I'm continuing my project of re-editing and re-narrating my earlier stories, and today, I'm presenting the new version of my old story, The Sand. With all its weirdness, it's actually one of my personal favorites, believe it or not. I hope you will like it as much as I did while writing, and you will be guessing about the future fate of Shost as I do even now.

Shocking story
Might it be that one of your central theme is existential dread in the face of inanimate objects behaving animately? I feel as if there are quite a few unexpectedly sentient-feeling things in your stories that seem to act with deliberation.
I never thought about it this way, but you could be right. That's quite an area to explore, don't you think?

There are so many aspects to that, loss of controll, loss of illusions about how things are, feelings of powerlessness, the dread of suddenly knowing that one has never been safe, but exposed to inexplicable things, the struggle to find a new understanding, to reconcile reality with one's ideas about reality. The possibilities _are_ endless.
Was Shost possessed by the end?
Or did he just decide to speed up the inevitable?

Yes, that's the renovation of my old story. I'm actually planning to replace all the stories that were narrated by AI with my own narration. The less AI stuff on the channel, the better it will be. Thank you for your kind words!
