This was incredible! "When you make judgements you limit possibility!"
Jabari Johnson so profound and so true! It's a great quotet
Kudos to Pharrell for putting on this interview. The last note where he acknowledges Koon's reactions to his compliments was itself an impressive act of humility which is unseen in most of his other videos. There's so much to learn from this video.
Why do I feel like Im watching Norman Bates?
The truly sad thing about Koons is that, as arguably the most famous currently living artist, you'd expect something profound to come from him, at least one great thought.... yet after numerous interviews and even a lecture I was in attendance to, I've never heard anything come out of his mouth that was anything more than bumper-sticker philosophy.
Jeff Koon seems like an amazing person
Fuckin lmao
Jeff Koons is a very inspirational person.
Mr. Koons' voice hypnotizes me and Mr. Williams' face hypnotizes me
The way he calmly says asshole is very soothing.
I can listen to this conversation all day!!!! Very interesting!
thank you so much for this interview, it gave me a lot!
the naked woman was RIDICULOUS!!! Not. cool.
I agree, very adolescent.
HUGE fan of Pharrell, but I would like to know why there aren't any female artists on this show... & if there were, would Pharrell still have a naked woman refill drinks? Or would there be a naked man? Just curious.
those are two really good questions
excellent point, very questionable interviews
Well, thats not how it works. Artists mos of the time mimic life. Historicly woman was a muse (also sexually) to develop aethetics. Artist bring this ideollogy, play with that and show it to your face. Maybe it is provocation, if u take it like that.
3:15 - “Art is about freedom and exercising your freedom …”
I love pharrell and this entire series, this koons upload is definitely one of my favourites for his fresh perspective. I do wish at times pharrell wasnt as knowledeable as he is in some of the topics, that way he would ask a lot more questions because half the time I don't know what the artists are talking about.
Pharell's Happy video brought me here. Glad I stopped by.
Just googled Pharrell Williams and turns out he was 40 at the time of this interview's upload...talk about aging like fine wine. Congrats to him for whatever he's doing. Also: .."we all have it." at 7:20. Great words.
both amazing inspiring individuals! pharrell's is a beauty here! I studied jeff's art a bit
*****'s sculpture/albumART by Jeff Koons is exceptional!
Ummm... so what was the purpose of the naked server?
Such an inspiring programme
this is such a good conversation!!
Amazing !!!
I want all these episodes on a DVD or something! These are great!!
I like that idea
pharrell krueger bringing dreamers to you in depth. i love these
I like how Jeff is trying hard not to be affected by the naked women but speaks less focused afterwards. I also like everything he said, he is such an inspiration. I think Pharrell was a little to tendentious in summarizing Jeff, i prefer more questioning. I think these artists are amazing and i enjoyed wacthing this but it felt a little forced.
really wise people, no trash, real deal on the table, respect in love.
good work
Cold calling Dali... awesome!
Hans Zimmer should do this. him and P are friends
Pharrell asks "what is your best work?" (Naked chick walks in) Koons: uhhhh family is important lmaoo
Jeff Koons is fucking great.
Dope Channel
17:01. Classic! Haha
Good interview. The nude server right after talking about nudity and the look on Jeffs face, LOL.
Ill b humble & admit that his intentions probably go above my head, his creativity is above my ‘pay grade’.....but at the same time, I cant help the feeling every time I hear Jeff Koons speak, he sound extremely insincere.....not real at heart, just very good with the explanation of modern art. So experienced in this world (of modern art) he is an ocean of smooth one-liners so to speak. Is it just me? Also, no one has so many ‘good’ ideas they need a crew of interns or employees to execute those projects. How can u have passion without process?? I would much rather see him make less art that he creates hands on, even if he needs assistance....but assisting his own work. Who am I?? Lol
Just my opinion & he seems to b doing just fine without it. Lol ✌🏻
I believe he is a capitalist, but he is also an artist. He is taking advantage of a system, and that great for him, since the system take advantage of us 99.99% of the time. Ideas are everywhere, he just have the financial means and the drive to make them physical, and transform them into his art. I'm not a fan of his work, and I don't buy it. But, he definitely has like 5-10% of interesting works going on, which is worth seeing
The naked server made me very uncomfortable, couldn't even finish watching the video
Jennifer prude
Hahahh! I know. What was pharell thinking?
