It makes you feel like time has flown by, your older, and that you are no longer in the “happy days”, days where Erin was thin. It’s like if Jack went bald. You would feel sad/angry because the “glory days” of watching jackfilms and being young have passed. His personality didn’t change, but things have changed and he got older along with you. Also, given the fact that often when people are depressed they will over eat and gain weight, I think people are also sad/worried for Erin. The issue is usually this sadness comes out in the form of something like, “damn, she got fat” Anyways, this is just what I think, and there is a lot more to it than what was said, but it’s a part of it.

It’s just weird/off putting to see a big change all of the sudden. People don’t like change. It makes you feel like time has flown by, your older, and that you are no longer in the “happy days”, days where Erin was thin.
It’s like if Jack went bald. You would feel sad/angry because the “glory days” of watching jackfilms and being young have passed. His personality didn’t change, but things have changed and he got older along with you.
Also, given the fact that often when people are depressed they will over eat and gain weight, I think people are also sad/worried for Erin. The issue is usually this sadness comes out in the form of something like, “damn, she got fat”
Anyways, this is just what I think, and there is a lot more to it than what was said, but it’s a part of it.

Also the weight gain isn't from depression it's probably from the fact they've been locked inside for a year with no real way to go to the gym and exercise regularly

Erin has been a very important/lovable person throughout Jack’s channel, so her gaining a fair amount of weight is what I would consider a change.
