Glucose is filtered freely through glomerulus but reabsorbed in PCT. Fanconi syndrome is the inability of PCT cells to absorb solutes.

So what do drugs like invokana and jardiance do to glucose in nephron?
Agtsmirnoff invokana inhibits the SGL2 transporter thus glucose is not absorbed. Thus you pass it in the urine.

Bacteria loves sugar, and preferably no ketones as you are just increasing your chances in getting an infection

I was just wondering what happened from the time you said 180 micro grams per deciliter, to 10 seconds later, when you said 180 milligrams per deciliter? Do you realise you done that? Obviously very different measurement no!

Yet most of our urine kits is designed to discover the acetoacetate and neglect the beta hydroxybutarate which is why we might have a DKA or alcholic KA pts. negative for keton
