My DIY Photo Booth shell.

  • I made this shell to use for a digital photo booth that runs on an iPad using the Luma booth Photo Booth app. It was very easy to make and didn’t cost a lot of money. I built it on a Friday and was using it the next day. It has already generated repeat business, and paid for itself. The materials to make this were purchased at Home Depot and cost less than $125. The body is made of PVC piping and adapters, along with a couple of pieces of plywood. The ring light was purchased from Walmart and it cost $15. I am using an iPad Air fourth generation for 2020 but you can fit just about any iPad in this ring light.

    LOGIC! THANK YOU My wife and daughter bought this light 6 months ago, but I never thought of utilizing it this way. That technological mind of yours coupled with your artistic ability, the mindset to create your own photo booth with out spending $$$ and have a dope looking dj presentation is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. Thank you and of course we want 1. God Bless💪🏿👊🏿🙏🏿

    Outstanding Video, I am making mines now. I purchased a 3" pipe and the tri-pod would not fit so I am going to get a 4" pipe. Is that what you used?

    • @logisticalstyles
      @logisticalstyles  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Try the 4" pipe. I think I used a different stand for the one I use in the video which is why it fit so snuggly in my 3" pipe. I've made a few more of these and have had to make some adjustments since the stand wasn't fitting. I've removed the center pole of the stand and extended it to fit the opening. I'm going to do an update video to show what changes I've made to the process.

    Thank you for sharing! I’m excited to get one going. What thickness is the round wood for the iPad/ring light? I’m feeling like the 1 inch is too heavy. Thank you for the awesome video!

    • @logisticalstyles
      @logisticalstyles  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      One inch is definitely too heavy. I’ve used 1/8 and 1/4 inch plywood. The 1/8” was good enough. I’m still looking for some other options for the back plate though.

    • @celestevarnado206
      @celestevarnado206 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@logisticalstyles ok great! I’m going to try it with 1/4. Thanks for all your great tips! I’m a photographer and looking to add my iPad with luma booth but all the options online were way too pricey!

    • @celestevarnado206
      @celestevarnado206 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@logisticalstyles Do you feel like it is sturdy enough? My head unit has some give in it but it does feel mostly stable. I ended up using 1/8 wood.

    • @logisticalstyles
      @logisticalstyles  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not yet. All of my events so far have been in well lit places. The color lights are more for attention getting. This is why I prefer the 18” light because when you switch to White, it gets really bright.
