But that's life.
When I created my very first warlock gnome, the first thing I tried was going from Dun Morogh to Stormwind walking, because I didn't know about the existence of the train in Ironforge xD. Good old times...
40:46 .. Dear God, please take me back.... 2008 / 2009, playing late at night on my lonesome, just doing some quests while this glorious theme plays... The piano, the stars... the snowy mountains... the everything and the nothingness of it all.... I miss this shit.
The sad thing is, that even if such a game would be created now, youre too old now. Youll never get back this carefree attitude and feeling with all the adult responsibilties.
Reaching Thunderbrew Distillery after levelling out of Coldridge Valley... amazing times. Elwynn Forrest levellers have a lot to boast about, but it takes a special player to know Dun Morough punches above it's weight.
Blizzard has done so many things rights with all of their games but the single greatest thing they have done for the gaming community is the music they have made. Every game I play now has to bring their A game with their music or it just falls short. The way Blizzard was able to blend music with the theme of the story and lore was truly poetic. Thank you Blizzard and thank you Everness for bringing this into our lives so we can continue to remember these great times and help us with the future ahead of us.
I’ve also found that some games take it too far. Final Fantasy 14 is one of those games, it has good music but it’s going at 11 all the time. Sometimes you want some slower music and WoW has just that. It’s the perfect mix of ambient noise and in some moments just a single French horn or piano.
holy shit bro, your comment maybe simple, but now that i think about it. Alot of the feeling of the music does really apply to things in my life. Thumbs up! :)
WoW was such a perfect escape. I discovered this world around my parents divorce when my mom cheated on my dad with my best friends dad. I feel like this allowed me to cope in some way. I made new friends in my dad's new neighborhood because they realized I played WoW too. We had a lot of great adventures. I was originally a dwarf paladin. Dun Morogh was my home away from home.
Goldie The Woldie The game isnt as good as it used to be. BFA, legion, WoD, and MoP are bad expansions, Cata was tolerable. and then Wrath, Vanilla, and TBC are all godlike, simply impeccable.
It really makes me happy reading the comments and seeing wow players are having a common feeling about how beautiful those times were. I still listen to the music and feel the peace within while at working in the office remembering those nights i spent looking for herbs for my alchemy skills and listening to the beautiful ambient and themes. i wish i had the chance to go back in the past for 15 years and live all over again.
Still remember making my first Dwarf Hunter named Keslin (randomised name of course) and I met these two brothers who leveled up with me and helped me out with the game. Such a great community back than..
13:02 that melody made me remember all the times that I was flying right above the mysterious iron forge airport in the mountains... what a nostalgiaaa!! :(
Dun Morogh used to be empty, giving you a lonely feel, unwelcoming almost, and the music just makes it golden.. Nowadays, it's full of players, but I'm pretty sure it holds a special place in players hearts.
Love it, the peace, the slow paced game it was. Took minutes to do things, you couldnt rush it, you had to wait fly time, walk around. Today life is so damn fast paced, everyone is so stressed out, and every game seem to be designed to be as fast as we can handle it. I miss the old, calm times, being able to relax... Life went slower back then. I was 14-15 when i started playing, today im 28
true true .. you had to plan your hike out in the dangerous wilderness. Train, repair, visit a bank .. who knows when youre back in a big city. Then you traveled out in the world and really felt the size of the world. Today is just insanity - teleport over the whole world, AOE bomb 100 mobs in 1 minute, teleport back .. wtf is that?
I can't even describe the feelings this music triggers within me.. it's a mixture of deep sadness as well as longing for the good old times where I could play this game without anything else to worry about, least of all the challenges of adulthood. Over the last few years I've been desperately searching for a game that somehow could equally mesmerize and fascinate me, but either nowadays games are way too shallow or it's just getting older and losing the ability to get completely lost in a different world.. Either way those old memories hit pretty hard ;(
played wow for about 6 years.. so glad other people appreciate these zones and the music the same way i do :) Love having your videos playing in the background while I work!
