Great video-as always. We keep worrying about inflation during travel, but then get sticker shock while back in NYC and realize inflation is also something we would endure if we stayed home. So Chile here we go! On a separate note, today October 1 is our one year anniversary of starting slow travel. It has been a phenomenal time starting in Eastern Europe and now in Patagonia Chile. I want to thank Brian and Carrie. We watched your videos for a year before embarking on our journey. Not only did we glean valuable information, but very importantly, the joy and confidence that you convey while traveling really helped us get over any jitters over packing lightly and living a new lifestyle as a global citizen. Thanks so much! I love my life.
Great info as always :-) a little surprised though to not see you mention the timing of travel. Avoiding peak season travel in key locations is a time-tested way to reduce cost. Not suggesting someone endure the monsoon season in southeast asia to reduce costs, but with a little planning can find those times that are much cheaper before or after the peak season travel. ❤ the channel, and continued happy travels to you both!!
That's a great point. We have mentioned this in the past but missed it in this one. We sometimes forget that not everyone travels slowly most of the year, as we do. Thanks again for adding to the channel! 😊
As a slow traveler I’m definitely picking my places to visit that I get more value for the Dollar. Some places I might want to go but they just don’t provide the value to me. Sightseeing is low on my things to do in my slow travel. I prefer to stay as long as my visa on arrival is good for. I don’t care to pay or jump through hoops to do visa extensions.
Medellin, Columbia was a pleasant surprise! Much cheaper than Panama where we reside half of the year. One example, 2 margaritas, 1 beer, and a bottle of water was $8.14. It's so beautiful and green and about a million places to dine out.
I spent 2 months traveling in Europe in 2019 prepandemic and 6 weeks this summer. Prices have easily gone up 50%, maybe more in 5 years. It definitely changes your travel options. Here are some strategies that I use that weren’t mentioned in the video. One, I only eat twice a day and try to get a nice big breakfast included with the hotel or B&B. Two, I use credit card points and try to be strategic with my cards to maximize their value. Three, I use public transport and avoid renting a car which can be a budget buster.
I laughed when you mentioned Moose Jaw. I’m from Regina, a neighbouring city. Moose Jaw is a quaint little city with lots to see and do. There is a thermal spa in the city with hotel which a draw but not cheap. Just fun to say you’ve been to Moose Jaw!!
We intentionally booked outside of the city center to keep costs down and to have a quieter place to sleep in. We ensure that we know what the transportation options are ahead of booking there. We never rent car's, we do public transportation, so we stay in places with busses, trains, subways etc. We stay in most areas for a month also to keep costs down.
We just got back from the northeast of Brazil (João Pessoa). Great city, Very Very affordable. We love it. Don't let the mídia scare you about Brazil. Safe travels. Enjoy your channel.
Thats a great idea! Unfortunately, we don't have a home. But, if we did it would be something that we would consider. Thank you for adding the idea to the conversation!! 😊
I like the new three months away and then home idea. You are right about prices going up. Even here in Spain, they went up but now seem to be stable. The problem is that once they go up, they don't come down. As for airfares, my Ryanair flights are double what I paid after COVID. So far, I am enjoying the Mexico videos and looking forward to your take on Mexico City. I enjoyed it immensely in 1986, but I am sure it is much changed.
My wife is from Bangkok. We try to go there once a year. I haven't noticed the price on lodging going up, especially in Bangkok where we stay. But it is not a tourist place either. Now airfare has jumped a lot. But instead of traveling from the west coast we are now living and traveling from the middle of the US. Just booked around trip tickets for 1300 a piece.
I thought the exchange between the two of you on this video was especially pleasant and balanced. Good job Brian on stepping back a little. Not sure if that was intentional. It certainly was noticeable. Both of your observations are always so on point. I love the thoughtfulness of your videos.
We love to walk! All those tuk tuk's and horse rides etc. are fun...but you can discover so much more just clocking the miles with your feet! Thats if you are able hopefully! Great tips guys! We love your financial prudence.
I have definitely noticed accommodation prices gone up a lot in the last 3 years. Having said that, I still travel and am currently in Alicante and went to the Red Corner Bar and had a pint for you!
Aww...Yes!! The Red Corner Bar!! We loved that place. We hope to get back to Alicante soon, still one of our top spots. Thank you for watching Bruce and safe travels!
