I'm trying to plan a trip to japan in the future, and all of your videos have been extremely helpful, and entertaining to watch, keep up the good work. I could use all the useful tips that i could get my hands on, and i can't wait to take a trip to japan.
Great video! Very helpful! As a tourist do you think i need to learn how to speak basic japanese language? Im going kn my forst solo trip in japan so im a bit nervous.
@@calebwatchfield wow! Please! Btw.. how is japan in terms of gay couples? A friend of mine will visit japan and will rent Kuromontsuki haori hakama, would the rental place be okay with this if two guys rent it?
Hey Caleb! It's refreshing to see another backpacker enthusiastic about self improvement. I'm looking to make some new contacts in the country that want to collaborate and film some meaningful content about travelling etc. Let me know if that sounds like something you'd be interested in collaborating on. Best wishes,
I’m a little bit confused about one of my routes. I use Google Maps mainly to check transportation. One of my routes includes the Toyoko Line, but Google Maps says “no need to change the train.” Is the Toyoko Line included in the pass? By the way, the route is from Higashi-Shinjuku Station to Naka-Meguro Station.
@@kamum26 only stations covered by Tokyo metro and Toei subway are included in the pass. In Japan, it’s common for same train to continue serving other lines. So you need to leave the train before it changes to the Toyoko line
I initially had a 2 day weekend stay (1-3 March) booked in Yokohama, and then a 4 day stay in Toyocho from Monday to Friday (3 to 7 March). Do you think it is worth staying in Yokohama at all, or should I stay closer to Shibuya? I don't know if the Tokyo subway passes will be usable in Yokohama.
I would stay closer to Shibuya for greater accessibility. Yokohama is not in Tokyo so it’s not covered by the Tokyo subway ticket. But Yokohama is good for a day trip from Tokyo :)
@@calebwatchfield Thanks, appreciate it. I've just changed my hotel booking from Yokohama to APA Asakasa (C06 on the Chiyoda Line) as I read it was rather central and close to Shibuya area.
@@yetson Just so you are aware, there are two similar sounding places. Asakusa is a tourist district famous for a major temple and traditional goods. Akasaka is a mid/high end residential/business district with high rises. If you say Asakasa I think you would be led the wrong direction since they would probably presume a tourist wants to go to Asakusa rather than Akasaka.
Hello from argentina! Planning 2025 going back to japan, is suica card available? Heard that not for turists anímate, and going with my 9 year old son, do you thing its a good idea? Regards
Hi! Since September, the Suica cards are available at ticket machines again. You can get a child Suica (half price for ages 6-11) at the JR ticket office/service center :)
Let me know your questions in the comments!

It shouldn't be a problem at all :) People in Japan are very respectful and won’t intrude into other people’s lives

Not sure about the airport, but collection can be done at the subway station ticket machines :)

Great video, but It looks like your promo code doesn’t work for people in the US.
So glad this video was helpful! I heard Klook changed their policies🥲