13:03 ...them feels. I can hear the powder crunching underfoot, smell the spilled beer in the Kharanos tavern, see the rabbit tracks alongside the road to Lagforge...
I won't play, but I have the urge to play a dwarf in Classic and run up to see King Magni in the throne room. I never got to see that having started playing the day after Christmas in '10.
I thought about WoW the other day (have been staying away from it for years) and then I just recently found your videos and I absolutely love them! It does bring some good memories back. Thank you so very much. Keep it up!
i remember back then when my dad teached to play me wow few months before LK, i still was very young, my 1st character was a Gnome magic man, most of the time instead of making missions i was exploring all around, for me it was facinant how the world could be so large, live and detailed, i was stuck at lvl 43 and the national server was stuck at WOW cataclysm and extremly damaged, we eventually moved out to another server and we still playing, rest in peace little magic man
If you had asked me what place’s music I would never get over, I wouldn’t have guessed Dun Morogh. But here I am, years later still coming back to hear those piano keys at 13:04 - those late nights with friends defending IF, questing or doing dungeons with my brother, even just sitting out in that snow and wind…some of the best memories I have. So in the moment. So wrapped up in the magic of it all. What a world.
I still remember the very first time I started playing WoW and created my Redbearded, Dwarf Paladin in Dun Morogh in 2005. It was a truly magical moment and like nothing I had seen before. I remember a gnome mage at the tavern that asked me to join him at the table and eat, he conjured himself some food. Then, as I was getting near Ironforge, I met a guy from Alicante where I had just gone for my vacation, it was a truly unique experience, my friend and I literally revolved around World of Warcraft.
My first character in world of Warcraft back in 2009 , a dwarf hunter .. I was only about 10 years old at the time .. I can’t believe how much time has passed , TH-cam has changed so much .. Fred is no more , ray William Johnson is a long gone memory , Obama is president no more .. I have grown up .. 21 years old now . I will never forget entering the world of Warcraft and the great wonders I saw like never before in my life . I will take this to my grave :”)
I didn't play WoW when it came out, I got my start during legion. For several months I was a free trial player. I remember when I first arrived in Dun Morogh on my first character and I was taken aback at how awesome the homeland of the dwarves was. To say I was captivated is an understatement, that is when the world of Azeroth Swallowed me whole and has not let me pass no matter how many times I stop playing.
2005, made a night elf.. all my friends were in Dun Morogh! I had to get there but I didn't want to play a gnome or dwarf (no offense, I was just an edgy 15 year old) So I ran for days.. bedtime, school, homework, and chores non withstanding and I finally made it. I died over and over but it was so worth it. I miss everything about the "old days'. Terenas US PVE - Nghtstlkr
I don’t know where you are , I lost track of you, but thank you uncle for introducing me to this amazing world 14 years ago. This is my favorite game ever and all my best memories are here , in Azeroth. Thank you again, and I hope life is treating you well
And so I comment again, because this video just belongs to pre-christmas time, like a personal tradition (if it's not too contradictory...). Merry Christmas and a happy New Year! 🎄
Few themes are more loaded with nostalgia and memories than this one for me... It requires an effort to stay focused on my work listening to it. The Vanilla era will forever remain among my fondest souvenirs. I feel blessed I was able to know and enjoy it. Your videos, Everness my friend, are what comes closest to capturing the remaining essence of these days long gone. Thank you.
