Thank you for the performance. I enjoyed that very much. I was in your concert in Kuala Lumpur many years ago....I think in the late 80's and gave you a standing ovation. You still play excellently. Thank you for the posting and hope you will put up more videos of your playing or teaching.
This sounds so good as a transcription! I did the transcription for Shostakovich's 2nd p. Concerto 2nd movement. Opens with nice orchestral tutti. And the key change half way through is of course the best bit in that incredible movement.
Thanks very much-glad you have enjoyed this. I have played the Shostakovich No.2 in the regular-good to know you did a transcription of the second movement.
@@RomanRudnytskylive no I didn't actually write it - I just meant I played the transcription (both the main part plus the parts that are transcribed for the second pianist to play as the orchestra).
Thanks. You WILL hear more. I already put on my solo transcription of the Grieg Concerto on this channel. That was my first one. Another one will come this coming week.
Quite a beautiful job, thanks! I wonder if you've tried reductions of much more modern music - since you mentioned Gershwin's Rhapsody. I've been looking for, and have been unable to find such an effort for Easedale's much underrated (IMHO) 17-min ballet piece which is the centerpiece of Pressberger & Powell's film THE RED SHOES. (Which about midway includes a massive 1-note crescendo via a theremin!) The piece has many lyrical passages & tempo variations. Quite the challenge, I think! Perhaps you might enjoy. Here's the full film excerpt on TH-cam, available also (w/out the unusual theremin) from an audio recording by the London Philharmonic: th-cam.com/video/ktv3-1JTspc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=UfkRuLCtHHUin5xB
Brilliant!!!! Thank you!!!
Truly lovely. Very enjoyable.
Thank You.
Thanks very much!
Bravo! Excellent. Thank you for sharing. You made my day.
Thanks for these nice words!!
this is quite like alkan's own transcription, though there are many noticeable (tasteful) differences which are apparent! Excellent job
👏👏 great job in putting it together.
I think he’s the only living musician to take such a challenge.
Thanks for your nice words here!

Excellent, I enjoyed that. I am a bit older than you and you have given me a kick to try something similar. ❤
Thanks. Glad to know I have inspired you!
Came in all ready to dislike but this is really very good. Would like to hear more.

Thanks for the comment. I will take a look and listen to this.
Really nice. Do take a moment to look through some of my own compositions and transcriptions. All bad.
@romanrudnytsky1691 just An die Musik and maybe a few others. Basic stuff. Thanks.
