    Some people here have, ironically, missed the point entirely. It is not a worship song. It is a drama set to music, and it has a clear and important message.

      I know I will never be the same I saw amazing things and how can you judge a church by a drama the are so talented and on fire for god. I thought it was amazing and the whole point is to get out of the box of normality and complacency. Just because the music is different doesn't mean that they aren't on fire for god. WarriorFest changed my life and I will never be the same. Go to the church and see it for yourself.

      This point is that the church will attract more members if the church becomes just like the world. Some churches of this denomination try to get more people in with professional "Christian" wrestling.

      Perry Stone has no denomination, or are you being obtuse on purpose?

      "Some churches of this denomination" appears to refer to the context of the conference and site in which the drama occurred. The conference and the site do not have a denominational affiliation. There was no reference specifically to Perry Stone in my post.

    all we need to spread the word and save souls is the word and the power of the holy spirit we dont need tactics from the world that we are tryen to deliver people from. people who use the same model from the world to evagelisted the world are still inside the box of rebellion and dont know what the true gospel is but this is to be expected sence we r living in times of greate deception

    Hello Perry Stone. We have been receiving your VOE magazines for some time now; and a good number of them in the past couple years usually has an article reinforcing what you say is the new expression or form of worship. And in one of the articles, in light of two verses in the NT that deals with the NT corporate fellowship of the church & the walk of the believer, you stated along the lines that "...The Bible says that there are psalms, hymns and spiritual songs."As far as that statement goes, I would say a very definite amen to that. Because well, obviously: it is simply what the Bible says. And in addition, just one of truths we learn from these two verses, that you know more than I do, is that the singing of psalms, hymns & spiritual songs are the fountain of praise springing forth from the genuine heart of worship; & that worship springs forth out of someone who is saturated by the word of God. And obviously, you've been in the word a lot longer & deeper than I have & know much more than I can ever know about the things of God and his word. So therefore my only question to your statement would be somewhere along the lines of this: May you please explain how Eph 5:19 & Col 3:16 would corolate & fit-in with these dance performances that is pop-choreographed to a small range of secular pop music from your perspective? To give you a little background: In times past around 7 or so years back, as a young man of 14 to 17 years old, I have always looked up to you as a great teacher & a minister of the word of God. And I still highly regard you as a dear brother in Christ.I am nevertheless concerned with some of the direction you're taking with the youth of your ministry. I sincerely hope you don't take this the wrong way. Even though I don't know everything about your youth ministry, but I know there are a lot of things that you're accomplishing to help these young people in many ways that I can never amount to. Let me put it like this: God has given you such a great opportunity to genuinely reach a great multitude of young people with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. And I can only imagine with that great privilege of having that platform to truly reach that generation with the Gospel comes with great responsibility. And it is our responsibility for us not to misuse if not abuse that privilege.From what I can see, and not only in light of other people's observation - But ultimately in light of the Scripture: the way some of the music related programs in the ministry is being deliberately approached & handled in the manner in which it is does very little in the way of profiting & edifying anyone for the sake of the ministry & for those spiritually hungry souls in need; nonetheless in the process of being divorced from the Scripture & from the genuine heart of worship. From studying Scripture in depth; & from simply reading Scripture that is easy to understand - this can be very easy to see. I know that you really do have heart-felt motives of wanting to show these young people the ways of righteousness & the heart of repentance towards God in accordance after the Gospel. But on the other hand, almost anybody could raise the question whether or not even some of the methodology that you have embraced as a minister is really at all helping to further that cause. I don't know if embracing the material - as methods for your ministry - that is churned-out by an industry that is rooted in rebellion against God & His word is really one of the answers to these young people's problems. So therefore it is in this area where I would have to express disagreement. The thing is Mr. Stone, is that I love you enough as a brother to the point I would hate to see your ministry go down the tubes like this; a lot like other churches that I've attended that have fallen into the trap of going along with the wide-spread pop-driven fad. And I've seen this happen before time & time again. And I say "fad": not in the sense that it's just a passing fashion that merely comes & goes for a short time; But rather: a movement. And from studying both history & Scripture: any movement up to this time that has always emphised the desires of the youth at the expense of the wisdom of the elders - that unfortunately I personally don't see passing away in a short time until the Lord physically returns to set-up His millennial Kingdom here on earth.An answer to my first question would be very helpful. Thank you & God Bless.

