Pekora being incredibly smug about Gyrados' 4x electric weakness, while simultaneously forgetting that her electric type is also part fire and that Gyrados is a water type, is peak Pekora.
Ironically it might have survived if it was faster than gyarados and she just attacked.

This is why pekora pokemon gameplay is my favourite. Like all her pokemon has their story (she gives it) so when it fainted it was really hard to see.
But my favourite is Tonpei. Tonpei being ignored at first, being her punching bag, then it fainted just make me sad
Her comedic timing is on other level, I like Bon-chan dead the most, Larry & that pink flamingo went out like a boss lol.
The fact that Tonpei went right back in the party...my heart...

Not just that, but she picked Tonpei over Bon...her STARTER pokemon. That pig came a long way...

Pekora lost more pokemon than I’ve ever seen someone lose in a nuzlock.
Gachimon (Mankey) is the only stable member that survives the whole journey.
She also used Forretress and Glimmora at one point.
He was really a great starter carrying Pekora through the elite4, Good job Tonpei.

Sad thing is that Tani (Tinkaton) only died because she had to swap out of the bird. It took an extra attack and if it didn't i think it could have killed Tatsugiri.

I like the revive/returning the mons section, most just released them or leave them in the box forever
because Pekora's not doing the typical Nuzlocke, it's a Challenge Mode made by the Japanese, similar to Nuzlocke with the exception that Fainted Pokemon are revived when you finish the story mode not just beating the Champion.
For example, if you do this Challenge on Heart Gold Soul Silver you can't revive your Fainted Pokemons after beating Lance the first time. You get your revive after you beat Red at Mount. Silver.
@@CrowitzerTheHoloFan Honestly a cool way to do it especially if you're doing the challenge for a game blind/playing a new game. It would suck to just not keep playing a game you're new to just bc it's a death involved run.

Oh no not Tonpei 😭
For real though that was a terrible idea from chat to use Flame Charge with Ceruledge. You don't need to raise your stats versus gym leaders.... if you do, you're underleveled. Beartic is slow without Slush Rush and a Bitter Blade would have killed it in one, while Ceruledge likely would have survived one Aqua Jet even if he went for that on the first turn.
More so even if it used aqua jet as the first move Bitter blade would just heal the dmg. There was literally no reason at all to listen to chat and boost its speed as nothing was threatening to OHKO it and any dmg done to it by a faster mon would just be recovered by Bitter Blade
It could have been a case of chat lag leading to the wrong decision. Flame Charge vs. Frossmoth is 100% safe there thanks to the x4 weakness and it not being particular fast or threatening.
The chat specifically said to set up flame charge while they are weak, I assume. Beartic is slow but certainly not weak with 130 base attack. Even not knowing about aqua jet, Bitter Blade 0hko's with most stat set ups except for really unfavorable ones.
The safest strat once that hole was dug was a switch to the duck. It takes the aqua jet well and kills with a fighting move before Beartic can deal any real damage. It can also take a single earthquake+aqua jet to do the same thing assuming no crits.

Raising stats, in general, isn’t that bad of an idea depending if your Pokémon can survive the hit. I had an Abamosnow with Snow Warning that had Aurora Veil and a Cloyster with Shell Smash. It was able to sweep cause of the resistance Cloyster got XD
@merabledawnspark5827 im talking about a story mode gym battle, not competitive strats. A potato with a switch taped to it could beat a gym leader.
In a competitive setting, speed is one of the most important factors of course. If you're worried about Ceruledge being slow, use the weak armor ability with a white herb as its generally bulky enough to take resisted and neutral hits even with uninvested defense and then heal up with bitter blade.
@@potatoexe5410 Might have been due to chat delay. It's possible they were saying to do it against the Frosmoth and she saw the messages afterwards, got confused, and thought they meant the Beartic. Either way a brilliant throw by chat lmao
With death 1, she fell into the common trap. Odds are pretty good that the enemy Pokémon, unless the tera type is the same as the base type or is a player owned mon, does NOT have moves that match its tera type. Always plan accordingly lol.
How was she doing Nuzlocke? Was it one pokemon per pokemon center since there isn't really routes in the game?

technically shes doing jinsei shibari, which is basically just like fire emblem classic mode.
I think she also not using(catching)any pokemon that she uses before, including the one from pokemon BDSP.

Correct, they were only temporarily incapacitated until she beat the game (the last few minutes of the clip)

If a Pokemon dies then she can't use that Pokemon ever again until she beats the game (that includes other Pokemon of the same species she can catch in the wild). If it's only hurt then she could heal it but she can't revive them unless she's fails the contest

How does Nuzlocke work in SV anyway? There ain't no Random Encounters
You get to pick which Pokémon in the open you want to pick but they have to be careful bc there are a lot of small ass Pokémon. Cheap yes but you can still get unlucky. The only bad thing is to remember which you have encountered.
The best nuzlocker in the world (certified*) uses a roulette with all the Pokemon in the area to decide
