  • Sebo makes some super powerful and durable vacuum cleaners, but which upright vacuum is the best option for your home? In this video, Josh is going to compare Sebo's most popular upright vacuum cleaners, the Sebo Automatic X7 Pet and the Sebo Felix Onyx. With this video, you will be able to know what sets these machines apart from each other and which one is right for you.

I never comment on YT videos but your comparison assessment of these two vacuums (the two I couldn't decide was best for me) was EXCELLENT! I was leaning towards the Felix thinking it would be lighter to handle which is needed because I'm 70 but you changed my mind on that! The charcoal filter issue was also enlightening. It just sounds like the Sebo X7 would be better for a carpet full of golden retriever hair! Thank you!

I'm also in the market for a good pet vac because of our Golden Retriever! Had 3 dysons and they're not cutting it. Also has the odour issue.

With the Felix you can change out the head for hard floor cleaning plus you have suction control right at your finger tips.

Seeing how that Felix pivots has sold me!

I couldn’t quite tell from the video, does the X7 also do bare floors? My home is 50/50 carpet/laminate floor.

The Felix will also attach to a hard floor attachment which I use most of the time as I have hardwood floors throughout

It does! We love that attachment for our hardwood floors as well!

Great summary. I'm close to purchasing one and your review has now swung the pendulum in favour of the X7. However I'd like to know which is best on hard (tiled or wooden) floors?

Thanks for that great comparison. One point I'd like to see you address is that the Felix has the ability to turn off the brush. I would imagine that would be highly desirable when cleaning hard floors so you don't scatter debris. I believe the Felix is the only Sebo model that has that ability.

The X7 has an anti-scatter guard that Sebo calls the Sealing Strip. It’s quite effective at cleaning hard floors. We use it on our LVP vinyl plank flooring and I have no complaints, other than it doesn’t swivel but that’s okay. If I had a ton of hard floors, it might be a problem. Swiveling heads make it easy to clean around table chairs.

I saw your video comparing a Miele and the Sebo and i was really impressed with the edge cleaning with the head. I see that the felix has the same head so would imagine that it’s the same. How does the X7 cope with edges?

This is interesting, thank you. I have an X7, and was kicking myself thinking I should have got a Felix instead, but now I feel perhaps I made the right decision all along! Your video seemed to cut off towards the end, btw - just after the car comment - was that intentional? I was expecting a kind of final sum-up and close, but...

I've owned both and actually prefer the X7 over the Felix. I ended up returning the Felix because I just wasn't a fan of the top heavy design and lack of integrated wand.

Is the standard brushroll on the X4/X7 too aggressive on hard floors? Do you recommend the green brushroll for mixed hard floors and area rugs?

    • @vacuumsrus
      @vacuumsrus  ปีที่แล้ว +2

We have zero hesitation using the standard roller on finished hard surfaces. The it isn't that the standard roller is not "soft". The soft roller has more give on the brushes. The bristles bend easier making it flow easier over dense carpets that might otherwise stick to other brushes.

If the Felix had the handle on the suction hose, I’d buy it so fast. I own two x7s for my small business- I’m trying to find something that is just perfect for hard floors

Which bagged upright would you recommend? I’ve heard Sebo and Lindhaus are the best for this type - surprisingly have heard some bad things about Miele uprights compared to their canisters. And for the same mechanical reason with the distance of airflow and motor, is an upright more powerful than a canister? Thank you.

I have a Miele canister for about 7 years now. The Miele is good, but when I want something with super suction (cat hair & Litter) I bring out my Oreck upright bagged vacuum. It is the very first vacuum I bought as an adult - I'm now 70+ and it sucks up every tiny piece of stuff on hardwood and digs deep into getting cat fur out in my area rugs. I'm looking at upright Sebos now. This review is very helpful, I'll be looking at the X7.
