01 519 der EFZ am 17 12 2022 mit dem Weihnachtsmarktexpress

Es war bitter kalt (-10 bis -14°C), als die Eisenbahnfreunde Zollernbahn ihre Fahrt zum Konstanzer Weihnachtsmarkt wiederholten. Bei meist blauem Himmel und verschneiter Landschaft ergaben sich prächtige Motive.

I've noticed this on other channels - why do German steam drivers always leave the cylinder drain cocks open? Surely they should only be used to clear condensation when starting? It appears to be a massive waste of steam that should be powering the piston.