WoW came out a couple months after I was born, and my dad played it from launch. I have so many memories of sitting on his lap, watching him play. I finally got to play for myself in 2009, when I was 5, and my first character that I really played was my dwarf hunter named Kinbair, on Sargeras. I played through the starting area, but was too scared to go through that cave of hostile troggs to enter Dun Morogh. I didn’t play for a month, but my dad was able to get one of his guild mates to run through the little passage with me. I made it out to Kharanos, and I can remember crying because the different pets that were mailed to me for having an authenticator and such were gone because it had been 30+ days since my character was created. My dad emailed blizzard for me and explained my story, and got them to send them back to me. I kept leveling through the zone, I remember the first pet that I tamed was a snow leopard, then the rare spawn polar bear named Bjarn. My dad and I shared the common love for WoW until he stopped playing during Legion, burned out after playing for 12 years. I continued to play casually until BFA, where I really got into the game, joining a guild and using my 10+ years of game knowledge and experience to rise through the ranks, becoming an officer in an adult guild at 16. After a sort of falling out with my guild last spring, I haven’t played the game since, but I will still always love my time playing it, and I will always remember my time as a new, red bearded little dwarf, stepping out into Coldridge Valley for the first time.
Lonely wanderer, who comes to rest atop the cliffs of Dun Morogh, you are not alone. As you study the starlit sky and its yawning moon above, in the twinkling quiet of your own thoughts after your guildmates have long since departed for bed. As your thoughts take you beyond the frozen ridges and frosty climes, beyond your adventures, swept up in the soothing undertones of this land, know that there are many who's footprints have long since been snowed over which walked a similar path to you. Wander, for a while, but when the time is right, return.
TacoTonesday Curious, after time has passed how do you feel about Legion now? Not judging/expecting one way or the other, merely deciding whether to renew.
My first character in worldofwarcraft was a dwarf paladin and the starting zone of Dun Morough brings backs so much memories along with the beautiful music.
I remember taking more than a month of trial and error of installing the game (I was 12), slow internet and 0 knowledge of how it was supposed to work, my mom also tried really hard to help me install it, but neither of us could speak any english at the time and the installer was... in english! One of my earliest memories of WoW is with my dwarf hunter. I remember FINALLY logging in, creating my character and clicking "enter world", I remember calling my mom and telling her that the game worked! I am very fond of this memory. WoW is by far the game that I enjoyed the most.
REALLY miss Ironforge as the main city, There was a closeness with your own faction, b4 cross realms, everyone knew each other or at least you would see a toon run by you and you had seen then standing around. When that horde rogue would sneak in to kill lowbies you knew him, there was a real feeling of hating the other faction. Lots have changed for the better but we have lost so much that made it so unique and great. Damn you Garrisons!!!!!!!
Thank you again for all your hard work. I cast these videos onto my TV while I'm working and it makes the chore easier to bare. I like the new addition of the slow-moving camera too. This one and Talador are my two faves, so peaceful. It makes me want a TV wall!!
Childhood memories need to be preserved. For me it is getting harder and harder to mesmerize childhood moments. But what I do remember is my fantasy. I remember that I was imagining big open world pvp events... like in a movie. With different lines of attack etc. For example 10 warriors charge at the same time, then rogues sneak behind... hunters flank. Westfall, Stormwind, Ironforge and dun morogh inspired me the most =)
I listen to these whenever I'm hanging out at home studying, writing, reading, whatever. Thank you so much for putting these together. Top quality stuff.
Bravo again! Thank you so much for making these. These are fantastic for background use in games, just to have on the TV, and I've even used em for D&D!
Horde got the short end of the stick at launch The undead starting area was really neat, and mulgore was nice although a little boring, but night elf / dwarf / human just blew away shit like durotar. You can't grasp how amazing the three MMO greats were unless you were there when they came out: * UO blew our minds into oblivion with the whole world and playing with other people online which was mind blowing * EQ blew our minds with the first raids , being a first person MMO, etc. I played it in my senior year of HS when it first came out and it was amazing * WoW took EQ and just dialed it up to an eleven. The dopamine rush from playing wow was just incredible and cannot be described. Now it is a husk that relies on addiction to keep players at the grinding wheel, rather than incredible experience
i had a friend since i was 6 years old. we played this game as fuk growing up. mostly alliance and night elf, but also gnome and dwarf. which also brings back alot of memories. we used to hang out alot and play wow from vanilla to legion, until my friend suddenly decided to move on with his life and play with other mates and leave me behind to this day unfortunately. but those early years are probably the best years of my life. i wish i could revisit them. listening to this musick really takes me back to those days when we were young and good friends
My first toon ever was a Dwarf warrior made in February 2005. I still remember the run in to Ironforge the first time. I died so many times early on and never cared.
