I honestly don't think they were trying to scam you. That's about $12. Things are a bit more expensive in tourists areas. The reason they lowered the price was bc the one girl told the other to give you discount since you didn't like the chicken. Oh well! 😢
It could have been more innocent than I thought but I had been exploring the area (I included some of the discussions) and the going rate for food in the surrounding areas was 20-22k. So it had set up a price point in my head that I expected. I’ve paid more in other places for Pechuga and have no issue paying a fare price but it felt very off in this situation. Funny enough this was one of the few places where I didn’t ask the price before I ate, I was a bit distracted…
@@jbcvabeach82 No worries. There's lots of great travel content out there! I'm still a small channel so maybe see you in the future when we're bigger and better!
Change the title of the video , they weren’t trying to scam you , they were talking and clearly you didn’t have a clue what they were saying , some click bait nonsense for views, these new TH-camrs in Colombia are goofballs
so when the girls was yappin to u did u understand most of what they was saying? cuz I remember a few vids back u said ur spanish was pretty bad so have spanish got a lil better now?
People in Colombia are sick and tire of the full throttle tourist invasion causing crimes to skyrocket and higher prices of things.........so now they will be charging the gringo price.....That's fair trade off.
How is the security situation now? Do you often feel unsafe? Scammers? Really want to visit, but i read and watch so much crap happening down there. The Colombianas though, but as you said, you just cant trust them, SO easy to get fleeced :-(
It definitely doesn’t feel safe but so far it has been. Lots of stuff to talk about from your questions so I think I’ll do a video in a bit talking about them. Cheers!
@@goodlifepursuer bro you need to step up your game. You stick out like a sore thumb and you speak no spanish. Dont trust anyone there and dont get drunk and bring women home, especially if they ask you or approach you. Be safe man because in Colombia its not, you have to be street smart.
The problem is that you think they are always going to scam you. If you think again, they tried to offer you something other than chicken but you insisted on chicken....plus $45,000 is 11 dollars, very cheap for you..... .in order for you to enjoy the trip you have to stop distrusting because people notice it.
Click bait title IMHO
Why didn’t you ask for the menu? They didn’t seem like they were trying to scam you at all
Sorry the audio was a little hard to hear when I was in the water.

Thank you for the comment, it saved me from falling for clickbait title. Now I can move on and spend 35 minutes watching properly labeled content.

Antes de comprar siempre negociar el precio
