Hey Dan, I'm in Nova Scotia, have a TOS SN32 and I need to grease the spindle bearings. I don't see how it can be done besides unbolting the spindle housing, sliding it forward and taking the spindle nose off. There's no information on the web and nothing in my owner's manual. Can you help me out?
Hi DAN : I AM FROM BRAMPTON ONT, most the lathe TOS ,inside the head stock ,bearing ,spindle ,gears are lubricate on oil bath has a pump push the oil bottom to top. Same time the pump get plug dirty and stop working. Any machine tool need maintenance ,hire In AMERICA no one like to do maintenance thing lose profit. we have same unit and my problem is when it turn to forward direction the spindle become slow while reverse direction is running in normal rpm.. I tried to adjust the clutch and it work good but later it came back in its same problem.. I presume that clutch is already damage and presently looking for possible part replacement.
