  • Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid is a book written by 39th President of the United States Jimmy Carter. It was published in November 2006.
Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid by Jimmy Carter is a critical examination of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, focusing on the challenges to achieving peace in the region. Carter argues that Israel's policies toward Palestinians, particularly in the occupied territories, amount to an apartheid system-characterized by segregation, discrimination, and violations of human rights. He contends that peace can only be achieved through a two-state solution, where Israel and a future Palestinian state coexist with mutual recognition and security. Throughout the book, Carter emphasizes the importance of international pressure on Israel to end its occupation and allow for the establishment of a Palestinian state. He also addresses the roles of the United States and other global powers in influencing the situation, calling for a fairer approach to resolving the conflict.

Great audiobook. I was looking to hear more of Jimmy Carter's opinions on world politics. Also, thanks for putting the words up on the screen; it makes it so much easier to follow along.
