Thanks so much for watching guys! This was by far my favorite and maybe most expensive mod but sometimes you gotta pay if you want to play. I think this cabinet will get so much use by myself and my kids. It's the first cabinet I have built that my 11 yo son is excited about. The fact that we can play it together justifies the cost alone! If anyone has any other ideas around Xbox integration with arcade controls, please let me know. This is just one way to do it, and I'm sure there are many other ways, so please speak up. I really want to hear your comments, and I'm not always able to respond quickly, but I do read these and try to respond to as many of you as possible. One more thing: I spoke to Joe Szabo over at Szabo's arcades, and he's offering a 10% off promo code "RETRORALPH" so use that and save yourself a few bucks. Thanks again for everything guys. You honestly inspire me to keep going, and I'm having so much fun with this! I can't thank you enough for your continued support, you guys are the best!
To do the LT+RT fatal blow your health must be at 30% or less and you can only successfully do it once per entire match. When you were trying to do it...the flashing indicator was for your opponent the CPU. Love the build. Makes me kind of what to do this. I already have a spare XBone.
To make your life easier (AKA Simpler wiring), and to have flexibility no matter what conole you install in the cabinet later on, just get a pair of Brook Universal Fighting Boards. It’s compatible with both current and last Gen Xbox/PS consoles, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
Rufus Watson Sure - Search for Focus Attack and/or Arcade Shock, along with “Brook UFB” for the board - Disclaimer: no relation or benefit from this recommendation , other than the fact that I am a very happy repeat customer of these two businesses, and they have also served my FightStick needs over the years. Brook is a relative newcomer in the industry, but they have come through big time, offering this board and other USB converters for modern and retro consoles. FYI, read up on the board itself, as there are optional header cables you can get for full touchpad button support as well. Also, if you don’t need full support for all those consoles, Brook also makes a PS3/PS4 only version. Both boards have a 20-pin header, for which you can buy a harness to quickly connect the joystick and most commonly used buttons.
I really appreciate this alternative solution. This was just the most straightforward way I found, but it looks like the "Brook" solution might be even more accessible. Do you have the links to the specific parts? I would like to try it out and make another video if I find it cuts out some of the other accessories that I had to use. I know there's also the Titan 2, but I didn't have the time to invest in that solution. I will probably visit that one at a later date as it does make the solution most flexible, but I don't know how simple it is configured. Thanks again for the great comment and suggestion!

GaRogerCade funny you say that because that was my original intention with this. However... I’m running out of space 🙈. This should probably be ported over to a full size cab eventually. Thanks for watching 😀
Awesome build! You just up'd the ante on Arcade 1up mods! I was close with guess a PS4 build! Very enjoyable and satisfying video to watch! Graphics are stellar!
The LT/RT fatal blow only works for YOU if YOU have 30% health or less. When it shows on your opponent's health bar, that means they can use fatal blow on YOU, but you won't be able to use your fatal blow unless you have 30% or less of your health.
This SO cool Ralph! Well done! I'm here in Cape Town and a huge arcade fan, especially MK and SF, but I'm afraid Arcade 1 Up is not available here! Your custom MK11 cabinet is AWESOME!!!!
Wow... super cool! Wish I could get ahead and get this done for myself. Unfortunately, absolutely no skills for it at all. But still, incredibly awesome. Love this

I want that, in a custom built SoR themed arcade. Art from SoR1 on the left, and SoR2 on the right, with a badass Marquee of the entire crew 1-3.
Hi, RR Quick question. At 3:45 I noticed about a 3/8" gap on the L. & R. Sides of the Cabinet Panels, did you end up cutting the Original Bezel Wood Panel to fill in the Top & Bottom space for the TV? It also appears that the MK-11 Bezel that comes with the Full MK-11 Kit is made for 16:9 Ratio 19" Tv's instead of the standard 5:3 Ratio 17" Monitor the Cabinet comes with...
So. CALCat the width is the same as standard dimensions. I made the bezel 16:9 for all modern games format. I also includeed in the kit for him a new plexi for the bezel with graphic already applied from the reverse side like you would get from 1up on standards bezels.
No other modifications are needed, the Tulsa Arcade kit has actually been improved upon as well so it should make this modification even easier for you. Here's a link to a recent video I did walking through how to install the kit. Also, check the video note for a discount code to use with your purchase. th-cam.com/video/K_2ydmsUlY8/w-d-xo.html