    AWESOME! This hits where alot of kids live these days. There's a whole generation of people being shunned by the church in this country because they don't fit in the box designated to be "Christians". Many who don't LOOK the part are dying or turning to the world because that is the only place they feel accepted. If we are called to be Jesus to the world, it means we are to love and accept ALL who would come to Him. Not just those willing to look the way we expect them to. I love these kids.

    This is amazing. Some may not understand this form of worship, and that is okay... because it is not for you. Personally, it is not even the way I myself express worship, but at the end of the day it does not matter how you worship God. To say this form of worship is not accepted by God is absurd to me. He does not accept worship because the sound you make or the way you move, God sees the heart. I personally know Rakeem & Machal and know their worship and hearts are pure. These two love God and are passionate about being a light to the upcoming generation. Their hearts are for the lost and broken. Young people these days aren't attracted to the hymns and the old school way of doing things. It is not a matter of them looking like the world. It is a matter of reaching the young people in a way that relates to them. Worship isn't about a song or how high you lift you hands, worship is found in sacrifice and the position of the heart. This couple that leads this group lays down everything to reach a generation coming up that many do not understand. Their heart is to give God the glory in all they do. To Rakeem and Machal, you two have lead more people to Christ in a day than most people will in their life. Never get discouraged because some do not understand your worship. I am proud of you both. Keep reaching the lost. God gets all the glory.

      Kristian Moen Hello Kristian, I know this comment you posted is well over two years old; but therefore, there are countless individuals who have your comment & hung on every word you stated. I just read your comment & slightly pondered what you stated. From what I can see, from reading & knowing the Scriptures:
      The Lord Jesus has given to us as His Body what the Scripture calls "A new song" to the Lord in mouths of the people of God. And that word "New" in the Old Testiment is used more in relation to music than any other context. And it doesn't mean a new-style nor a new different use of notes. But rather it means new in nature; new in kind. And these new songs that God has genuinely entrusted & gifted to us are in the expression of what the Scripture refers to as Psalms & hymns & spiritual songs. And it is strongly noted that this genioune expression of praise & worship are only the mere symptoms of the believer being in the walk & in fellowship with God. Let me come at this from another perspective.
      It could be said that there's always certain kinds of musical expressions that fits their desired purpose. And a musical expression could nevertheless most very well be a symptom & the fruit of the tree that grows from their desired inward intention. And this is reflected in the truth that music in a sense is a part of us; and just one of the ways it is, is because it either ennobles or degrades our behaviour. And obviously, the kinds of entertainments especially with music that we consume ourselves of goes into our hearts & minds and works for good or ill - their subtle magic. And reflecting upon that it is the outward behaviour that is the fruit of the tree that grows from within the heart; that again, grew from the seeds we planted in them which was exactly the kinds of entertainments we've sown into our hearts & minds. And in addition, just one of truths we learn from Eph 5:19 & Col 3:16, is that the singing of psalms, hymns & spiritual songs are the fountain of praise springing forth from the genuine heart of worship; & that worship springs forth out of someone who is saturated by the word of God. As Brother Stephen Hamilton stated: "As far as God's word is concerned: there's something for you to sing by experience. There has to be something to sing about before your gonna sing; that you've experience the grace of God in your heart - that you're saved; that you've been washed in the blood of the Lamb - because that is so important."
      Something that would equip the believer, which is the fundamental-core yet very simple principle concerning & that underlines this subject-matter. Something that not only transcends everything as broad as the subject-matter itself: covering matters from biology to history; from genealogy to science. But something that goes much broader, deeper & much more transcendent than to be trapped inside the boxes & frameworks of music styles labels themselves. And is definitely something that goes far beyond "religious/secular" labeling. Something that must be simply understood in order to simply rightly divide & discern the subject is this: There is music that reflects & magnifies the purity; the holiness; the majesty; the grace; the wisdom & the knowledge; the goodness & the glory of God; and there is other music, on the other hand - that simply does not.

    People said the same things about Jesus that many of you are saying about us. We aren't trying to offend anyone, but neither was Jesus and a lot of religious people got angry. I know that it's different. But my generation needs different, and this kind of stuff will draw people to the Kingdom that tracts, hymns, and Casting Crowns aren't enough for. I am truly sorry for any offense, but I am more truly sorry that the message of God is rejected because of the format in which it is displayed. God is not threatened by these comments. And honestly, we aren't threatened either. We have worked hard and commited to the message that God gave us to share. How it is received is up to Him. Thank you all for watching.

