Yes I would charge it with the car charger if it was low enough where the sun or lack of sun wouldn’t charge it up in a day and if I was driving for and extended amount of time. I just unplug the solar panel and plug in the car charger. I rarely had to do that though as the solar panel kept it charged most of the time.
