So, after my challenge run with HUNK on Castle I had a yearning for a higher score. Many of my amazing subscribers also actively requested I take HUNK back to the Castle for another go. So, here we are.
One of the highest scores achieved with HUNK on Castle and as far as I can tell, the second highest for the 60fps version of the game (Steam, PS4, XB1, Switch). Of course, this can be improved upon as the Garrador room is still largely a mess but I'll quietly work on that while practicing for other scores on other maps.

I always thought mercenaries was such a cool little bonus that the developers could have gotten away with not adding in the game. I remember being blown away that you could play as Wesker. Such a timeless game and I'm glad there are so many people still playing it.
Yeah, the limits of World Record scores are still being pushed after all these years, which is incredible.
Yeah but it makes you wonder why you couldnt play as any of these characters in story mode like with a NG+ since they are so well made and already implemented in game.

Lol amazing, today I got 5 stars on about 5/6 more stages, slowly getting all the 5 stars, seeing your game and practicing, I think I got much better at this game, currently getting 70,000 for me isn't that hard but I try not to die and give up a lot of chances to make points rn, gotta get that hand cannon first

I know I may have commented on this a while back, but just wanted to say thanks for being inspirational. Currently on Castle with HUNK, I'm at around 195k. Just wanted to re-watch and see what I can improve on. Def need more kills on those bonus timers.
Bonus chests and mass-kills are the key to high scores.

I find Castle the easiest due to how many enemies there are :P
I would say Waterworld is the most difficult unless you are using Krauser.

You're awesome! Well played. I've got a question, what was the purpose of not killing more Ganados at 6:28? I assume that a lower combo spawns more enemies or helps you to get more points.
As a general rule, combos should be started with bonus chests (my Scoring Guide video explains why).
In this case, in order to gather ganados for the bonus chest, I opt to break the combo in order to give them time to group up to maximise the kills in those 30s.

Por eso muchas veces rompo el combo para tener tiempo a esperar que los ganados se quedan juntos en grandes grupos para matar muchos de ellos rapidamente durante el bonus
@El Del Trio 21Legend Si, el combo a partir de 10 muertes te da 700 puntos extra, o sea, cada enemigo vale 1000 puntos.
Pero con los cofres, esto cambia a 1300 puntos por cada enemigo.
Asi que, en Pueblo hay 116 ganados normales (y 6 hermanas bella).
116 x 300 = 34,800
Un combo de 116 = 34,800 + (116 x 700) = 116,000
Pero si todos estos 116 estan matados durante el cofre de bonus de 30 segundos:
116 x 1300 = 150,800.
Una diferencia enorme.

Lots of practice and studying the tactics of other great players in order to develop my own.
Once i saw his playing i just remembered my self happy with 128,000 as the highest score between my brothers.

Hope They add / Unlock a skill for Leon to Neck Break/ Breakneck or Stealth Kïll to finish the Ganado's when you finish the game on a right condition

How do the modern platform ports of RE4 differ from the older versions?
The 60fps ports have quite a few differences, most of which aren't noticeable to the casual player.
The 60fps itself disables some glitches used for speedruns while making others easier.
The enemies are more aggressive.
Item drops are different, especially in Mercenaries.
Some enemy health values and behaviour is different.
A.I Glitches are more frequent.
Village for Mercenaries has a glaring glitch that means only one route can give you 124 enemies. Using old strategies will only ever net 119.
There are more but those are the main ones off the top of my head.

Why are there garradores before you open the giant doors? And how come the Ganado respawn so quickly? Is it because you're playing in the Xbox?
One Garrador spawns at 25 kills, the other 2 spawn inside the giant doors area.
And I'm playing on PC, as indicated in the title. The ganado respawn quickly because I'm constantly crossing the spawn lines.

I used to think that breaking my PB of castle hunk at 140K was a feat......damnit.

@@Sarcosuchas my goal before NYE is to get my castle wesker back up to the 240 mark. I used to hit that routinely around the 2012 time frame, and that was when the current records were all still at about 262K. The fact that you got that close.....with a character that is statistically weakest on the most abusable map says everything I have to see about your skill level.
@@Ttran778 Thanks, though to be fair the categories are different for console. Me hitting 250k on the 60fps PC version is very different to hitting the same score on PS2.
@@Sarcosuchas at least the PC patterns can be altered if you choose to, PS2 is and was much more unpredictable than the GC version.
@@Ttran778 The spawns are the same on all versiones of the game, the only serious difference with PS2 and PC07 is that less enemies spawn at a time (8 on screen instead of 10) thus making the routes and strategies different to compensate.

Because there are different enemy counts on each map for RE4.
Village: 124
Castle: 348
Island: 117
Waterworld: 156
It's Resident Evil 5 and Mercenaries 3D that only have 150 enemies.
@@Sarcosuchas is that only true for later versions, because i remember on the wii version that the highest combo i would ever get on castle was 150 and the round would end.

The round ended at 150 combo for you because time ran out, not because there was an enemy limit.