Hi guys, great video, thank you. Have looked at the numbers for 2022 ($29,728) & 2023 ($33,968) and it was a 14% increase between the two. Was that any particular reason, or did you include costs in one year that were not included in the next year? Looking forward to your 2024 video, although we haven't finished 2024 yet so is your year Oct to Sept, and do 2022 & 2023 follow the same path? Thank you both, cheers :)
The 14% is due to moving faster for a couple of months and we also spent 2 months in Italy. On top of that, inflation! 😁 We will be adding up our costs for 2024 and have that video out at year's end. 😊
We agree with Brian, it can often be more expensive to make a meal than buy one, especially if you are in a low price area. We travel 6 months and go home for 6 months each year. We never include the cost of food in our budget for 2 reasons. Firstly, you have to eat anyway where ever you are and secondly, because we are from the UK there are very few places where food is actually going to cost more than at home. Great video.
Very true!! We eat at "home" when we are back in the States. A couple can't eat out for less than USD 50.00. That's a week of groceries in some places!! 😁
Thankful that our pensions and Social Security are COLA-adjusted. Makes inflation, especially abroad, not a huge issue for us. Traveling abroad while retired can still much cheaper than living in the States. I think the key is having a budget that is well below your means so that inflation doesn’t disrupt you plans.
Probably not saying something you don’t already know, but if you’re flying back to the states from Mexico you can save money by flying to Tijuana airport and crossing into San Diego straight from the airport. Regional flights within Mexico are usually cheaper. Once you get to the border take an uber to the San Ysidro trolley then a quick ride to the Middletown station. From there it’s a quick shuttle to the airport. Once there Alaska air can be a good value.
We have really noticed how much more expensive travel/accommodation is etc id say 35% since 2020. We’ve tried house sitting but it only works if it’s not with dogs as they’re hard work. Also insurance has increased a lot. SE Asia is much cheaper than going to USA so we’ve pivoted towards that area instead. We’re based in the UK. I wonder if you’re also seeing prices rise due to the weaker dollar maybe? It’s certainly very different to 4 years ago.
@@BrianandCarrie the biggest problem we have found is not being able to leave dogs for more than 4-5 hours so day trips are more limited. I’ve found horses/cats etc make life a lot easier for us anyway 😅 also there’s often a lot of cleaning involved… as we have higher standards of living than many home owners provide.
@@BrianandCarrie oh I don’t mean like a vacation at all, we’re retired and we go out a lot during the day for lunch, for walking, and other cultural hobbies. It just doesn’t fit with dog ‘work’ which felt too much like a job to us. So cats/horses is a far better fit for us.
Having budget travelled in my 20’s , the one thing I will not do now is miss things I want to see or do. I will cut back on food and accomodation but will do the balloon ride over Cappadocia.
Great to hear how you've adjusted to inflation. There are always ways to modify your travels to accommodate the increase in costs, but still have an enjoyable time. Balancing out more expensive places with more cost-affordable places during the year always helps. I'm glad you mentioned how slowing down your travel is an effective way to reduce costs. I think a lot of people don't realize that because they just think about how much a short vacation costs and then extrapolate it to a longer trip, and it doesn't work that way at all. Great you are using the buses in Mexico. They actually have a very good bus network and the buses themselves are quite comfortable. Cheers!
Canada has plenty for you to offer! You can certainly be in Moose Jaw Saskatchewan for a deeper discount. Hope that you like junior hockey! Banff would not save you any money as it is a tourist mecca in Western Canada. But certainly Canada has a lot to see, and do, both touristy and not. The currency exchange for you from US to Canada will be in your favour to be sure (by close to 40%). Your transportation costs will be substantially less from Washington. Inflation of course is a big factor and you bring forth some good ideas on combatting the effects. Great suggestions. Continue enjoying Mexico and the tacos!
It wouldn't be a way to save money besides travel costs, but it would be a fun trip. We are still undecided but know that it is an option for the near future. As always, thank you for commenting, Robert!
