Guys remember, the amount of sprays depends on the fragrance. For a light fresh scent 5-7 is pretty good, but for a sweet woody fragrance if you spray that much you might die.

I’m sure a couple exposures in a bathroom wouldn’t hurt it, but if you have 2-3 people showering daily with your colognes in there, I can easily see how it can ruin a fragrance quicker. And as someone with a larger than average collection, it’s easily gonna take longer than 5 years to go through each bottle so I’ll be doing everything I can to make them last as long as possible. Storing them in the closet instead of the bathroom isn’t hard to do.

Love these hints and tips it's important to follow these as no matter the quality of fragrance it can be spoiled for so many reasons. There are definitely fragrances for different occasions, good hygiene is absolutely essential, rubbing in ruins the fragrance drying down time and storing the fragrances in places which are cool and dark is imperative otherwise their scent is totally ruined. Great video! I never spray fragrance on my clothing as perfumes are luxurious and expensive.........those with less alcohol can ruin clothing. I love that Coco Chanel said, "Where perfume wherever you want to be kissed!" :-)

I think you could dedicate a whole video on how to choose the right fragrance for the occasion/season/environment etc. and avoid committing error #3. What the general “rules” are.... like, lighter in summer/ warmer/heavier in winter- but then there is bending the rules- like once I dared to wear one of my favorite scents that’s probably better suited for fall/Winter... but it’s just my favorite and kind of become my personal / signature scent- So I just wore it one day on a not-too-hot but warm summer day to go get coffee and a man complimented me as he was standing next to me at the coffee/cream/sugar station where we were doctoring our coffees :) he liked it! Lol I think it was more noticeable bc the warmth made the scent go out a little farther and it’s not the lightest scent. But it’s not so strong or heavy that I worry or mind wearing it anytime, I feel very comfortable in it. Oh by the way that scent is “Hunter” by MCMC but my new favorite is anything by LeLabo

For outside i usually spray about 4-6 sprays on my pulse points for my summer fragrances It's the indoors you gott be aware about. My fall fragrance I'm a bit more careful cause it's sweeter.

One humble bit of advice: buy your jackets (not your suits or pants, JUST the blazers/jackets) one size bigger and simply get your sleeves shortened afterwards. That double breasted blazer fits your chest well (at least in this video) but creates constraining "X-lines" around your belly, which doesn't look professional. I think 7 is a lot too. When I go with more than 3 on strong ortiental fragrances, I sometimes get remarks that it's too much. I can't even imagine how bad it would be with 7 sprays. I remember once a sales clerk from a Sephora that spayed me 10 times with Lolita Lempicka Au Masculin (granted it was far from me, not directly 10cm from the skin). I swear the entire street could smell me, and my gf said it was too much and almost nauseating. Uhuh, not good.

In reference to Rule #5, do you think fragrances suffer any ill effects when they are shipped from the the original manufacturing facility to company warehouse and then to either department stores or residential addresses? The temperature extremes can vary from frigid cold to blistering hot. Generally speaking, for premier fragrance brands, it would take a longer term exposure to such environments before noticeable denaturation would occur, right?
This is an old comment, but it's a bit of a mixed bag, based on how well the manufacturer handles their product, and it also has to do with duration. Part of why Rule #5 exists is because of they're stored there, you're guaranteed to expose them to high humidity, and incredibly fluctuating temperatures over *very long periods of time*, especially if you use them somewhat sparingly.

