Was fortune enough to see him live back in 2013 at the Camden waterfront. Rained halfway through the show, caused some technical difficulty and couldn't get music to load. So Mac freestyled and did crowd control for like 10 minutes, was easily some of best crowd control I've ever seen there was roughly 20-30k at that show so to hold that down like that without any background or special effects was just a testament to how skilled of an artist he was

2009-2015 were the best years of my social life. Not only having the best of times with friends, but the music that followed me along the way of those good times. Mac, Wiz & Wayne were on constant replay back then. Anytime I hear Mac’s Best Day Ever mixtape or Wiz’s Kush & OJ or Taylor Allderdice, it instantly takes me back. RIP Mac.

I named my son after you, Malcolm. Would love to be able to sit with you and thank you for how much of a positive influence you were on me growing up. Always felt like an older brother and a best friend, even though I never got to personally meet you. I would stay up way too late on high school nights watching all of your interviews, the fun is 4 everyone series, listening to your music talking to girls on MSN when I should’ve been sleeping. I was in Germany when I found out Mac died, the same day my friend tried to throw herself off a cliff, was talked down by emergency services but slipped on rocks and fell to her death. I will never forget that night in my hotel room, I balled my eyes out for the both of them, I don’t think I’ve ever felt that amount of pain before. RIP Kat & Mac.
