I like how the protagonist is a mysterious figure with paranoid eyes, who doesn't seem to belong to this world, a simplified but effective way to insert the player during cutscenes.
Glad to see the protagonist also giving a fight against the baker girl.
i also like how 2 endings left them traumatized and 2 turned them into a badass hero/ninja

I like that aswell, especially because it make more room for the player to see the eyes of the protag and it fits them into the world nicely

Okay, who ruined it.
Something tells me that the DLC is going to have a focus on stealth in order to get to your victim and take them back to the bakery without getting caught, with a ending that's hinting to a sequel about the bakery being demolished and rebuilt into a supermarket so everyone can move forward from the horror unaware that Bonnie is back and having a serious case of missing a face.

Manly how does it feel to single handedly carry the whole entire indie Horror Genre? Like legitimately I believe a huge amount of people would never know about many of these games without you. Dude is the GOAT, he adds nice occasional whitty commentary, but doesn’t overdue it and allows you to somewhat experience the gameplay aswell. Helps that he is generally pretty good at figuring things out quite quickly.

In the original, I really thought Bear might be a detective of some sort, being so interested in taking some of the bakery's product out of the building where it may be analyzed. The endings adding this detail of Bonnie's ingredient selection gives me a lot of hope for that to be explored further in the expansion!
Bonnie should really consider hiring another person. Running an entire successful bakery by herself seems stressful.

I like how despite the entire shift in gameplay and perspective, the creators kept a coherent artstyle throughout. Like the cartoony nature of the 3d sections fit really well with the rest of the game and so transitioning between the two styles felt more seemless even though the themes took a pretty dramatic turn. Good stuff, excited on seeing what the dev does with the DLC
I am glad this is getting an update/DLC. There is a question I have been wondering that I hope they answer, are the ingredients random townsfolk, specific townsfolk that never came in, former patrons that didn't like the pastries, or has it gotten to a point where all the regular customers being hunted down as well eventually forcing a new bakery to pop up elsewhere?

Everyone else is throwing accolades so I’m going to join in. I appreciate how dedicated you are to the indie genre in particular and how fast you jump on releases. I like how there’s witty and hilarious commentary but I’m still able to appreciate the game and everything isn’t about just you as an entertainer. I appreciate you not begging for likes and subs. Coming back to revisit game updates? Chefs kiss. And even though it’s nothing to do with this video in particular as it’s a small update and a shorter vid, damn I sure do appreciate you not doing any of that bullshit about only playing part of a game and then abandoning it if you’re not satisfied with the amount of likes it gets. If I had a nickel for every time this meme applied for Manly's content, I'd have, huh, quite a few nickels, actually. Which is weird, how often it happens.
If I had a nickel for everytime Manly plays a game about cannibalistic chefs and ends with the protagonist and the killer on a knife fight, I'd have 2 cents, which isn't much but it's weird it happened twice.

I like the added bit to all the endings and the new ending as well. It is odd how she just goes from seemingly normal to a serial killer because the bakery wasn't doing well at first, and then the bunny she was taking care of died. Makes me think there was something that happened to her prior to her moving there that was just waiting to come out of her, and the business doing bad and bunny dying in her care set it off. I do wonder if that's a bun mask she has on at the end or if it's the face of the bunny who died, and also am curious about why the bunny was that injured to begin with. Maybe these questions will be answered in the DLC, maybe not. Probably not, but I still dig the setting and tone. Same goes for Cooking Companions, even if that one confused the living hell out of me for a while.
Imagine if Bonnie was like the robot
Maybe she already ‘dehumanized’ the animals deep down before the incident, and the distress of the bakery not doing well propelled her frustration towards the animal townsfolk… and when she Tried to be merciful to the rabbit and save her, the rabbit died and she felt as if it was all pointless?
The expanded endings are nice but the teaser is the star. I'm down for a prequel story, let us see how exactly Bonnie captured people.
So Bonnie's magical girl transformation into her alter ego Bunnie is literally just her putting on a bunny mask (presumably made from her first victim) I've seen worse transformations, at least this one had music and the rainbow glowing body thing unlike some of the ones I've seen