The many lives that have walked across the world of azeroth is astounding. Each making their mark in the past , present and future. Hope you found/find Azeroth to be a test of your endurance, full of mystery, hope, Heroism, love and comradeship at best. We love you Azeroth!
I started playing a long time ago on Vanilla when i was 9, and i will play it forever... in one way or another. I met a couple of good guys bicouse of WoW, and we are now best friends in real life. This beautiful game is truly a part of me. PS: Tnx for this hypnotizing sounds!
Takes me back till the times when I had no worries in the world enjoying running around on my gnome mage in total awe of the amazing world I was in. I will treasure them memories, Dun Morogh will always be my happy place.
I still remember the first time I walked up to and towards the gates of Ironforge on my level 5 dwarf warrior. I'll never forget it, the music, the ambience and not much further in, some high levels riding on their mounts inside. It was like a world I've never seen before. That seems like a lifetime ago. For as long as I live, I'll never forget this place and this game. thank you to Blizzard and the creators of this time.
I'm here because of the recent announcement of a classic server. My main was a dwarf warrior from launch until I gave up just before CAT. This music just floods my senses with great memories, thank you so much.
Most of the music reminds me of my days as a young dwarf in 2007, 2008... but I also especially like the new gnome-music from 47:15 on, it sounds so optimistic, like flying the first airplane or something like that :)
Thank you so much for taking the time to make these and put them up! I can’t tell you how nice it is to be able to listen to my favorite Azerothian (and Draenic) music while at work, working on school, at night trying to fall asleep, or just playing WoW! I feel like the music in WoW goes under appreciated, and it’s a shame, because every track is simply amazing.
This was the time that everyone who played at one time was playing. My beginning days of Wow were in these lands following my husband around not knowing what I was doing. I never ever expected to miss it as much as I do.
the music and ambience are 2 of the biggest reasons i fucking adore the dwarves; they have like the best zones in all of WoW imo. i never wanted to live in a world as much as i do with wow.
So like, from BC on, I was always a Blood Elf, but I started in the Beta and then in Vanilla as a Dwarven Hunter. This brings back all the feels, almost as much as just playing classic.
I still remember my first journey out of the starting zone, going down that massive hallway turning the corner to see that group of dwarves shooting at their targets, good times.
You're doing a great job doing these, I just hate that the feeling of playing this for the first time is gone now. I played wow a lot during Cataclysm, Wod and Legion, but never felt the same way that when my first tauren hit level 10 in 2007 in front of Orgrimmar ! Thank you for all the memories, this gives back.
Back in the summer of 2007, I was 19 years old. Dun Morogh was where I started with my first WoW character, a dwarf hunter named Fali. I never knew much about the game in technical ways and didn't understand many of the terms used, but I loved the environment and the vibe. It was exactly how I want(ed) this world to be, or at least life after death. I enjoyed the adventure, just running around doing quests, getting better gear, mounts etc. Anyways, I leveled him until 40-42 or so and then had to quit the game because I migrated and didn't have a pc with internet for over 1.5 years. I started playing again in 2012, played for about 2-3 months with a new character, a Night Elf hunter (forgot his name) whom I leveled until 70. Man..good times. Now in my 30s, married and having a full time job, I can't find the time to play anymore, but I've been listening/watching these videos for a good 2 months now and it's SO tempting to just give it another go. I have never felt this connection with any other game. WoW feels like it's living thing, that the type of love and natural connection I have with it. But with WoW you just make/find the time. I HAVE to go back even if it's one last time. BUT this time as Horde 😀
Wanna talk about 11:39 ? I remember a night back in the days, I decided to create a Dwarf Pally, I was thinking "I wish I could be there" and suddenly this part started... My heart is still in Dun Morogh
Dun Morogh, Ashenvale, The Barrens, Elwynn Forest, Stranglethorn Vale. Some of the zones that made WoW feel like the first VR experience of vast fantasy world back in the day ❤
I listen to your videos (Eversong Woods and Azuremist Isle are my fav' ones) when I work for my exams. I'm a WoW fan, (and I stoped playing 6 months ago), listening to the athmospheres and the musics I love and know by heart is soothing ! (English isn't my first language, I do my best to speak correctly...)
