Suspects would attack if they thought they had the advantage or if they caught you by surprise, but they would surrender as soon as five dudes pointed guns at them. In RoN I'll C2 a door, flashbang the room, enter the room and still get instantly one tapped, it's like bruh

Man, the fact that the music in this is just from the vanilla game is really surprising, the amen break on Hotel Combat was the last thing I was expecting to come from a game like this.
I love how he catches some of these enemies by complete surprise yet they still instantly turn around and shoot you before he kills them. Suspect AI still needs a lot of work before this game is anywhere near enjoyable for me
The most egregious thing is they will fire at the floor while turning and headshot you, I’d think it’d be pretty simple to fix by using the animations to trigger when the enemies can fire so you don’t have this visual and unfair disconnect.

he's using AI mod to lower the accuracy of the enemies and to spawn in max enemies so he knows there's always gonna be X amount in any given room when you run the levels 20x over it gets really easy to anticipate so it looks impressive but it's just muscle memory at this point, and also not the vanilla game
@@wokencs330 He's obviously using radar, straight out refuses to even check certain rooms while waiting for suspects to come out of other rooms behind closed doors. He knows where they all are before they appear.

Cool video, I highly recommend the Ready or Not Here I Come AI Realistic Mod Pack. Even has a terrorist hunt pack that ups the AI count, but also tweaks the AI so they are not cheating so damned hard it hurts. Feels like that might be your jam when you just want to walk away from a map with zero mags and every part of your officer with holes in them.
I've got this idea in my head for a mod in this game where the faster you go the greater you can see NPCs through walls/ some sort of additional information and reload faster, but as a trade off you start hallucinating voices and eventually start seeing NPCs which aren't there or see some really weird shit. Basically to simulate being this sort of psychotic loose cannon cop like a hotline miami character.

F.E.A.R had their AI designed around what they called *_"Goal-oriented Action Planning."_* Essentially, it was a kind of "cause and effect" way of having your enemies process what was happening in the game to make them look more lifelike in terms of how they try to fight back against you. You're pretty much in a multi-player game in all, but name, now, thanks to the fact that the developers made a system that'll allow the coding of bots to be almost indistinguishable from your own creativity. *_"Shoot the Barrel!"_* [You then die to someone who followed those exact orders before you were able to gtf away from the barrel]
I was playing with some buddies last week; one of them ran a shotgun on the convenience store op. I was running backup for the main team with another newer player, mostly securing suspects and evidence, when I see her stop, point at a downed guy and ask "Why am I restraining him, he's got no head."
i dont own the game (yet) but watch alot of YT gameplay and i had no clue there was dismemberment before watching this video. those shotgun kills were gnarly

Considering I think the game randomizes where enemies are at the start, and their tendency to wander, this is really impressive.
