Even children know when an injustice has been done to them. It is amazing to me how much logic and rational thinking make sense of the world around us. What a difference it makes to start from facts rather than feeling. I have to completely disagree with you. I was born and raised in Montgomery, AL. I was born in 1960 and lived there throughout desegregation. All the households of my family had domestic help. The movie “The Help” was exactly my life. The wonderful woman who raised me was Aileen, to me she was and will always be my mother. She kissed my boo-boos and she loved me and I loved and still love her. The culture of her family was exemplary. Her children were well adjusted, mannered and they lived in a spotless home. Going to her home was so much fun. We would play with her son and I thought we were all a family. Aileen did eat in the kitchen but so did all the children and my Grandfather. My life with Aileen were the best years of my life! Sadly at 10 my family moved to Birmingham. We asked and offered her a place to live with her family but she couldn't leave her extended family. Our neighbors offered her a very good job as their father was a State Legislator. I was broken-hearted then but understand now. I proudly say who raised and loved me more than anyone was the most beloved Aileen G., my Mother.

@@merrittmontgomery7695 Thank you for leaving such a terrific comment. 💖 The important thing to keep in mind is that people from all over the West are dealing with American critical race theory so the way WE all are being twisted up into 'race fixation' has nothing to do with American domestic history and a instead, is a giant incoherent attempt to deal with increasing tension over mass immigration and seeing mulitculturalism and "diversity" really challenge people overcrowded in a so-called melting pot. There are so many things tangling themselves up to create disharmony. The race of the person has nothing to do with anything; it's the culture they're bringing. I just wanted to clarify the scope of this conversations so you better understand my vantage point, from over here in England. 🤝🙏

@@merrittmontgomery7695 Terrific comment. Just to clarify my vantage point, I'm in the United Kingdom not America. This entire issue is global so the nuances of the geopolitical and socio-political aspects of this entire broad issue are not directly comparable to American domestic history. We here in England have very different issues that are dividing us, different historical trajectory to wade through, different society and so forth. Mass immigration for starters is causing huge disharmony and causing much friction throughout society so it's absolutely not a 'black' or 'white' skin thing. I mean, how low-res and dangerously ignorant is the term 'white'?! What on Earth is THAT?! It's about the culture which new migrants bring with them and how they choose to contribute and integrate to the 'host' country and society. Patterns will always be seen and discussed...and disagreed on for a multitude of reasons. Thank you for sharing your comment though, I'm fascinated by people and even if we don't see eye to eye, such value is always found by me in simply exchanging respectful, honest views, ideas, life stories and questions.