Looks great! I’ve been toying with the idea of doing an Xbox or Xbox 350/One combo cabinet for many of the old school games. Xbox with trackball for instance. Oddly though I want to get around to figuring out how to make an odd, large sit at game height one for either Xbox 360/One or decent PC for Mass Effect cabinet. It’s why I got back into consoles. I think a PC version and some sort of custom controls that would lend themselves to a cabinet gameplay. I’m not really sure it’s possible since it’s engineered around hand controllers.. and PC via mouse.. but maybe a true analog stick or dual sticks side by side with buttons on it.. like dual flight sticks... who knows... dumb idea that I want to develop for “Just because” factor. :)
20 years ago, i got an fitter & turner at work to make those JoyStick Extender's, He done a perfect job, Today your can buy them for less then $5 Today's community has it so easy and everything is so much cheaper
Gluing the battop? Talk about a bad idea! You can get the same permanent effect by holding a flat-tip screwdriver to the base of the shaft while screwing in. That way if you wanna replace the battop, you can do so without replacing the whole shaft. Is it THAT hard to get to the stick and buttons? after assembling it? And for that matter, why even go with Sanwa instead of iL/Happ?
It comes off with minimal force. It's not the RED one that everyone keeps talking about. If you go back and look it says "BLUE" on the bottle. It works great for me and it's meant to come off but provide enough security to hold under load. I have removed many CP's easily that had bat tops with it on so ... it's a non-issue for me. It's just a suggestion and no one has to do it... just sharing what I do. Thanks for watching!
Hey Ralph great video. I did the same monitor mod as you. One question how did you get around the power for the TV? Did you cut any holes for the infrared controller for the TV?
I got lazy on this one and just use the remote, it works through the plexi. How do you like this kid so far? What games do you play the most on your Xbox?
@@RetroRalph ahhh ok so what I did is use a raspberry pi and went direct HDMI to the TV. I made my own bezel with abs and Plexi over it. Now the issue I am having is the remote won't go through the ABS (never thought of it haha)
On actual arcade sticks the L and R [shoulder buttons] are next to each other, not to the left and right of A,B,X,Y. THIS WOULD MAKE FATAL BLOW activation easier.
Kio ÐÎÊKÎÑ I almost bought the titan in the past because you posted something about it so maybe on the next one I will take the plunge. Thanks for watching man!
Another solution is to route out the bottom of the control panel to raise the stick higher, but then you would have to have bolts exposed. Also Red loctite is almost permanent Blue loctite works best for what you are doing :)
dubson965 Yes, I plan to do a full teardown video soon showing the Xbox and PS4 and how to connect them. There are various different ways, some easier and more difficult. My goal is to make a how-to so that people can follow it step by step. Thanks for watching and that’s not a foolish question at all. Great question and thanks again for watching!
@@RetroRalph Thanks a lot for answering! Great video, and I look forward to the videos you plan on making referencing how to assemble these! I'm sure many others do as well!
Not going to build this. But I have an Xbox one s just chilling next to my bartop arcade machine with an x arcade dual stick. I’m now going to wire them together. Thanks!!
so you changed out the 17 inch screen with a 19 inch? did you trim out the existing bezel to make it fit or did you get a completely new one if so where?
Giovanny Saenz You could go to Lowe’s and have them cut whatever size Plexi you need. You would then mask off the monitor viewing space with painters tape and then spray it whatever color you want. The result will be a nice, clean looking Bezel. You could have someone make artwork for it later if you want as well.

So. CALCat I’m not sure I 100% understand what you’re asking 🤷♂️. As Far as the kit goes you’re correct, it’s designed for a 16:9 monitor.

And with DevMode / RetroArch the sky is the limit. Especially for old arcade, ps1, ps2, and 360 shooter and fighter ganes.
Definitely put the switches up front to look like classic quarter slots
I love your videos!! Game Room Needs to be organized!!
Thanks man, you should see it now! This video is over a year old. Thanks for watching. Maybe I will do a game room tour video soon.
Ralph, have you finished with the placement of the last two buttons? I'm looking at doing this to my xbox one.
Wow i need you to come down to mod my street fighter arcade one lol excellent job buddy
Bozo The CalvinJr where you at? 😉

For the fatal blow it was Kung lao that's why I it didn't work it comes down to when you have a little bar of health left.
Badass video
Thanks bud, I appreciate the support!
please forgive me if this is a foolish question, but could this be done with a PS4 instead of an Xbox One so you could play Street Fighter V as well?
dubson965 Yes, I plan to do a full teardown video soon showing the Xbox and PS4 and how to connect them.
Looks like we found our evo champ.....
Not going to build this. But I have an Xbox one s just chilling next to my bartop arcade machine with an x arcade dual stick. I’m now going to wire them together. Thanks!!
Can’t wait to play MKXL and 11 and especially streets of rage 4!
so you changed out the 17 inch screen with a 19 inch? did you trim out the existing bezel to make it fit or did you get a completely new one if so where?
So sick, boon must love this.
Great Arcade Cab bro, what's the reasoning for using a X1 as opposed to a PS4? PS4 is the system for Fighting games.
No real reason other than I had a xbox one to use.
@@RetroRalph Cheers for the reply, awesome build nonetheless. Using the tools you have to your advantage, mad!
Miles Brown Thanks Bud 👍🏻. I appreciate you taking the time to watch.
need help on how to get widescreen bezel
Giovanny Saenz You could go to Lowe’s and have them cut whatever size Plexi you need. You would then mask off the monitor viewing space with painters tape and then spray it whatever color you want. The result will be a nice, clean looking Bezel. You could have someone make artwork for it later if you want as well.
