Thanks
very neat
Good video thanks yes
Yeah I love stuff like this! I do lots of compositing and SFX for my graphic novel and really enjoy tips and new techniques. I've used displacement maps a few times, but this was pretty darn clever! Love it! Like button = dust!
thanks mate
Thank you
Excellent tutorial. It leaves no guessing. Sometimes a tutorial will start really slowly and then when you get to the really tricky stuff assumptions are made about the viewers knowledge and the whole exercise becomes pointless.
On the off chance that you're gonna read this, just spent 3 hours trying to get this done for an album cover, your vid is the one that ended up helping me get it done. Thanks man!
PS : It's like fucking 3 AM and I'm tired so I'm like extra excited I managed
Really glad to help!
Yes, please. Anything you can offer on compositing.
Fantastic
Nice tutorial. Keep the coming. ;-)
Great tutorial as always my friend. Displacement maps have always confused me a bit, but now I'm starting to see the logic behind them. The way you explain is awesome. So to answer your question, I'd say a big YES!. I'd love to see more tutorials of this type of compositing. Sometimes you might know the function of a specific tool but when and how to implement the use of them is another story; this is where I get stuck sometimes. You have a gift for teaching so hopefully and eventually I will get a grasp.
The best thing is this tutorial can be applied to other uses. Keep'em coming and I'll keep liking them!
Thanks for this lesson.
I am practicing textures I have a logo on a transparent background.
I’d like to turn that logo into glass that glass that had been cracked.
What lesson would I find to turn the logo into glass and would this technique work for that.
Flat glass and smooth glass with a curved edge.
How do I do this.
I’ve had so much help with textures on this site and want to thank them.
Great Bullseye! /m/
Thumbs UP!
Gr8 video ! Now, displacement maps tend to work better if they are slightly blurred like 1 or 2 px
You’re a great teacher 😁
zakk wylde guitar !
Yes please more of the same.
Is that Zakk Wylde’s guitar?
When compositing like this you always make the smaller image larger. Why not make the larger image smaller?
because the glass doesn't have any critical detail in it like the face does. And its just a tutorial, so I wont be using the image for anything.
Zzzzzz................
HOLY FUCKING SHIT IT DOESN'T TAKE 4 MINUTES TO DECIDE WHERE YOU PUT IT. WE CAN FIGURE THAT OUT LATER.
