    There didn't appear to be a mention of this in the exhibition, but the Syriac Aramaic reading of the Koran would have fitted quite well with the theme of various groups moving around, ..in this case Syrian Christians being forcibly relocated by an Iranian King to Merv (?), loosing the context and meaning of some of their original texts and evolving into another religion with a different language..perhaps it would make an interesting subject for a future exhibition?
    Thank you for the beautiful displays , and all the helpful, informative books on the subject in The British Museum shop.
