- I survived the day with Trey Mitchell, one of the most successful strongman competitors in the world! We start with an amazing pre workout BBQ meal before an intense leg day full of HEAVY squats!
He was 2018 America's Strongest Man and holds the title of Texas's Strongest Man for both 2021 and 2022!

I'm a huge Brian shaw fan and never really got to know trey that well but he actually seems like a really cool down to earth guy. Loved this video Will. Now you gotta get Brian to let you in his gym!

I'm constantly blown away by Wills ability to connect with different people & always be himself. He almost seems destined for bigger things with that personality. This was one of my favourite episodes this year & Trey who I didn't know about before this came across as an awesome dude as well

I discovered Will's channel a little over a month ago and have been literally binge-watching ever since. The content is fabulous, and Will's sense of humour is second to none. I'm 55 years of age and have always loved fitness, but this wonderful young man has inspired me to take my fitness to the next level. Thank you Will. Please come to Australia soon.

Strong men, body building, Olympians etc are not healthy people. They’re incredible athletes but again, that doesn’t make you healthy. You are the problem. Educate yourself. Eating 10 thousand cals a day is not healthy for anyone. He is not naturally that size. He put in the work to be that size but his heart/organs are under severe pressure

I guess I'm also a unhealthy person being close to 300 pounds constantly in a caloric deficit but because of genetics and a thyroid issue cannot lose the weight. So thanks again for letting anyone who is on the bigger side of life that we are all unhealthy. I guess your next comment will be along the lines of making the world better by not being here. So let's then pull in the people with mental disorders as well. Why not right. Cause we all have to be perfect.
Trey seemed like a very cool guy. He was genuinely happy to see Will. Judging from other comments i hope Trey gets really famous like Brian Shaw,Eddie etc and become great ambassador of the sport.
He'll need to win WSM or star in a movie to reach that level of fame. Strongman is still a small, very underfunded sport, that most people don't know much if anything about. His shows tend to be livestreamed, if you want to find ways to support him. Not sure what his next show is, but he did the Giants Live Strongman Nation Challenge: UK vs US yesterday, and decimated everyone on the log press.
Doubt it. Eddie has an electric personality and Brian is one of the GOATs and makes good content. No offense to Trey but he's pretty vanilla. Not a superstar guy.

I got to meet Trey at the Shaw Classic in 2021 and he was incredibly friendly to me. I asked him some questions on how to get started in strongman and just some overall tips for getting stronger/avoiding injury and he was so helpful.
Really down to earth and humble dude!
i started at a strongman gym about a couple months ago (wasn't making great progress on my own, never had training before, figured if i wanted to do strongman i'd better just find a coach/classes) I've been absolutely steamrolled at every workout. it's super fun but the most challenging thing I've done. these dudes are crazy athletic and the community is super supportive of all levels of strength. love seeing the strongman content!

Being from Texas myself, I can confirm that their barbecue pre workout meal is 100% accurate to what Texans eat.
Your content in my opinion is some of the best in the fitness industry. Occasionally watched your videos past few years but only just these past months went through them all. The amount of free info you give out for training and diet is greatly appreciated and the humour in your videos really lift my spirits if I’m feeling down some days.
I have struggled for years with an eating disorder like you did and at one point being in the hospital because of it. Just listening to your story and how you approach a balanced lifestyle has helped me a lot with how I look at food and being more comfortable with my body image. Thanks for what you do and inspiration you give to others.

Unfortunately Europeans dominate WSM. Brian is like the only American to win it since the 70s, before Europeans competed in it.

Great to see a video with Trey. I've been a strongman fan for a good 3-4 years now and he's definintely not one that's interviewed alot compared to the "favourites". This really makes me see him as a wholesome and friendly giant. Looking forward to cheering for him in future competitions. :)

I actually integrated a lot more band work in my sets, focusing on mind/muscle connection throughout and I broke right through a plateau and started gaining again. Definitely don't underestimate band work!

I'm a psw (equivalent to a CNA) and have to help people transfer, turn over, and lift themselves. I'm a little jealous of Trey's strength! I think he'd be a great psw 😂. I do work out to be able to do what I do, but man, watching him lift 400 lbs like it's nothing! Mad respect.

This guy went to my school's gym back in the day, not sure if he still does but it was freaking crazy seeing what he was doing in there. Bro had his own entire corner in that weight room with all this special (and frankly impossible) equipment. It's crazy to see this really and how far he's come. Mad respect
