Just a note. Before I attempt a start on an engine which hasn’t been run in a long time I prime the oil system before I turn it at all. I have an oil pump out of an old small block Chevy mounted in a 5 gallon pail. I run the pump with a drill and hook a hose up to an oil passage such as where oil pressure gauge is plumbed in and pressurize system so I know bearings aren’t dry. I have also made bronze faced bearings for situations like yours here if the crank is badly scored as bronze will take more hammering and abuse than babbit. Hope this works out, it should if it was mostly Babbitt stuck to crank.
I've been thinking about making a priming tool for a while now but just haven't got around to it. The journal actually cleaned up pretty good all things considered so I'm confident it will be OK
I just love all this work going on. No shed no cement floor. Lets get her going and put it to work. Great job.
I'm just making things work with what I've got
Great job, it will definitely run better if not 100%
Well that's what I'm hoping.
At the end of the day that engine won't do any real hard work so it doesn't need to be perfect
