I also fit the k & n air filter but with out cover removing sound is normal , so if I remove the filter cover , is it save for my bike even water or dust can go there directly

These are not meant for Indian roads.
Trust me, it will shorten your engine life. There are too many dust particles in the Indian roads.
*Secondly and the more serious one is that* , You did not do any Ecu remapping, then you are running lean, as K&N cone air filter will allow more air in the engine but the ecu send same signals it was programmed to the injector which lead to too much air but less fuel, Your engine will be stressed and Run hotter and it will shorten engine life drastically.
Love your motorcycle and let it be in its original state for air filter and exhaust. If you are not going to do ECU remapping.
*No hate, but an advise to make your engine live its full life.*

remap means you setting back the air and fuel ratio.but there is when you use aftermarket ecu.the original ecu canot be remap just can reflash or reset.

Performance slightly increased in first 2 gares and the sound was just amazing until 2500rpm it’s like normal after reaching above 2500rpm it’s sound like sports bike and in mileage I think I got 0 drop getting same mileage..! Oh, great. I bought this K&N air filter after watching your video, but I still haven't installed it since I was told my bike will run very lean. I already am facing performance loss due to no back pressure from the straight pipe of the Daytona, so waiting for my ECU, cam, valve springs etc to arrive. Then I will be able to tune the bike properly.
I am still in two minds about the K&N though. Since the stock bike has a flat air filter and this K&N is just a universally designed conical one. So, in two minds. Thinking of getting a flat aftermarket air filter from Thailand (tried and tested). What do you think? Have you gained top end with it? Any other mods on the list?

the bike reduced it vibration but u installed the k&n air filter so vibration must be very much higher.

@@eeunjeung does Yamaha India suggest to install on it ? ... For eg. Daytona exhaust is offered by Yamaha India. You can't claim warranty if in case u damage engine for using k and n filters 😂. Think and decide and i did not say any comments about the engineering team. If they are damn well and good ask them to get approval from Yamaha ..

Actually there won't be any drop of millage... With Knn filters. It literally increase abt 2km

it wont harm your engine our experince was we used it for arround 50k km with one filter and then chaged it new one its best filter for us.. but u have buy original one thats it ;)

much faster installation in v1 and v2 models..
Without ECU remap or a piggyback ECU you will loose power by running lean. Lean mixture makes your engine run hotter.
K&n is only for sound its not performance filter its basically send the same air as stock so it wont literally damage the engine
Right.i had it on my mt15. Engine runs hot much faster.specially on traffic.it will harm the engine in long run.i put the stock filter back on my bike now.

Why in India almost 90% are always concerned only for the mileage!? What about the power !? The looks!? The cleanliness!? The safety!? The passion for other riders!? The respect for others!? Whenever i ride people always asks for the mileage! They asks me about my exhaust and that also enclosed by mileage.. why the mileage!?? Isn't there any other questions that people could ask??? i owned both V2 and V3 i fully modified my V2 and leave the V3 as stock for now since it is new.. and yeah the only question i get is ye kitne ka hai!? And mileage kitne ka he! Seriously brothers ... Y the fucking mileage everytime!? Is it the only thing you know about a vehicle... Smh!

Ajith 2232 the sticker making specialist (shopkeeper) will do that easily ..but if u want to buy from online than it may be costly u around 150-200 ..and in shop its around 40-50 rupees or may less

Filter I got from near biker shop at price of 4000rs (R1100) model and for fixing I paid for 250rs .. no problem will get wit engine if u use original k&N air filter for 50k kms
Daytona exhaust is safe or not for this bike ?
Safe but illegal in India also after Daytona exhaust you will get 5-10Km/l less mileage than Avg
