So much new young talent...e.g. very nice pianist. Plus reliable contributions from the masters - Scott Hamilton and Joel Frahm. Lola Penaranda fits right in!
Joel AND Scott!!! We are spoiled, but hooked all the more. Lola will realise she is good enough to be among these masters and will relax even more (...the nervous searching eyes... "is this ok?"... Yes, it was fabulous! You've earned the front line. Talent and hard work have paid off.) Pau is betraying even more of those little flashes of real style he showed in earlier Jazz House performances. Marc Martin was a pianistic marvel cultivated in the SAJB hot house, in Pau I think there is another in the offing. Little Marti was great, impressive. I hope he stays and grows among the best young jazz band on the planet. If he chooses not to pursue music when older he will still have a memory (and a story to tell) to last a lifetime. It needs to be said often; thank you, Professor.
Great - slow pokey - atmospheric - blues. With Scot’s mellow slightly breathy tenor setting the pace. Just beautifully played session with the girl-soloist perfectly feeling the vibe. Beaut solo’s guys. This is the stuff what jazz is all about folks. Keep it up guys playing this beaut jazzy stuff! Toodeloo’s & Cheers!

Me he puesto a escucharlo con los ojos cerrados y me he quedado pillado. Después lo he vuelto a escuchar para ver quien tocaba en cada momento....... han sido unos minutos de ensueño, qué preciosidad de blues. Lola se ha salido con su solo y los de Joel y Scott, en su línea de maestría, sin olvidarnos del peque Marti, otra promesa para el futuro. Gracias por el vídeo, Maestro.

Senor Director in blue print shirt. I've been absent again for a while - but - I must say, you have not lost your touch in excellent direction of the young band - haven't skipped a beat at all.
To this performance I can only say Wow Wow Wooowww!! Stellar perfomance in all the solos by our distinguished guests the smooth as silk Scott Hamilton and the great Joel Fram who took his solo to to the edge of space and fell beautifully back into the melody.
I was lifted up and fell back with him. Quite a ride.
The song itself was a beauty, After Supper, I'll see if I can find the Count performing it but really, the young band is fantastic on each instrument.
Lola, Pau and Marti are flawless in their solos, I'm sure they enjoy very nuch playing with the great guests, lucky young muscians!
Glad I saw this and listened - stay well Joan and kids and Scott and Joel and Keep'em coming!!

I think I started watching around 2014 or 15 or 16 can't remember, but it's been a treat to watch the kids become accomplished musicians, Muy Bueno!!