No other game have ever have same magic like wow. Like first time when you enter the world of warcraft it did seem huge and still full of life when there was another ppl. And first time when i did enter at ashenvale... It was pure magic. Wow is best game by far ever made.
We will get to re-live those memories once Classic WoW is released :)
What a great Dad.
Damn.. you make me wish I had a dad.. well, I do always either way. That's pretty cool.
40:45 hits me hard, every time.
Jesus man...how much i love that part...damn.
Like a flood childhood memories... 😭
yesssssss dude and walking in that snow!!! so many goosebumps
It's exactly the part I thought it was
13:05 is what brings me home again.
I can hear the feet running on the snow... and the sounds made while fighting troggs and boars...
Can't wait to hear that sound again in Classic WoW!
The Wendigos!
Honestly, I wish this video had those sound effects.
This! ❤️
And mom yelling at me to come do the dishes 😅
I remember when I started playing WoW with a dwarf hunter 'cause I loved the guy on the vanilla's front cover, those were the best memories I have of this game, not caring a shit about stats and items, I didn't even know what the hearthstone was for and I didn't see a green item until the lvl 30 at least, freaking out when I saw an skull level horde in Thelsamar when I was lvl 15 and taking me days for reach 10 lvls, probably because I had to read all the quest briefing before, I was a noob, but a happy one. Listening to this musis has become the best way to play WoW for me.
same here man except my favorite choice NE druid. classic game.
THIS ! Thank you !
It's exactly what I hate with today's community, everybody has a damn stick up their ass, just enjoy the damn game, who cares if you don't have the best gear or know all the mechanics, just walk around and have fun with your friends...
Bryan Mestre 2
same bro. DWARF hunter. leveled up just to 5 for whole night. read everthing. take it as real. wuf.
"Listening to this musis has become the best way to play WoW for me." right in my feels. this is almost exactly how I feel. Similar story growing up. I can relate. Miss this so much.
dude, these WoW videos are fucking awesome and perfect to listen to at work. Really appreciate you making em :D
Your appreciation is greatly appreciated! :P
Yeah I'm digital artist and I like listening those WOW videos at work too :).
I always listen WoW music at work, the whole shift :D
Man I remember back in the vanilla days, me being a hardcore Horde player, whenever I made a new Hunter class (I was an alt-aholic and kept deleting and making new chars all the time, I guess I enjoyed the first 20 levels of the game over endgame).... anyway I always was obsessed with taming only rare spawn animals, I was never satisfied with normal mobs as hunter pets.
Mangeclaw too
Haha, thats awesome.
I was a hunter main in vanilla as well. I remember having very similar experiences. Thanks for bringing me back :)
I remember the exact same thing but with my gnome :-). I remember the feeling.

The first thing I ever did in WoW was walk from teldrassil to Ironforge. Looking back, I didn't realise that was quite an accomplishment for a noob.
Getting murdered by giant alligators on the way! I remember that epic run. It was the only way to get yourself linked up with Ironforge and Stormwind.
That run is probably why they gave night elves the wisp racial. Ahh the memories.
No it is not, WoW is based on the lore from Warcraft and that is where the wisp racial comes in. It was decided before wow even existed
When I created my very first warlock gnome, the first thing I tried was going from Dun Morogh to Stormwind walking, because I didn't know about the existence of the train in Ironforge xD. Good old times...
wasn´t that more or less the plot of a wow machinema?