We are currently on a month long housesit in Ontario, where our kids live. We return for the summer months and then head to our condo in Bucerias, Mexico for the winter. We have a campervan, we housesit, (London at Christmas!) and we visit my brother on Vancouver Island (bonus!). Sometimes we stay in very nice hotels - mainly in cities as our latest video shows:) Love your videos - hope we run into you guys sometime:)
Love your videos and you convinced us to go to Thailand this past Feb. and we are going back this Feb. You have also convinced us to try Turkey. Funny you mention Moose Jaw, we live in Regina which is 40 minutes away. Do not visit in the winter though - summer is lovely. Highly recommend Calgary, Banff, Jasper area once it recovers from fires.
We would definitely visit late spring or early summer! Our region of the world is beautiful, but the winters are dark and dreary. Something we try to avoid as much as we can!! 😊 Thank you for watching!! 😁
Enjoyed your video and commentary. We spent 2 years in Mexico 2022-2024. Every time we went to the grocery store prices would go up little by little. Traveling southern Europe we've seen it also. We spent August in Istanbul. You're right on with the inflation there. I think it's gone up about 70% this last year. The days of Turkey being dirt cheap are long gone. Still a great value for the cultural experience. We actually changed are September plans to Saranda over the Turkish coast because of inflation and the new short term rental law.
The short-term rental law in Türkiye will be a big deterrent for many travelers. It is an amazing country, but Saranda is beautiful as well. Safe travels!!
I completely feel your pain, we were in Mexico in winter of 2022 when the value of the peso spiked versus the US and Canadian dollars and it almost tripled our budget by the end of the winter! The cost of living increases have definitely changed the way we travel now, last year we mainly stayed with friends all over Canada and the US, and this winter we are working in the Philippines and doing a bit if traveling around South East Asia/Australia/New Zealand from there. Luckily we have friends in a few of those places we can stay with or even some of that would be off the table!
It is nice to have friends in places you travel to. We are looking at doing some extra house sitting in 2025 to make up for anticipated costs. Thank you, Valarie for watching!! Safe travels!
We have noticed the grocery prices in Romania have definitely gone up. My MIL is on a fixed budget (300 Euros per month) from my FIL's pension (she still gets a small pension after he passed). She also gets assistance from the government to purchase meat. It is barely enough for her to live on now so we send her money every month.
We have heard that prices went up in Croatia after entering the Schengen last year. We are not sure that is true, but you have to wonder if the same is happening in Romania?
@@BrianandCarrie I would venture a guess and say yes, same with Romania. So much needs to be done yet to switch from the RON/Lei to the Euro. The EU is investing about 80 billion a year into Romania to get it ready. Interestingly, Romania's GDP is 4x other EU nations since joining the EU.
I’ve noticed that it is hard to find great airfare deals. Usually I’ve been able to find airfare to Spain or Portugal in the summer for $800. My wife and I are headed to Buenos Aires next month. From what I can tell, it looks like the exchange rate hasn’t changed too much. We are planning on using Western Union, to get the better exchange rate. Have you checked into that? Safe travels! We always enjoy your vlogs.
Air far is always the biggest challenge. We are looking at airfare for January to Buenos Aires as well. We use Charles Schwab for our overseas banking. We get a good exchange rate and free ATM withdrawals worldwide. Thank you for watching and safe travels to you as well.
@@BrianandCarrie Normally I use my Schwab account too. But to get the best rate in Argentina, Western Union is advised. I just checked today’s rate and it’s $1=1241.85 I heard it’s easier to get closer to the Blue rate at Western Union, instead of going to the private money changers. lol, I guess I will know for sure next month. It’s our first time going to Argentina. We’ve done a little research. We will most likely be spending 10 days in Buenos Aires.
Purchasing a property in Portugal was something I considered to do when I retire, but I can’t do now since cost of apartments went a lot since 2018. Then I started watching slow travel like yours almost from the beginning. At that time, I was thinking that I learned something different way of retiring and travel. Not only that slow travel is more affordable, there’s also the flexibility of moving around more without paying for two accommodations and visiting other parts of the world. Now, not only I’m saving less for retirement due to inflation, like you said the cost of travel has gone up a lot. Hopefully by the time I retire, things will be more settled and I can see the world somehow.
Portugal has become difficult the last year. The government has made some changes in policy. You can still obtain an extended visa rather easily if you wish to stay longer than 90 days.
Hi B n C. this was informative, thanks for the inputs. Was checking out Portugal n Spain for 2025, decent accommodations are pretty high, hence having second thoughts about destination now.