    I tried to see the message from this....was the ending supposed to be a removal of the layer of rebellion and hypocrisy to start a new beginning? These are God's future and current warriors? Was the dance symbolic of the struggle? I have more questions than inspiration from this.

    This is too much like the world. We are called to be separate. Not to mimic worldly music that is inspired by satan. God absolutely will not accept this kind of worship. We are to worship him in spirit and in truth. God is holy and should be revered, not rapped. I am deeply disappointed by the American church. Ashamed is a much better word for it.

      30Rejoice This is not the Holy Spirit. God is holy. He will not allow this kind of music in heaven, nor does He receive it as worship. This is satan's music, the beat, the style, the black worldly dress is not His style. If you notice the scripture says, 1John 1:@1This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.
      @1If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth.
      @1But
      if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with
      one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all@1
      sin.
      Revelation 6:11-13(KJV)11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their
      fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they
      were, should be fulfilled.Revelation 7:
      Revelation 7:9-17New International Version (NIV)9 After
      this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one
      could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands.@2
      - Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what
      fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion
      hath light with darkness?I'm not saying wearing black will send you to hell, but I say copying the dress of the unrighteous sends a message of approval and compromise. The church in its early days taught holiness in behavior, dress and conduct. This is a mimicry of worldly rap. It feeds the flesh and not the right spirit in man. The focus should be Christ Jesus not copying the world in style of music (rap). There should be preaching of sin, holiness, the soon return of Jesus Christ and being ready for the rapture, not performances to appease the lust in teens and adults for worldly music. The words may be good, may be (I couldn't even understand everything they said). But the presentation is a mimicry of worldly rap. There should be repentance of sin and avoiding the VERY APPEARANCE of evil, not the approval of the APPEARANCE of evil.
      1 Thessalonians 5:22(KJV) 22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.John 4:21Jesus
      saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall
      neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. 22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. 23 But
      the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship
      the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to
      worship him. 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
      You have to ask yourself WHY DOES THE CHURCH WANT TO COPY THE WORLD? Revelation 3:
      @3“To the angel of the church in Laodicea write:These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God’s creation.
      @3I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other!
      @3So, because you are lukewarm-neither hot nor cold-I am about to spit you out of my mouth.
      @3You
      say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But
      you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and
      naked.
      @3I
      counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become
      rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful
      nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.
      @3Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent.
      @3Here
      I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens
      the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.
      If you notice, God's church wears white (represents righteousness), not black (that represents sin/darkness). I'm not saying people should wear only white, I'm saying this presentation of the gospel associated with wearing black like the world wears black in their musical presentations (and remember music is a form of worship to God AND satan alike) is a form of spiritual compromise with the world. This is spiritual warfare for the souls of all men and everything we do WHEN WE WORSHIP GOD should reflect GOD'S WORD not the WORLD. It should reflect the holiness of GOD, reverence GOD (not the world), it should reflect GOD and EVERYTHING HE stand for (not what the world stands for).
      These young people should be taught about sin according to the scripture, repentance of sin, salvation through Jesus Christ, TRUE worship of God that is reverential not copying the world music style (satan's style), study/hearing/application of the Word of God to show themselves approved by God's standards (not the world's), prayer and the power and application of prayer. It was a praying church that repented of its nations sin, its own sin that called down the holy presence of God:
      1 Peter 1:15-16King James Version (KJV) 15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; 16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.What is conversation? Anything that speaks out from you, from your life, your testimony to the world (spoken or unspoken). Here are some links to study what the word 'conversation' means as well as holiness. biblehub.com/commentaries/1_peter/1-15.htmbiblehub.com/philippians/1-27.htm
      I am not saying these young people don't love the Lord Jesus, but I am saying that flirting with the world in worship will not please God, nor will it have the Spirit of God in it. God Bless you also.

      QUOTE....although mentioned over 800 times in Scripture, music is never used for entertainment or for direct evangelism or for any end within itself. Music in the Bible is used primarily in praise and in worship, either to God (e.g., I Chron. 16:9,23; II Chron. 29:30; Psa. 9:11; 30:4; 33:2,3; 47:6; 135:3; etc.) or to Satan (e.g., Dan. 3:4,5,7, 10,15; Exo. 32:17,18). www.av1611.org/crock/crock1.html
