- This was an unforgettable day of low flying in the Mach Loop, this was my third and final day from a 3 day trip to the Mach Loop in June 2024, this day was an unforgettable day, before 9am we must have had more than 16 passes from F15 and F35, as well as an abundance of other aircraft throughout the rest of the day.
Certainly saved the best day day last, days like these in the low fly structure of the Mach Loop don't happen that often.

I was surprised to hear the noticable difference in power settings between the two. The f35 comes in at a very low power setting compared to the F15e. I live 2 miles from an f35 base, and I know the noise of f35 engines well. This tells a lot about the sleek nature of the f35 fuselage compared to an f15 with massive droptanks and stores filled.

Safe to say it isn’t always quiet after the USAF have a day off. I was on West couldn’t believe that first hour. But those four Hawks were so close together.
It was a busy morning David, the 4 Hawks I gave up trying to video them after the first one passed, quality passes.

Those trainers don't have quite the cache' as the fighters, but they're faster and meaner than anything I've piloted.
I'm still jealous.
I find it harder ro photograph a Hawk compared to the F15 and F35.
Can you pitch a tent there.?
You can put a pop up tent around there in the daytime, but no night camping allowed around the Snowdonia National Park.