Regarding budget, how about Tenerife or any of the Canarias islands for Spain ? Or Sardinia island for Italy or south Italy or Imperia in north Italy? Or maybe the north of Portugal ? Or Malta ?
I found that accommodation prices shot up over a few months and by a lot ! As a single traveller I have not been able or willing to pay what I sometimes feel are over inflated prices . So here I am stuck in the UK for winter 😏. Will spend my time here saving and planning “ affordable “ trips for next year . 👜 🚌 ✈️ xx
@@BrianandCarrie yes, I am going to look into house sitting . I cannot look after dogs though because I am terrified of them after being bitten by one in Greece many years ago 😏..
Wow, you must be exhausted today! You are already in Mexico City... so quick! We owned a house in centro in Merida for 7.5 yrs, so will be curious to see if you hit the Yucatan as well. Safe Travels! P.s. loved the cricket tasting Brian and that brown, unidentifiable drink?? Carrie. You both have courage!
Inflation hit everywhere but I've been able to lower my living costs in the US so much that it rivals Southeast Asia or Eastern Europe. If my goal were to experience a better quality of life, it would make sense to travel outside the US. But if my goal is to save money, I might as well stay where I am. I've been to 40 countries since 1990 so there aren't many places I want to go anymore. It was fun while it lasted.
Living in Canada 😊 it is a great country… that said Mexico one of my favorite countries and for sure my favorite is ZIHUATANEJO, best local markets, food street , quiet , beautiful beach, you can walk all over, no need for taxis, great food store a real typical mexicain city,,,,,, and a beautiful boardwalk,,,, hope you get the chance to visit it.
We are in Tunisia right now and it is quite affordable. However, it is a little rough for an independent traveler (we are on a tour), possibly. A beer (Beck’s) is 8 Tunisian dinars, about $2.50.
I appreciate your videos, especially the ones about budgeting. I’m pretty good about hearing music and I’m afraid with this video I don’t hear a thing. You guys will need to increase your incomes. There is No way around it,I hope you can keep this lifestyle. Good luck to you both.
You could easily adjust I'f did decide to go to se Asia and go for 5 month and change it up a bit, bellingham is nice from April to Oct as u know so there's flexibility there and living costs haven't changed a great deal in say thailand from year over year so really the only major cost is that flight and Phillipines air flies direct now seattle to manila.. Carry on..
We spent 5 months in SE Asia last year but didn't get to the Philippines, Loas or Cambodia. We will be going back most likely early 2026. Thank you for watching!! 😊
Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada: I think my dad took me to the zoo there when I was a kid. I seem to recall something about a peacock. Don't know if the zoo is still there. Probably the peacock died by now... Those are all my reasons for you to put MJ on your bucket list:)
Good informative video. Thank you. I think there was not a real increase in Air travel going to Thailand. I got a return ticket for my wife and I for $2340 ($1170/person) from Detroit to Bangkok. Travel time is 10th of November returning on 26th December via Turkish Airline! I think this is a real bargain! Not sure if the fare was cheaper before
Gen X like me are either slowing down or retiring, hence travelling. New generations have zero confidence in the future and are also travelling more. Solutions; 1. Stay invested. The stock market should continue following inflation higher (higher profits), although recession usually a risk (and then lower prices…). 2. Visit 2nd cities. Lyon instead of Paris. Bragga instead of Lisbon. Etc. 3. You’re lucky you already visit the most popular cities and countries. Maybe now is time to visit the less beaten path, like Africa? 4. Slow travel… very slow 😅 5. Volunteering and woofing expériences?
I'm from Calgary...Banff is super touristy and super expensive!! 😬 Your US $ will help, but be prepared. We used to be able to have nice weekend getaways there in the off season for reasonable $$...not anymore 😢
The thing about inflation is that is generally happening everywhere in the world. So say when I compare thailand to australia (home) both have had high inflation but the ratio of costs stays similar. Just wondering what resource you use to compare living costs between countries (you mentined a figure of 51% cheaper).
Do you have a new home base in the US now that you are going home every 3-4 months? We are starting next March and like to keep a home base in the US. Any tips on that?
