Hello, thanks for the informative video. I'd like to make two minor corrections. The first one is about "electronic disk". A disk is a round shaped device like CDs, DVDs or plates inside hard disks (Actually some people make a distinction between a disc and a disk). Electronic storage devices can be referred as "electronic drive" since there are no spinning discs in them. The second correction is about the "cost per bit increases" part. Actually the cost per bit decreases as you go down the pyramid. For instance, the cost per bit for registers is very high whereas it's very low for magnetic tapes.
Cost not mean only it's price . Also time is cost. Time increases cost increases. Price is not much important than time . If access time is increased your computer is slow.
Finally, after attending this lecture I've understood clearly the difference between temporary and permanent memory. The tutorial explains the hierarchy and trend of memories starting from registers, cache, RAM and moving towards permanent memories. Temporary memory devices are smaller yet expensive than permanent memories.

Another example using the library Imagine the library of babel and you have read the book and then explain what you've read So Books are permanent memory, your brain is RAM and you explaining is executing or passing on information. There is only so much you can remember. Now imagine a similar scenario but you got a friend. Both of you read books and both of you talk about it, it's therefore it's faster

"The computer is faster with large ram" is in case you have multiple processes running at the same time, suppose there is only 1 process running, in this case there is no difference between a 16gb or 64gb ram right?
Yes, But what if that one process is bigger than your mm? (Just a hypothetical example) , for every reference, you have to load a page from secondary memory because of a page fault. Here if you have a bigger ram then that time can be saved right. :}
ROM is part of the main memory but it is Non Volatile because it doesn't loss their content in order to load OS. this is what I understand. Am I correct ?
I want to ask about books that can also explain about computer , like it is very smart to think about a computer and inventing it and all these stuffs , can any body name some books that talk about computers history and how scientists invite it and think about it and how they also developed it .. ?
You mentioned RAM helps to run programs faster bcz more RAM means more running time memory space. What about a single program like a video game? Does more RAM space mean a large program like a game would run faster?

For suppose if we are doing some work in paint..it is stored in ram whatever we do in paint until we save it.The unsaved work will be gone when the system is powered off.That means the content is stored in RAM.After we save the paint file it will go to rom (permanent memory),as we can have it after power off the system.Is it CRT sir..
Take the example of paint application bro.. In our childhood ,we would be aware of that we have to save our work cause it is stored in primary memory until u save it in permanent memory . ultimately the work u usually do in any app generates som data which will be handled by ram.it is not so imp for us so it will be gone after system power off.u may see in mobiles like clear cache . Right .it is the junk generated by the apps using by us..

When u go down, cost per bit DECREASES. A 1 TB hard disk (magnetic disc) is cheaper than 16 GB ram (primary memory).
1000GB==1TB
