And he truly is the hero we needed, even if we don't deserve him 😭 Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is great and all, and I have loved this DLC so far, but I truly LOVE Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and seeing Rex back in all his magnificent glory really did bring a broad smile to my face.

Apparently the swords that Rex uses are not the actual aegis swords but like Shulk they are replicas of the Pneuma blades
Rex is related to everyone present other than shulk and nikol, A is his in law

@@HowdyFolksLP lot of people don’t, if you want to get technical A was shulks blade so shulk is his in law’s weilder, and nikol is shulks son so you could say he’s connected to all of them loosely
@@perrydunetz882 you could also go the the really loose route of pyra/mythra -> klaus -> zanza -> shulk (i guess possession counts as a connection?)
If you wanna go with the route of Nikol and Glimmer being an item then you can also say that they’re also in laws
The braincell skipped Zeke and Pandoria and went straight to Linka
I attribute it entirely to Rex’s tutelage. That, or maybe she NEEDED to be cleverer by half to handle Rex. Either way 😂

the monado is actually an aegis, same goes for the opposite aegis is the monado of pneuma while the monado is the monado of ontos. Logos also had one but since we never learned its name we dont know if its as powerful as the two others.
Aegis refers to Pneuma, Logos and Ontos themselves. Their weapons are Aegis swords. Monado is one of the Aegis swords.

I still have to ask: Why does Nia from the base game end up with ghostly versions of Pyra and Mythras swords, if Rex can still use the real ones here?
These aren't actually the real aegis swords, these ones are smaller, can combine to make a sword similar to pnuema's, and rex is the one that decide when to summon them rather than pyra and mythra summoning the blades.
The Swords we see Rex use here are called the Firelight Swords (derivative from Pyra and Mythra’s name). If I were to assume, they function similar to the Monado REX. Replicas of the Aegis that can pretty much do the same thing an Aegis does minus some of the over powered stuff like how the Monado REX can still do Monado Arts minus being able to use foresight and y’know, kill god.
@@Kirito843 Not to mention that for Rex to use Pyra and Mythra's swords they would have to have been there with him in the first place.
Technically, Rex is related to everyone except Linka and Panacea.
Technically he is brothers in law to Shulk and A through Klaus. Or Shulk would be his Uncle, depends on how you view how Shulk is related to Zanza, but I count it. Through that Nikol is either his cousin or nephew.
Then Mathew is his Great-Great-Grandson, and Glimmer is his daughter.
"I am a descendant of the great Rex!" - a person.
"Join the club." - literally every other person.
XC1 fans won't like it but technically Ontos, Logos, and Pneuma are all Aegises and Ontos had his name changed because of entering a new world. King like how when lightning strikes some cultures said Zeus and others said Thor even though in reality they are the same.
