@kayhon R. R. You're deeply confused. Capitalism is the opposite of "National Socialism." Capitalism is the default condition of _civilization._ The natural condition of individuals is to possess limited capital, and to strive to accrue more. If they are _civilized_ they will try to do this voluntarily, via trade. If they are uncivilized, they will try to do this coercively, via extortion, fraud, or some other form of theft. Coercive socialism is theft. Voluntary association is capitalism. Now then, it's true that pseudo-capitalism under a central bank is a form of socialism, and is not true _capitalism,_ since it allows one group (those connected to political power) to print unlimited money, and send it to any coercive program they wish. Even so, limited capitalism(USA) clearly outperforms anti-capitalism (USSR, Nazi Germany). This is because voluntary interaction is scalar. The greatest degree to which a nation allows voluntary interaction is the greatest degree to which it respects individual rights and private property. Nobody has to violate property rights to engage in capitalism, but the violation of property rights is an inherent feature of socialism, and other coercive paradigms.
100% agree with you, individuals in a company will have opposing views. It the company takes a stand on social issues, then it'll force it's employees that don't agree to either leave or endure. Not taking a stand allows the employees to have their own opinions and not clash
@@JakeWitmer Wow there is so much wrong in just 3 paragraphs. First Capitalism is not the opposite of National Socialism, communism is the opposite is most simplicst terms as capitalism is private ownership of means of production and communism is public. Nazi's are in the middle or just completely different as they are not very close to either. Next, capitalism is 100% not the default condition of civilization, that's just fact and there is no research or academic studies that have said that to be true. Im not sure why you'd lie about something so random. For example if it was the default for humans, why have only europeans been the ones that created stock exchanges, early forms of capitalism etc. Cultures all around the world did not have capitalism and had systems very different and would have 100% never developed capitalism. The rest of your first paragraph is just random things your saying as there isn't anything to back it up and just random definitions you've created in your mind. Civilized vs uncivilized is your opinion and you wont have any sources ofc. Next pargaph is debatable, we haven't seen it outperform so "clearly" is more like in your opinion. Niether country you mentioned was close to the economic power the US had so ofc the US would come out ahead, but if your looking at growth the USSR did have higher growth for long period. Lastly your opinion on property rights and there value is nothing but an opinion. Someone could easily argue that property rights are everything that's wrong with capitalism and that it doesn't provide an efficient system as it just perpetuates those who can hold onto power : IE inheritance.
We have been using Basecamp since 2014. I met one of the co-founders discussing live / work ballance at a Startup Grind Chicago presentation. Cool stuff.
Am dyslexic and is hard for me to learn like everyone else but the way I see growth and opportunity is exactly the reason while i trust what you shared about that company ... thank you and say hi to the team ...
Not sure if “cultural implosion” is a fair or accurate description. They had a mass exodus of SJWs because they decided to stay out of political/social issues. I 100% support this stance. This is how businesses used to operate, and I hope they do in the future.
Sounds like an excellent company, assuming that the SJWs are the ones who left. There's no such thing as "apolitical." That said, those refusing to toe the Nazi line in Germany would have been considered "apolitical."
Heck I agree. Politics don't belong at work. If you're a great worker and respect what talents your co-workers talents and hard work is, then why do you need politics at work. And why would you want to bring drama and controversy to work. Great for Basecamp. I still don't understand exactly what they do. I appreciate and commend them for not wanting to have that political controversy in their work plan. Kudos to them!! What a company that really built themselves in the right way.
With them pissing off the woke employees, I took that as an expense reduction anticipating an economic downturn. Having already cut the fat, they will be ready to do opportunity hires when other companies cut less selectively after the downturn.
I really liked their product and I hope they are able to continue to grow. It does make me wonder what does one do when your company has so many employees and you started out with so little. Is it worth becoming big?
I don't agree at all with the suggestion that "these sensitivities" had been buried over decades or generations and only now come to light. Instead, those employees left because they happily embraced riding the self-righteous SJW tide and felt hurt in their fragile feelings that someone told them that they are paid to do their freaking jobs, not political propaganda. I 100% agree with what basecamp did. Unlike all those sellout companies, they still have spine.
I say good for them on creating a neutral workspace. It should set them up long term for a good culture. The employees that left can hopefully find a company that aligns with them.
Making a business that actually makes money from selling a product is better for our society vs promising a product in the future and becoming wealthy on the share speculation. Many of the latter are going to impact retirement funds adversely.
Everyone who does web design will tell you. It's a dirty business, almost not profitable and it sucks balls dealing with clients who don't know what they want from the beginning.

Basecamp nurtured talent instead of letting it churn like other tech companies. So many companies just let talent leave and hire an unknown with 0 system knowledge at a higher rate.
Is this not a joke? I looked at the comments thinking that someone else would find his shirt funny? Oh well Renault and elf have secured the best parts of his horrendously ill fitting garment. Plenty of room for Anusol and tenor men on his midriff. If you would like to advertisise on this shyster contact Valuetainment, a TH-cam channel I once used to respect
The company is far better off without those snowflakes that have to be told they are there to work and not to discuss ideologies. And we all know it is only one set of ideologies that would try to politicize and and all things. Why the company even offered severance to people who threatened to leave if they couldn't spread their round headed leftism in the workplace is beyond me. Just tell them good riddance.
severance made any hesitant snowflake/sjw feel comfortable about leaving. no severance would mean that any (smart) sjw would be hanging around while job hunting on the sly. with severance, it's a fast cut-out, instead of steady attrition over months and months. anybody who stays on afterwards knows to keep their yap shut. a somewhat pricey, tho effective way to purchase peace for sake of company's atmosphere, and of company's legal position. from that point forward, nobody can say that they were fired because of their politics.
HE'S BACK! .............Biz Doc!
Thank you - great to be here!
There's only one word when there's a new Biz Doc video and that's DAMN!
I love the company's stance on staying out of social issues and just doing what they do best.
Capitalist Nazism much?!

Never heard of basecamp

Is Basecamp similar to Slack?. I'm familiar with Slack but not Basecamp. Pros and cons, anyone? Thanks
Slack is mainly for communication between team members like instant messaging. I don’t think it does project management.

Why talk about the growth of BTC if there is NFT and the RJVX13 algorithm
At first, everyone did not believe in Bitcoin, then in Defi, then in NFT, and now someone really does not believe in the RJVX13 algorithm :D
Yes Yes! Read everything, and then say that you did not know RJVX13 algorithm!
First there was an ICO boom, then Defi, then NFT, and now everyone is crazy about RJVX13 algorithm
just google RJVX13 algorithm and don't worry
RJVX13 bring me 300% profit because of Tesla pump
Why worry about cryptocurrency quotes if there is RJVX13 algorithm?
RJVX13 algorithm is the best, there is no point in arguing with this
RJVX13 algorithm is my choice, i dont worry about BTC rates at all
Good stuff!
DAMN!
