    Hey Nick, awesome review and 15 minutes on the dot haha! These modules are awesome, they seem very high quality yet come at pretty competitive prices especially given that they all can achieve 1W at that price! Appreciate you missing the release date to actually test out the modules too! The moxon antennas do look very nice and robust as you demonstrated. The full size Ranger module is awesome, they definitely went all out from the design to features, very premium feeling. Thanks for the detailed video!

    I can't lie that big sucker is some nice bling, and if you need that kind of power/range, it looks and sounds solid. I like the T-lite V2 JP4in1 and Jumper Nano module. Full power on that is way further than I'm willing to hike to retrieve scraps. If I had a full sized radio I'd feel a lot more comfortable and confident going that far with this monster. Wondering why no youtube creators have done any follow up vids on these? There were a bunch of release videos but no one has done any testing vids. I ordered the micro combo package in November and still haven't received it. I know why, I just wish there was more follow up content to let us know how you guys are liking them.

    • @NickBurnsFPV
      @NickBurnsFPV  ปีที่แล้ว

      Follow up content is generally determined by the community comments calling for the content. The other reason is likely how good expresslrs is. The range and response is well tested and top of the class. The last item is to test requires violating many local laws. This would be range testing and flying beyond line of sight. Wezley Varty likely lives in a location much more friendly to flying long range and he has some great range tests with expresslrs and comparisons to other control protocol.

    • @NickBurnsFPV
      @NickBurnsFPV  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Generally we add a module to a radio to bring a receiver protocol that the radio we have doesn't come with. So if you have a radio that doesn't have expresslrs protocol a module can bring that option to the radio. The power of the module can be used for long range, rough rf environments or just piece of mind the link will be strong.

  • @Latchfpv
    @Latchfpv ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Honestly I am totally debating that due to the 1.8W option, in a few of the areas I fly there's just a lot of interferrence that sometimes even at the edge of the park where I live which is not even that terribly far away I'll get telemetry problems and signal link will drop randomly etc so I'm always paranoid about losing my quad. I'll take all the help I can get.

    • @NickBurnsFPV
      @NickBurnsFPV  ปีที่แล้ว

      ah I see. I would hope the extra power would resolve the issues your seeing.

    • @lemonsquareFPV
      @lemonsquareFPV ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Receivers with higher power telemetry amplifiers will be your best bet, the transmit module will not help you, no matter the power. :p
      Obviously you have a receiver with low power telemetry signal on your quad, I recommend changing this. It is a night and day difference my friend!!! Plus way cheaper! :p
      You won’t get dropouts this way! So good!
      Hope that this helped, and set you in the right direction.
      Good luck, and happy flying.
      Edit: also antenna, and placement is another thing I would look at on your quad.

    • @NickBurnsFPV
      @NickBurnsFPV  ปีที่แล้ว

      I can't say for certain but I do think upgrading to edgetx will be beneficial. I don't think the inverter mod is required to make an elrs module work with it, but might be needed to run 1watt, I think telemetry might also be impacted.