40:46 .. Dear God, please take me back.... 2008 / 2009, playing late at night on my lonesome, just doing some quests while this glorious theme plays... The piano, the stars... the snowy mountains... the everything and the nothingness of it all.... I miss this shit.
:((((
i know what you mean. No other games hit me close to what this game did. And i play allot of games.
We can never go back.. 😢
Can't wait to hear and experience it all again in Classic WoW :)
I’ve also found that some games take it too far. Final Fantasy 14 is one of those games, it has good music but it’s going at 11 all the time. Sometimes you want some slower music and WoW has just that. It’s the perfect mix of ambient noise and in some moments just a single French horn or piano.
well get prepared seniors and veterans cuz Drums of war are ecoing again :D let the child in you play haha
It’s never gonna be the same without Russell Brower, unfortunately. But at least we can still enjoy the work he’s already made
@@coryaustin5931 I agree, although I found the current wow is too.. actiony. Always seems on and never atmospheric by comparison to the OG WoW's
I love playing at night with just the music and myself. 10 years of this and I still can't get bored.
holy shit bro, your comment maybe simple, but now that i think about it. Alot of the feeling of the music does really apply to things in my life. Thumbs up! :)
Dude, ikr
WoW was such a perfect escape. I discovered this world around my parents divorce when my mom cheated on my dad with my best friends dad. I feel like this allowed me to cope in some way.
I made new friends in my dad's new neighborhood because they realized I played WoW too. We had a lot of great adventures. I was originally a dwarf paladin. Dun Morogh was my home away from home.
ArmyCrab What?? The game is better than ever

Dun morogh. Song for over twenty years still has the same magic and mystery for me.
Listening to this music always makes me want to go back.
But it will never be the same.

17:20 _That brass!_ There's one I recognize. I think they've used remixes of that in several key dwarven settlements as well as Ulduar.
Ulduar indeed ! Just commented about that
Love it, the peace, the slow paced game it was.
I'm crying, how many memories with my dear dwarves...
Either way those old memories hit pretty hard ;(
I agree. It's hard to completely get lost in a game when you have to constantly worry about adult things. Gosh, I'm being too sentimental today.
played wow for about 6 years.. so glad other people appreciate these zones and the music the same way i do :) Love having your videos playing in the background while I work!

+Nimkryss Thank you! As it turns out, it's a pretty decent idea :)
i remember back then when my dad teached to play me wow few months before LK, i still was very young, my 1st character was a Gnome magic man, most of the time instead of making missions i was exploring all around, for me it was facinant how the world could be so large, live and detailed, i was stuck at lvl 43 and the national server was stuck at WOW cataclysm and extremly damaged, we eventually moved out to another server and we still playing, rest in peace little magic man

I always laugh when a FM tells me that the second the FP mount takes off.
Then, as I was getting near Ironforge, I met a guy from Alicante where I had just gone for my vacation, it was a truly unique experience, my friend and I literally revolved around World of Warcraft.
this cured my cancer.

I remember when I first arrived in Dun Morogh on my first character and I was
taken aback at how awesome the homeland of the dwarves was. To say I was captivated is an understatement, that is when the world of Azeroth Swallowed me whole and has not let me
pass no matter how many times I stop playing.

Thank you.
18:34 For anyone wondering, that music has nothing to do with Dun Morogh, it's the music from "Grim Batol" dungeon which was added in Cataclysm.
Legion has recaptured my love for WoW. Can't wait to look back at Legion in 10 years dreaming about the good ol days.
TacoTonesday Curious, after time has passed how do you feel about Legion now? Not judging/expecting one way or the other, merely deciding whether to renew.
Jeffrey Bouchard ARGUS is enough reason to renew, what are you talking about? Lol
Legion is definitely fun, just really grindy/repetitive at max level. BFA might be good, with the new expeditions, at keeping max level fun.
Wft32540 you still think of BFA like this now or not? 😂
the very beginning made me cry
listening to it while feeling a breeze outside is just so damn peaceful.
