Mike is a Boss Slayer. I’ve seen him beat bosses with unwavering persistence and determination. Sometimes I used to prefer just watching my friend play certain games especially in the early years of the SNES and then the PlayStation. This content feels like that very much and thank you for that.
This video is awesome af. However, it does make my childhood feel less complete, not having beat all these games myself. Now I have a new goal I didn't know I needed, until now. Thanks Mike. lol

Most of these bosses took many deaths for him to beat ;^w^ the Super Ghouls and Ghosts took like 4 streams, 4 hours each. And 80% of it was stuck on the final level and boss. 😅

Visually I’ve always thought Vigo was more appealing than Gozer. Vigo just has this presence about him.
Nice! I've seen some of these full playthroughs before like Fester's Quest, Gremilins 2, Friday the 13th, but I some of the other games I'll have to watch the playthoughs sometime.

I recall the first boss I beat in a retro game was Chaos in Final Fantasy NES. The satisfaction of watching him dissolve and the screen shake as a kid was awesome.
You know a game is fucking hard when even Mike relaxes after the final boss.

This was perfect for Halloween, and idk how you beat all these hard retro games, I've only actually beaten a couple of these, the rest I played only made it partway through, and I've beaten dark souls 1 and 3. These are Harder.
Awesome but it would have been more awesome if you let the endings play since some of these games are so frustrating and many people haven't seen it. Happy Halloween!🎃

If you want a suggestion for a Halloween game, Doom 3, but don't think of it so much as a Doom game, rather think of it as just a horror-themed FPS. It's not the crazy action of Doom 4 and Doom Eternal, and it's not the non-stop running and gunning of Doom 1 and 2, but it IS the most horror-themed Doom game. But you're not the Doom guy. It's more of a standalone game, along with the expansion Resurrection of Evil.
Trust me, Doom 3, great horror game, get the BFG edition I guess, or the Xbox original version, which is the only one that has 2 player online co-op. Dunno why they didn't include that in the BFG edition.

Hey Mike, have you ever played cobra triangle for nes, and if so have you ever beaten it? Me and my brother used to play it a lot but we never beat it.
Friday the 13th on the NES has really good fucking music, and I remember having a lot of fun with it as a kid. Although I really like AVGN, I feel like James kind of ruined the rep of this game to people who have never played it. Now it is just assumed to be 'bad'.

i never understood why him and james mash buttons like that for NES games 😂 like there’s clearly only so many attacks the players can do they do attack per button presses or whatever 😂