Shes in other episodes as well.....or maybe a different person, but same, a nude female with a very specific body shape. Yeah hes not simply representing the figure in art or he would not limit these models to a single gender & body. The fact he does is what sexualizes the experience. Seems like a cheap stunt. But most of Jeff Koons’s art, including his typical happy hour of modern art explanations, come across as cheap gimmicks....to me. Just my opinion & lets face it, he has found great success, so who am i??
I'd like to enroll in his class :)
I love when the naked woman comes into the room to distract the guest. If your solid in your game it totally shows at that moment. Who came up with that little treat I would like to know?
16:46 my glass is half empty, would u mind? ;)
1:32 is it just me or does Jeff look like Shepard Fairey from the side?
All you people are hating for no reason. Respect the art and the conversation for what it is not what you want it to be
PS. CAN WE HAVE NAKED GUYS SERVING WATER AS WELL PLS 😉👍
which spell he used to stay young ? can't believe he's over 40 years old
Jeff is very funny in a certain way.
+sid minor In a creepy Mr. Rodgers neighborhood kind of way.,,
I could write a whole feminist dissertation based on this video alone.
wow
Jeff Koons is a robot.
beep beep boob
what?
Hey Pharrell... Think about Joana Vasconcelos shes a portuguese artist... crazy man you must see it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
😊😊😊😊
pls tellthem mr Jeff koons discuss my job
i have never heard of Pharrell Williams before seeing this.
seems okay, nice guy, a bit awkward at times i think, he is quite young... the nude woman server was odd.
woah
He's Pam Grier's son.
and a singer too i now know
tubeberk08 He's over the age of 40, the guy just looks young.
Interesting conversation on art but what's up with the objectification of women here. Even Koons who was married to an Italian porn star looked embarrassed!
St8board P and Yeezus next please
Do women have to be naked to get onto Pharrells artist talk show? 0% of the artists are women, but 100% of the naked servants are female
Not true. Artists most of the time mimic life. They show u what system u are living in and, why not provoke.
Not, “my hero.” Out of all the people I really assumed Pharrell was intelligent 😅 what an imposter
Inate talent
Interesting commentary from the judgmental to the ridiculous on listening to artists discussion art. Small minds do think alike, but Pharrell plays you like a Stradivarius..
These would be way cooler if there was a good music supervisor and instead of sitting there was walking. I also think the water thing is corny, but I get it. Overall the series is cool but its just not interesting past the interviewer and interviewee. Just my suggestions to make the series more attractive.

So disappointed of Pharrell a naked woman as a slave? as an object? The End
14.45
20:50... That's how it is.

19:20 i wonder whether he would be willing to take that breath outside the gates of Fukushima. Smug dogmatist, spouting the Company line while documenting who is boarding the boxcars (his work).
One of the most IRRELEVANT artists (to our survival) in all of history
Pharrell literally way out of his league here!!
He should stop with the balloon animals and do asmr 😊
Poor koons, he knows he’s dealing with a lightweight and he’s struggling to conceal his contempt. I like Pharrell but he’s really out of his depth here. This is one of those interviews that sounds great on paper but is totally cringe in execution
thank you
Why does the camera move like that? The image looks bad as well: colours are off, too bright, too sharp, unreal. Oh, and the interviewer is boring and a sycophant.
Why the naked woman at the end? Pharrel looked like a star struck teenager nodding in agreement to every bit of dribble. Poor interview. I wonder if the lack of any good questions was due to clueless delusion. About as deep as toilet bowl.
Can't bear the idea of a naked woman walked in while Jeff Koons is talking about Made in Heaven. This is inappropriate and ridiculous.
What an awful moment When the woman apear, why ?
I don't blame Koons. I blame the corruption of the art market, which inflates even the most trivial crap into a "masterpiece" worth millions.
Why the naked waitress? Is he trying to say something? Makes this show so much worse.
pharrell is dressed like a women
My view of both these men just tanked drastically. What's with the blatantly misogynistic waitress?
uzenzo2 it was to trigger clowns like you. Success!
Thought this would be really interesting, but the idea that both of these artists are overtly superficial was proved by the drinks refill moment. FAIL.
JudyFightsBack glad you were triggered
nr 1 bullshit "artist"
really bad taste adding the naked female 'server' these interviews....very offensive!! the only thing I liked about this was hearing Koon's talk about his philosophy and art
Lol it s not that serious!