My first character in worldofwarcraft was a dwarf paladin and the starting zone of Dun Morough brings backs so much memories along with the beautiful music.
Spent many a happy Christmas night playing and having fun with my old guild here.
0:12 oh my god............. chills starting from the top of my head to the sides of my head, and jolting down through my quads...??
Thank you! I'm glad you approve.
These videos are perfect. Thank you my friend for capturing the essence of my memories. Much love!

I love you for posting these. World of Warcraft has some of the best ambient music. Thank you !
Horde got the short end of the stick at launch
The undead starting area was really neat, and mulgore was nice although a little boring, but night elf / dwarf / human just blew away shit like durotar.
You can't grasp how amazing the three MMO greats were unless you were there when they came out:
* UO blew our minds into oblivion with the whole world and playing with other people online which was mind blowing
* EQ blew our minds with the first raids , being a first person MMO, etc. I played it in my senior year of HS when it first came out and it was amazing
* WoW took EQ and just dialed it up to an eleven. The dopamine rush from playing wow was just incredible and cannot be described.
Now it is a husk that relies on addiction to keep players at the grinding wheel, rather than incredible experience
the best music during Christmas time
i had a friend since i was 6 years old. we played this game as fuk growing up. mostly alliance and night elf, but also gnome and dwarf. which also brings back alot of memories. we used to hang out alot and play wow from vanilla to legion, until my friend suddenly decided to move on with his life and play with other mates and leave me behind to this day unfortunately. but those early years are probably the best years of my life. i wish i could revisit them. listening to this musick really takes me back to those days when we were young and good friends
I spent so much time in Dun Morogh, this music brings me home. Thank you so much for these videos!
My first toon ever was a Dwarf warrior made in February 2005. I still remember the run in to Ironforge the first time. I died so many times early on and never cared.
The first time I logged in I created a night elf druid. I lost my first fight which was against a boar.

My first character was named Cholmann (coolman) a dwarf hunter and I created him when I was only eight. I still have that character to this day

How many Gnomes have I leveled through this zone in the last decade? So many...lol...too many!
This is truly one of my favorite zones! I'll never forgot creating my dwarf paladin and feeling so lost. Loved those good times..
I love that part!!!!! Best one

I can’t tell you how nice it is to be able to listen to my favorite Azerothian (and Draenic) music while at work, working on school, at night trying to fall asleep, or just playing WoW! I feel like the music in WoW goes under appreciated, and it’s a shame, because every track is simply amazing.

Dwarf Hunter: Layemdown
This was the time that everyone who played at one time was playing. My beginning days of Wow were in these lands following my husband around not knowing what I was doing. I never ever expected to miss it as much as I do.
the music and ambience are 2 of the biggest reasons i fucking adore the dwarves; they have like the best zones in all of WoW imo. i never wanted to live in a world as much as i do with wow.
So like, from BC on, I was always a Blood Elf, but I started in the Beta and then in Vanilla as a Dwarven Hunter. This brings back all the feels, almost as much as just playing classic.
Ah the nostalgia...my first main was a Dorf...loved that little bugger, he still somewhere in the game, having a pint...
I never even played WoW and these are some of the best videos on TH-cam
The best days of the game. Everybody were noobs, the world was gigantic and full of mysteries, the game was hard !
I still remember my first journey out of the starting zone, going down that massive hallway turning the corner to see that group of dwarves shooting at their targets, good times.
40:45 No matter where I am, when I hear that part, I instantly feel cold
What I wouldn't give to have someone erase all my memories from the past 13 years of playing WoW so i could relive it all again for the first time
You're doing a great job doing these, I just hate that the feeling of playing this for the first time is gone now. I played wow a lot during Cataclysm, Wod and Legion, but never felt the same way that when my first tauren hit level 10 in 2007 in front of Orgrimmar !
Thank you for all the memories, this gives back.
Favoutite area, best ambience. Especially at night with the snow, moon and lights here and there.
