For me is cleaning a carburetor the easiest job to do when I service my outboard, i am 14 years old and I learned from you guys and i want to thank you for that!

Ah the little motor that could. These small motors seem so much easier to mess with. Thou the carbs always gave me fits. Seems like I most always would miss something. Thanks Arron enjoy that boat, looks fun. Stay safe out there! 😎👍🌴

It's a pleasure watching you work! I am not a gear head, so I enjoy those who are mechanically accomplished!

This is my everyday life; Little motors. Powertune, ring-free, and seafoam are all the same stuff, so buy which ever one is cheapest for you. 😉 Those little auto start valves are really strange. According to yamaha, they have a wax inside them that slowly melts when voltage applied, which allows it to slowly move somehow. I dunno, I've never cut one open.

I have a Yamaha 25 2 stroke and synced the carbs up earlier this year and man, what a difference it made!

Any carb that needs cleaning get "ultra-sonic cleaning"! That's how I fly.

Also the California brass plug that you have to drill out sometimes to get to the flat head scrw sometimes that gets all clogged up in there.

Now install a water separating fuel filter to protect all that work!

Our motor would be extremely hard to start, shut off when we gave it gas like that 40 horse Yamaha, there was gas leaking everywhere, and it would constantly foul plugs so badly we had to replace them. We rebuilt the carburetors and it fixed all of those problems. It was very easy to do too. Carburetors are not that complicated.

Would love to see a video on fuel tank anti-siphon valve and why it's so hard to get gasoline out of a boats tank. After Ida we had really bad gas shortages and with 175 gallons in my Contender I was looking for a way to get some gas out of it easily. Alas, that didn't happen.

Can you do a guide on how to adjust the mixture screws on the carbs after a rebuild?

  • @2wayzplayz179

Wow I did not see that merch plug coming that was a silky smooth transition. Couldn’t have been better.

Another great instructorial video! Thank you ❤️ didn't see you place a scree driver to any screws, what screw would I be adjusting to get the carbs in sync? Must be more than the idol screw s?
