This should have been titled. "The Real Cost Of Owning A Pilatus PC24 for Non-Pilot Owners." As an owner/pilot, I don't have a need for any staff, so my costs are less that expense.

The bulk of the fixed costs are crew hiring and training. Since the PC24 is single pilot certified, was that cost based on having two or just one pilot? Also, if the owners themselves are pilots and don't fly often, their overall costs can be as less as 70k per year or less.

Gulfstream is about $1,000 an hour just on fuel. The FBO, pilots and waitress. There is insurance finance payment, and hanger fees

a G-550 will burn about 400 gallons in the first hr @ $6/gal = $2400. Just the fuel.

@@ChosenOne6666 Smallest Gulfstream, the 280 would burn about 285 gallons per hour (average) which at the modest $6 /gal price would be ~$1700 hr. No way the fleet average can be less than that.

Jets are not for economically challenged person but wealthy folks. Just like hypercars and super yachts

Not really. Its about saving time and not having to wait at the airport or really on other peoples schedule. A business man always values time. If you're taking people sometimes its cheaper than taking commercial depending on how many people on board and distance. Most wealthy people don't won it completely but do share ownership

A lot cheaper and easier to just charter..pay as you go.

Yeah, I feel like ownership of a jet is really reserved for the kind of people who don't have to think about the cost. Or for corporations who are going to use it on a near daily basis.
