Not only is this game very fun to play multiplayer, it is also very fun to watch.
Via Netplay, the game can be played online with a controller on the computer via a special Dolphin Emulator build optimized for Kirby Air Ride Online. It is much like on the GameCube. Matches are played in the Kirby Air Ride Netplay Discord community.
Players had their own fullscreen when they were playing, and weren't able to see their opponents screen.
Matches are played on the Hackpack of UnclePunch, to enhance the competitiveness with extra settings, more Kirby colors and QoL features. For example, rear view is added when pressing the X button. And the Item Frequency has been set to High, suiting the modern competitive Kirby Air Ride ruleset. Also certain Stadiums and Events were disabled, like Vs King Dedede.
Apart from that, things are basically the same as vanilla Kirby Air Ride.

very good upload! the only annoying thing is who ever is spamming the soundboard thing. its incredibly distracting and doesnt really add anything. other than that, amazing skilled players and gameplay. commentary is good too

13:50 I feel like this makes a lot of sense though. Considering both came out on the gamecube, and kar came out a few years into melee's life, a lot of melee players probably spent a lot of time playing air ride.