I hope the DLC answers who the protagonist is. They look like a human and they weren't one of the pictures Bonnie had at the end. All we know about them is that they are know for saying strange things (I'm guessing conspiracies). Perhaps they intentionally went to investigate Bonnie's bakery?
I thought the line was only referring to accusing bonnie, not anything before that, but now that u mention it it does seem like it refers to more before that

I always assumed the main character looked vaguely like a human without defined characteristics because that's supposed to be a stand in for the player. So, no matter who you are or what you look like, you can easily put yourself in the place of the main character, since they are a blank canvas, yet still human.

Well after just having come off from the previous video of Bonnie’s bakery. This update fixed a few issues I had with the story. And that is the townspeople believing you in one ending but then not in the other. It didn’t make sense to me. But this update points out the notes to make it make more sense as to why the townspeople didn’t believe you in one ending but did in another.
"rough day" = You are too scared to notice the notes flying away as you escape + Bonnie notices you leaving because it was a "annoyingly" slow day and she quickly took care of the rest of her ingredients (I didn't play the game, I just skipped to the endings, so I don't quite get this. Is that quicker because she was in a worse mood or because there were less ingredients to restock? )
best score = You are too scared to notice the notes flying away + Bonnie doesn't notice you (again not sure if this is related to her mood or how many people she has to kill in her basement)
middle score = You are not too scared and you keep the notes in your grasp + Bonnie "takes it easy on tomorrow's prep work" (I don't get this but whatever)
@@ie8118 for rough day, one of the npcs you can meet otherwise emphasizes that she is apparently in an extremely foul mood, not merely what a normal person would call "annoyed", on those days, so it's definitely she just like cut up one guy real fast and skimmed over the rest so she had time to notice
so for middle it makes sense that she's not in a specifically bad mood so she takes her time preparing, meaning she's not looking over her shoulder
worth noting that the notes and prequel hook imply she also suffers from extreme paranoia so double-checking on a bad day makes sense
I like horror games that start out cute. It makes it so much more entertaining when the horrible twist comes.

i like games like this, with many endings. especially the fact that you can actually put up a fight against the main antagonist (a.k.a. Bonnie)

The DLC should be tank controls with 3rd person top-down camera view, like in some old stealth/assassination games, to give us yet another perspective on the whole thing. And the actual murder scenes should be in 2nd person view so we can see it from the perspective of the victim. This way we'll have a whole collection of perspective shifts in a single game.

Seeing Bonnie's side (shown on her upcoming DLC) might show why she did all this. Although the idea that she called them (the people she's about to kidnap) "ingredients" right before she kidnaps them might mean that she already used live people(or animal-people lmao) as ingredients before. The only reason she leave the 4 alive (the compliants) is to only torture them as they are "stalking" and are "jealous" of Bonnie. But we don't know if that's really the case or that she's delusional.
She keeps them alive to keep the ingredients fresh.
I don't think I've told how much I like these videos, your voice sounds so soothing, and it's funny combined with the horror games you're playing. Also yay for new Bonnie episode!

I love when lesser known horror games get popular enough, thanks to youtubers like Manly, that the creator is able to give it more content.
Especially horror games that were intended to be one-offs, like Amanda the Adventurer. Thanks to the rise in support it was able to get new updates, secrets, endings and now it's fully developing its own story. We love to see it.

But I was thinking the other day about, what if you weren't locked into the cutscene after finding the knife, and instead had an option to seek down Bonnie or cut up the remaining animals (or just the limbless bear). Like another another secret ending, but instead of getting away, you essentially become her coworker/apprentice (Jigsaw style)

If I had a nickel for every game that starts of as a cutesy top-down tale only to turn into a first horror game where you are trying to survive from the character you played as in the first part that Manly replayed because they were updated with new endings, I would have two nickels.
