I absolutely love YSL l’homme! I think it exudes class and sophistication. It smells great! I hated it at first. It sat for probably 6 months before I actually started wearing it. I wish I could find another scent similar to it that uses ginger and bergamot in that way.

I feel like a lot of frag heads rant and rave about these bold, daring, and or niche frags and consider them high art because of that because theyre willing to take risks like that daring to stand out from the norm and there is DEFINITELY a time and place for that BUT i personally consider the company YSL a company that operates in high art in the way that they can so PERFECTLY blend multiple notes so seemlessly and create such perfect balance and for me THAT takes an artists approach.

Great video and I love the scent too, like falling into a pile of leaves in an oriental garden in autumn. I also agree that it is uplifting and moody elevating to wear. But I actually get decent performance out of it, about 6 hours and still can smell it lingering after my workout, In fact I wore a new bottle of Creed Aventus yesterday and I could not smell it at all after four sprays and an hour later! I was so disappointed I took it back to the retailer for a complete refund (at first I thought it was a scam bottle but we determined it wasn't). So now that Aventus is massively watered down I was happy to wear L'Homme today and I could still smell it after 6 hours. I also had a sampling strip from yesterday that I used to show the woman at the store that Creed Aventus didn't last more than an hour (and it didn't) and on the same strip today :L'Homme is still going strong after 7 hours. So yes, L'Homme is a softer scent that sits close to the body, but its performance is average, and not bad (like new 2020 Creed Aventus). It just seems like not so good performance because of its softer more intimate nature.

its really cheap 100ml in France its almost 100$ the 100ml :o for me i can smell the green apple freshly cut just after the ginger and then the vettiver and then the spicy woody floral smell i love it

Any fragrance with poor longevity is a pass for me. Can't believe designers charge such a premium price for scents with poor performance. Exe. Most YSL and Dior homme ...love the scent just wish they lasted.
Im not gonna spend anymore money on poor sillage and longevity fragrances anymore, i have 2 already, the one edp and ysl la nuit de lhomme la parfum, both smell amazing but are just skin scents... not worth the money imo
@@NikhilD91 Yeah, you'll be fine in close proximity situations. You have the power to control the projection based on how many sprays you choose. I like to be noticed 2 feet away, not 20 feet away. To each their own though
Caleb Clinton oh okay thanks! I’m really new to fragrances. just got Chanel Allure Eau Extreme and I’ve tried La Nuit very much enjoyed it. I was thinking of grabbing it from a discounter but I’ve heard the projection and lasting power is bad but I planned to just wear it at college/dates. Moreover, I haven’t tried L’Homme though but I’m assuming it’s similar. If you had to pick between the two to get first what would you suggest?

This doesn't smell as nice as it used to. Also it's weaker than it was . It was never a powerhouse fragrance but it's just scented water now ,all I get is a light apple ,ginger and vetiver smell coming through, it was a recent sample I tried aswell so no chance of it been fake . Don't buy this unless you can find a vintage bottle.

This stuff is amazing. I don't know how most people value La Nuit De L'Homme over this one. In my opinion this is the best one in the line no doubt!
La Nuit smells a bit sexier imo.
Mannn, this scent brings back so many memories. TBH I still havent been able to get into any of the others. But this ones a classic for sure.

I own 2009 batch. It was beast smelling fragrance, so spice, its heavier then La nuit 2009 batch. Very long lasting and not lineal at all. So complex
The performance could be better, but this fragrance is a masterpiece! Super nice smooth blend. So smooth and sensual.
I also spray it on my hands before I go to sleep it's so relaxing.
