As a young Navy Seabee I was stationed at GTMO in 1980-1982. This video brought back some great memories of scuba diving there. More than a few beach parties at Windmill Beach.

I don’t pray much but when I do I always say a little special bit asking for those away from their family to feel a warm sense of comfort when they lay down to sleep. I hope the homesickness stays at bay. Keep the videos up good sir.

Until they get on a boat lol I run one up in New Orleans area and I have done the 14-7 and absolutely the worst is being away from family!, but now I’m at a go home every night gig lol but wouldn’t trade my last 30 years for anything this industry has provided a very good life for. Hammerhead are know maneater ( despite "experts" who claim attacks are accidental ). These were the young, adults are Huge. But B-B-Q'd with slushi Red Stripe beer, not much better . . .

Awesome vid, the boat life is not what the camera shows. It's tough being a hand and even tougher being a capt, bad weather or good weather you are out there with nowhere to go other than where you are supposed to end up at. Though the views are better than any corner office desk job, there is a shelf life to those who ride the big water, it ain't no pleasure cruise like you said. Great vid, reef dive was amazing and fish looked great. Keep up the good work and keep firing um up cap.

The meal of BBQ fish, beans & rice looks very, very good. Perhaps you have 'another calling', beyond being a mariner on a tug!
A tip when stirring the chopped garlic, onions, greens & black beans - use a wood spoon, as this will prevent scratching of the pot surface (as opposed to a metal spoon...).
Another fast & easy meal to try: chicken parmesan.
I am a retired mate that worked the (Canadian) side of the Great Lakes, the East Coast, high (eastern) Arctic, South America, GOM, northern Europe. Still miss it. Work safe & stay safe...

Your video brought back memories. I was a Certified Merchant Seaman out of New Orleans, LA. I started with Herbert ( Cajun is pronounced..." A bear ) Shipping. They had multiple types of vessels. I was on a sea going tug when a storm hit. We were on toe with a jacket for a drilling platform. The waves were forcing us backwards. We heard on the radio that a new Aqua Marine supply ship broke in half. When a wave came between us and a ship near by you could see them. Hurricane / tropical storm is no joke. Some viewer's don't know what a wire is...cable. They don't realize it cut a man in half when it swings across the bull-works & pin them. I'm sure you have some stories to tell 😮

Good stuff, Great Video! Brought back many memories... I'm retired now, but looking back, that's one of my favorite sized tugs to operate. 120 feet, a pair of 12 cylinder EMD's, she's a little "mature", but she'll complete most tasks with comfort and character! Seemed like there was still plenty of life left on the reef, lots of fan corals I noticed... Bet there is more color out a little further. But I'm jealous nonetheless. Surprised with the water temperatures that we have been having lately that there is any life left at all... Looking forward to more of your underway stuff.

The tugboat series has been my favorite content, it's a mix of work, life on the boat , cooking, scenery and just a little of everything in equal amounts! But definitely love the cooking! Snorkeling was excellent too! That part about being gone from the wife and kid's, I felt that. Maybe you could get into roof adjusting and be home more regular 🤷 they allow drone's to get the damage pictures now. Florida has constant insurance claims!

I ALWAYS loved being on the wire. I worked a 220' AHTS supply vessel. Made 4 tows from Santa Barbara, Ca to above the pribiloff Islands, Northern Bering Sea. Loved tug life. So very few, have what it takes, to be a Mariner. I went to sea, right out of high school, on Crewboats.

@@TugTrashOutdoors i watched you vid of the crossing to Gitmo and spearfishing. Ifell in love. NOT IN A BUD LIGHT sort of way🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 as a TUG LOVIN Mariner. What are your tug specs. Loa and beam? She's a gorgeous tug. And you're so true. Few people realize, just how life truly is on a vessel. Wanna break a cherry. Watch em with a needle gun. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 those two words still make my hand vibrate.

Super impressive reef there. I also like seeing some of the workings on the tug. Are the hauls to Gitmo just supplying our base there? Can you grab me some cohibas??? Joking only, I don’t smoke.
