  • In this video, I'm showing you the process and completed pavilion and outdoor kitchen. We did all the work ourselves and managed to keep it very cost effective. I used composite decking, pressure treated framing and concrete countertops.

    Beautiful project and turned out great! That view reminds me of when I lived in Curacao. Nothing beats that daily tropical sunset. Great addition to make it more inviting for the family to get out there each day. Very well done 👏🏽

      Thanks buddy. It’s definitely a special place. We are very fortunate, and the sunsets are definitely a natural stress reliever

    Florida? Looking to do something similar here in northern/central Florida. Don't have the lake, but do have the jungle. :)

    It looks great and is a wonderful addition to the backyard. The framing looks a bit undersized. I guess the roof is lightweight but I would expect the ridge should be supported by a built up beam as opposed to a single 2x8 or 10. Time will tell.

      It is a very light weight roof. It survived two hurricanes last year, so far so good. Only time will tell tho

    couple of questions if you dont mind. What did you paint your 6x6s with and what was the length of them? Wife and i are getting ready to build one of these and i love your design. and if it survied hurricanes how deep did you place them?

      I used 16 ft poles. I painted the entire structure with SW emarld. Expensive buy amazing paint. Holds up really well in the crazy Florida climates

    any concerns with using combustible material (wood) next to the grill?

    • @diydad1593
      @diydad1593  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Anywhere the wood was remotely close I used cement board to block the wood. Both grills have had heavy use for over a year now with no problems

    Great project! What size is it?

    • @diydad1593
      @diydad1593  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Roughly 14’ x 24’ . That allowed me to use 16’ boards for the deck

    Hi! For the sink where did your gray water go? Did you have to route it back into the house or did you put a septic system? We’re thinking of doing the same set up and the sink situation is holding me back

      I built a “septic tank”. I buried a 5 gallon bucket upside down and it works fine.
