I love how Stoicism is glorified here, but isn't acting like nothing bothers you just a form of emotional suppression?

I think the idea is that if you don't have control over it to let go and not let it bother you.@@Stoic-Saga101

Why would a stoic even care about what others think about him? In this case I mean the whole "People might think he seems uncaring for the needs of others"
I am a stoic, I don't think about the needs of "others" but specific people and for what they mean to me, why would a stoic care for what others think?

@@Stoic-Saga101 You speak of care for "others" yet took yourself time and did none of such, a true stoic would either have helped, or kept his mouth, instead you give advice which you clearly do not follow yourself
My path clearly lies elsewhere *unsubscribed*

As a Stoic, it's not about caring what others think just to get their approval or anything. But that doesn't mean we ignore the needs of others, especially people we care about. Stoicism teaches us to control our reactions, not to be completely indifferent. It's about focusing on what we can control and being there for the people who matter to us, without letting outside opinions mess with our peace of mind.