My new favorite perfume (my bottle is almost empty) is the women’s version of the one you are wearing tonight! I knew I loved it for a reason. Might have to buy me the men’s version just for fun.
As far as simply neutralizing smell in the first place without adding a cheap, gross deodorant smell OR using toxic aluminum - I really love the solid Salt sticks! You just wet them, and glide them on. They don’t have a smell, but the Salt prevents the bacteria from growing and creating odor. My other favorite deodorant that does have really nice fresh, clean smell- is by Weleda, and it’s their liquid salt spray deodorant, in “Sage” which has lavender notes. Their “Wild Rose” is also really nice! I sometimes like to switch them up- Sage is great for summer or all -seasons, but the Rose is especially nice in winter, to me it’s stronger than the sage smell. So I kind of like to layer my fragrances, and Weleda is just my favorite way to do that using their salt spray- the sage or rose. There is also a Citrus version, which hasn’t really spoken to me I never gravitate to it but I’ve used and loved the Sage & Rose versions for years now. And I stink without them! Lol sometimes if I’m out of stuff I just have to rock with my own natural “musk” 😜
There are perfumes which smell so strong that I would spray it on and then take a shower after that , what I get is the perfect not to overwhelm fragrance . Some fragrance still linger on my clothes after I wash them . Still lingering after 1 month .
Shower, deodorant, and done for me. I have never purchased a single bottle of fragrance in my entire life and any given to me have always sat virtually unused until I throw them out years later. The problem is that always I'm always left with a headache no matter how little or where it's applied. Even being around others wearing it can be too much at times.

That kinda depends on the scent. I wouldn't spray more than 5 sprays of ADG Profumo....but I probably could get away with 7 sprays of regular ADG since it's such a light scent.
In the bathroom isnt a problem guys. But put them in the cabinet and put them back in the box where it came in. My 6 years old fragrances still running strong.
Rule #6 - don't ever be in the same room with Jim R while wearing the same fragrance....because there will be trouble. LOL! Sadly, prior to meeting me my girlfriend stored her three bottles of perfume in the bathroom and wondered by her 200ml flacon of Chanel Gardenia EDT went bad. She has been educated. Cheers!

6th Mistake, don’t spray that close to a suit / shirt , you will stain it , some parfumes are oily enough to make a “nice” stain. #fragrancearmy

Yea i agree. Typically i do 1 spray. 2 max. Back of the neck. 3 sprays for the Eccentric molecules.
It depends what you use and he is talking about outside not inside.

As far as simply neutralizing smell in the first place without adding a cheap, gross deodorant smell OR using toxic aluminum - I really love the solid Salt sticks! You just wet them, and glide them on. They don’t have a smell, but the Salt prevents the bacteria from growing and creating odor. My other favorite deodorant that does have really nice fresh, clean smell- is by Weleda, and it’s their liquid salt spray deodorant, in “Sage” which has lavender notes. Their “Wild Rose” is also really nice! I sometimes like to switch them up- Sage is great for summer or all -seasons, but the Rose is especially nice in winter, to me it’s stronger than the sage smell. So I kind of like to layer my fragrances, and Weleda is just my favorite way to do that using their salt spray- the sage or rose. There is also a Citrus version, which hasn’t really spoken to me I never gravitate to it but I’ve used and loved the Sage & Rose versions for years now. And I stink without them! Lol sometimes if I’m out of stuff I just have to rock with my own natural “musk” 😜

There are perfumes which smell so strong that I would spray it on and then take a shower after that , what I get is the perfect not to overwhelm fragrance . Some fragrance still linger on my clothes after I wash them . Still lingering after 1 month .

Shower, deodorant, and done for me. I have never purchased a single bottle of fragrance in my entire life and any given to me have always sat virtually unused until I throw them out years later. The problem is that always I'm always left with a headache no matter how little or where it's applied. Even being around others wearing it can be too much at times.

Great information on how to store our perfume that most people don’t know. You are amazing and I love your fragrance reviews. It has steered me to purchase some awesome fragrances.
7x sprays? Isn't it overkill? I spray 3x and projection is just enough, you don't want to be annoying with too strong smell.
That kinda depends on the scent. I wouldn't spray more than 5 sprays of ADG Profumo....but I probably could get away with 7 sprays of regular ADG since it's such a light scent.
D@G light blue is a weak scent. Six to seven sprays for outside is fine.

In the bathroom isnt a problem guys. But put them in the cabinet and put them back in the box where it came in. My 6 years old fragrances still running strong.
Rule #6 - don't ever be in the same room with Jim R while wearing the same fragrance....because there will be trouble. LOL! Sadly, prior to meeting me my girlfriend stored her three bottles of perfume in the bathroom and wondered by her 200ml flacon of Chanel Gardenia EDT went bad. She has been educated. Cheers!
