Every ghibli movie seems to resonate with me at the right time in my life. In 2003, it was Spirited Away, and coming to terms with my separation anxiety. In 2014, it was When Marnie Was There, and coming to terms with my social anxiety. And now, I'm 2024, it's The Boy and The Heron, and coming to terms with my depressive anxiety, and in this newfound momentum, I wish to rise above it and not allow it to stagnate my journey anymore. There are also so many other ghiblis that shaped me in many ways, like Totoro, Princess Mononoke, Arrietty, Ponyo, Kiki's delivery service, Grave of the fireflies, Porco Rosso and so much more.
Very nice cover! I feel like the real soundtrack needed a version like this because the movie versions all end in a weird and unsatisfying way, which is a pity because it is a really beautiful song. Thank you!
I think I can tell what you mean. Obviously original one is still good enough and beautiful but kind of short, because those musics on the soundtrack was literally made for the soundtrack. Thank you too for the comment!

海外では最近公開されて、昨日友達と一緒に映画館で観て何度も感動したんだけど特にこの曲が好きすぎて今日テレワークしながらほとんど一日中聴いてました。
私はピアノが下手なんだけど時々好きな曲を弾いてみるのが好きで、この曲も弾けるようになりたいなと思ってこの動画を見つけました。
