    Dear Uncle Henry,
    Your passion shines through in your clear and transparent explanations. Your generosity in sharing knowledge is truly appreciated. While the time zone difference and the cost of the full course ($3.5k) made it challenging for me to sign up, I've been diligently watching all your TH-cam videos. I've already learned a tremendous amount and gained much more confidence in trading options. "Thanks" hardly does justice to my gratitude. Please continue your fantastic work!

    Managing money is different from accumulating wealth, and the lack of investment education in schools may explain why people struggle to maintain their financial gains. The examples you provided are relevant, and I personally benefited from the market crisis, as I embrace challenging times while others tend to avoid them. Well, at least my advisor does too, jokingly

      yes i agree and right now the markets are going berserk right now. This is the best time to watch them, get to know them better, and strike when the opportunity presents itself. I learned that from my mentor, *VALERIE ELLEN CIRBO* he's seen dozens of market cycles over the past few decades, and he has a feel for how they move, why they move, and what comes next.

      With the right strategy, it's not difficult to make monthly profits of up to 6 digits as I've made up to $75k per month since last year. Even though I have been investing for a while, it is very important for me to get help from a tutor to identify and take advantage of this market opportunity

    Thanks for making the video. But just curious- if we look at math it doesn't make sense. at 7:18, if the delta means there's a 14%chance of the option being exercised, doesn't that mean statistically the expected value is 45*0.86+(-455)*0.14=-25? which indicates that if we repeat the trade many times we will end up losing money... How do you explain this?

    • @claudioairo6826

      I would think some form of a hedging strategy is needed to reduce the loss amount. The downside to that would probably be a lower win rate. I've been searching for a combination of entry strategy, trade management strategy and exit strategy that will produce positive results in the long run. Haven't found it yet.
      BTW, didn't the thumb nail for this video state "100% WIN RATE"???

    • @dominicvargas3896
      @dominicvargas3896 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I like your thinking. This is something that I have also wondered about. I am not 100% on the math you used there. However, if you have a 0.10 delta and a 10/1 risk/reward, does not this mean that once all is said and done, you will have about what you started with? If all you based your trade on was delta, you are basically gambling.
      You need to study data on the stocks and ETFs that you trade options on. Keep your risk diversified. Double down on positions that are going farther and farther into the money. Close out of positions that are moving against you.
      1 loss offsetting 10 wins in a 10% profitability trade ratio sounds like stagnant trades. However, the biggest thing is closing out of bad positions. You would only net 0$ in the long run if all you did was open trades and let them run till expiration. That is what delta is measuring.

    • @dominicvargas3896
      @dominicvargas3896 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@claudioairo6826 yes, you can get a 100% win ratio. You should read my other comment. If you close out of bad positions, you will not lose your max loss. I guess it is a 100% win strategy if you only count complete losses. Please monitor your credit spreads. If you get assigned or exercised, that could set you way back in terms of earnings.
      The way this works is that, you collect a credit for the current value of the premium upon selling the contract. If at some point the price moves against you, the value of your contract may increase. At this point, you may pay more money to close the position than you collected to open it, resulting in a net partial loss. However, if it is a long enough premium, some of the value may have already eroded enough so that you might breakeven or still make some profit.

      @@claudioairo6826 no strategy gives 100% win rate. In credit spreads, risk is defined (width x 100) but upside is capped. So need to make sure WIN rate is higher else account will be GONE in few trades!! LOL.

    Sorry another beginner question... if the stock price has this trade profiting, can you just let the contract expires and realize the profits? Or do you have to close the trade before expiration to take the profit? Thank you!

    • @dominicvargas3896
      @dominicvargas3896 หลายเดือนก่อน

      When sold put options contracts expire, you collect the premium, regardless if anything else happens. You could simply wait till expiration to collect your full premium. However, if the certain factors come into play early on, you could buy the contract back for a lower price before expiration. This would close your position early, but still make some of the premium.

    Risking $467 to make $33 is really not all that good of a risk to reward. Lets use the delta % chance to clarify this. You get it right 9 out of 10 times, the one time its wrong, you give back all the gains and more, 30 days out anything can happen too. You gotta have a ton of money to reliably make profits on the SPY with options. 1 contract is worth 50k, spreads work but risk cant be ignored.

    • @justinwagner8800

      I do this but I put stop losses in at 100% (or in this case $66) I win about 8/10 times so for this it would be $33*8wins = $264 $66*2losses = - $132 So total profit is $264 - $132 = $132

      He has other videos that help with this. That would depend on how much you are willing to lose. A higher spread width equals more money that you would have to put up to get into the trade and possibly lose.
      For example, a spread width of 1$ = $100 max loss (1 contract = 100 shares). You determine this distance based on how bullish you are and how much risk you want to take.

  • @danielnachajon7648

    Maybe you can clarify a question of mine. This is a simplification of course but, if we safely collect $45 some 86% of the time and assume we lose 455 the other 14% of the time, then the expected value is $45*86% - $455*14% = -$25. This is seemingly a negative expected value trade. Now, the payout is not strictly binary and delta is not actually a measure of win probability, but can you expand on why this trade is actually long term profitable?

      Watch tastytrade. They go over all the percentages and P/L ratios at different deltas, IV percentages, holding to expiration vs managing at 21 DTE.

      I'm consistently making 40%-65% plus a month using Henry's strategies. Opening a PCS/CCS for a credit of say $10/Loss $90 and sitting on your thumbs thinking your helpless as your position creeps past a $25 loss is the only way you lose money. If you can't close your position then either your broker sucks or you missed the big part of this video (and many of his other videos) about liquidly.

    • @ghost9pm407
      @ghost9pm407 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      If you do that you'd be selling a Cash-Secured Put and would need the full $40k+ as collateral in order to enter the trade. If you don't have that amount available in your account that is what is referred to as selling a "naked put".
      When you buy the put option, you have effective control over 100 shares, which allows you to sell the Put option without needing to have the full $40k collateral.
      In effect, its just as you said, the options counteract each other with the result being a small credit to your account. The only collateral you need is the width of the spread x100. In this instance since the spread is $5 so you would need $500 collateral to enter the position.
      Also, because of the opposing Puts, it defines the amount of loss you can take. The max loss would be the spread amount minus the premium you received.

    • @trptguy23
      @trptguy23 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I’m honestly surprised that someone with as much experience as he claims to have would suggest this strategy. Yes, you are going to have a high win rate… but when you lose (and you absolutely will lose from time to time), your losses take out months of gains. Imagine doing this at the start of a major correction and you lose 2 trades in a row. Now you’ve lost over a year’s worth of gains.
    When doing spreads, you’ve gotta collect at least 1/4 to 1/3 the width of the spread to make it worthwhile.

If you did the credit spread in your example 100x you would make $3,870 but lose $6,370, if you trust the delta win rates (which it’s not anyway but that’s how you always seem to use delta, but the delta changes all the time and month to month so you can’t base a yearly strategy off it)

    Market only goes up? And that's why SPY went from 450 to 420 in a month when sell call credit spread would have been more profitable 🤣
    Henry you really need to script your videos better and think about what you want to talk about and whether it makes sense rather than rambling on its really painful to listen sometimes!
