    Thanks for actually taking the time to do a real demo of how you use your system. It was straight-forward and there are lots of ideas in here that I'm going to try adopting (I particularly like your train of thought technique). I like that your videos aren't overly long and it's easy to rewatch to let the information sink in. Your quality audio and video editing really makes a difference! Liked and subbed!

    Can I ask what your benefit is in both tagging and linking between notes? I tend to use the brackets around things I might use as tags and use those as links, that way I can use them as index pages as I accumulate more

    • @dsuthapong
      @dsuthapong  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Katrina! Yes I did a very similar thing as well. I put index pages (called Hub Notes in my system) instead of using tags so that I can put develop my thoughts in those pages as I accumulate more notes.
      I normally use tags for “properties” or “statuses” since it can have sub-tags and don’t need to be developed in separate pages in the futures. For example, #literature/book #literature/podcast.
      Hope this helps!

    very inspiring. Do you think Obsidian is good for also referencing youtube videos and images, say for an artist collecting learning materials and inspirations? Obviously not in the graph, but more generally in the body? I havent seen this use case in Obisidian thus far

    • @dsuthapong
      @dsuthapong  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey there! Thank you for your comment. I actually had this questions myself. There are plug-ins that enable you to do this. Please see this forum.obsidian.md/t/display-side-by-side-image-grid/9359
      However, as a designer/artist myself, I didn't like an experience doing this in obsidian. There are so many other tools that are much better and inspiring such as:
      - Pinterest
      - Walling
      - Notion (Gallery)
      Hope this helps :)

      @@dsuthapong makes sense. Somewhere along the lines of what I was thinking. Apple Photos to collect, Good Notes for scrapbook brainstorming, Notion for planning. Obsidian for referencing of techniques (notion is too slow for that). Raindrop for collecting bookmarks of resources visually (motion is too slow for that)

    Thanks for your reply and your precious time . I have a question that
    1. I take notes for my youtube videos in my samsung notes with passive stylus because my mother tongue is hindi so I am mix hindi and English language in notes so how can I this system integrated with my obsidian aap.
    2. When I read physical book how to take highlights and turn into obsidian system

    • @dsuthapong
      @dsuthapong  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Shivam. Thanks so much for watching 🙏🏻
      For both questions, the answer is to not worry to too much about the “literature notes” which are, in the case, notes you took on your samsung phone and in a physical notebook. The thing you need to focus on is transforming those notes into permanent notes in Obsidian.
      If you want, you can also take photos of notes from physical note books and insert them into Obsidian as well.