Gosh what you say is so try, you just have to adjust. We were looking at Bodrum because it looks so pretty but think we'll just look somewhere else, maybe just as good. My theory is, I also think there are a lot of baby boomers traveling. I love your honesty and your humour Brian 😂
You may be correct. There seem to be many people traveling these days, and we understand that we are a part of the problem. 😉 Thank you for watching and especially understanding the humor!! 😁
I guess you know to take US dollars and exchange on the street in Argentina. It's called the dolar blue rate and is significantly better than the official rate. Rates vary from city to city and bank note to bank note. $100 bill is best. Rates at border towns are worst
So true about Argentina it got more expensive but cheaper than USA. I got a Condo in BsAs if you go let me know. We are from USA but my brother lives there😊.
@@BrianandCarrie thanks for your response guys! I have been watching your videos and continue to absorb as much as I can. Planning on starting 1/1/26 I will be 65 in Dec 2025. Don’t want to wait. I know the clock keeps ticking so maybe after my youngest child graduates college in may 2025. Thanks for all your enjoyable information. You guys stay safe!
This would be an excellent primer on household budgeting. Inflation is a hungry predator. Sooner, rather than later, when You least expect it, it comes for your flock of gold-laying geese. Be prepared!
Unfortunately the dollar may weaken as well. As Fed cuts rates your dollar may not go as far as my guess is past 3 years was least expensive travel we’ll see for a long time.
@@BrianandCarrie Thank you. Not sure how. I like your channel. We travel a good amount. I was a currency trader in Chicago a long time and currency prices across the spectrum look pretty low. Was about 27-29 years ago that it was around these levels. Hopefully dollar stays strong, but I’m guessing it’ll weaken over time.
@@BrianandCarrie This could be a splurge and/or impractical, but Iguazu Falls has a bus going to it and is amazing amazing amazing--both the Argentina side and the Brazil side. I was there a couple decades ago, though, so you might have to think about crowds

Another interesting video. Being a Canadian, you will be Shocked at how expensive things have gotten here. A cost saving measure might be college residences in summer. That is where we stay travelling in the summer. Loving your Mexican travels!
We are from Bellingham WA. and being just across the border from Vancouver know how expensive Canada is. Being so close to home, we save on flights and accommodations. We should have been clearer on that. 🤣 Thank you for watching! Plenty more from Mexico to come!! 😊
@@cookmaster3626 we use the Holland College residences in Cherlotown, PEI. They can be booked for approximately $120 for a nice 2 bedroom apartment on Expedia for the summer months
Is it inflation or demand? This channel shares information about the places you guys traveled to, which is free advertising for that place. This entices people to visit. Also, there are several channels promoting travel. When there is a demand, prices increase. Several cities worldwide are complaining about tourists, and some of the influx results from TH-cam. Some of it could be inflation, and some of it could be greed. I'm not suggesting that you should stop or that it's your fault. It is just that not everything is inflation.
Good video guys. Prices have gone up all over the world, it is a fact of life, Canada is insane, we never go to restaurants in Canada anymore, we have not noticed prices have gone up in Japan (we travel often), and Cambodia and Vietnam are still so cheap it is not even worth calculating the extra costs (if any), Thailand has definitely gone up over the last 4 years, but nothing like Canada. One of the reason we are moving to Hua Hin Thailand is the cost of living in Canada, although we can afford life here in Canada, as we have no mortgage and do n ot go to restaurants, we can have a much better quality of life moving to SE ASia, no comparison really. We paid $2500 USD last year from Vancouver Canada to Bangkok on Japan airlines, this October we are paying $1300 USD for the same trip on ANA airlines, so not everything is more expensive. Our condo is more this year, $500 USD compared to $350 last year in Hua Hin, but we are renting a far nicer condo this year. Thailand still wins hands down over anywhere else in the world, there are cheaper places, but I do not want to live there. mexico is definitely out for us, way to dangerous. Cambodia is very cheap (except for restaurants), but I do not want to live there. For dental work Thailand easily wins, we got work done in Mexico 6 years ago and the costs for the exact same work in Hua Hin Thailand were less than Mexico 6 years ago.
SE Asia is the only safe haven left but don't count out Mexico. It isn't nearly as cheap as SE Asia or as it used to be but it's not as dangerous as you might think. Thank you for watching!!! 😊
@@BrianandCarrie We can agree to disagree about Mexico, I think you guys like Mexico because it is close to the USA, and flights are cheaper and shorter, for you a win win. For my wife and I we have family in the Philippines, we are closer in Thailand, we do not need to be close to Canada after we move, we plan to actually move to Thailand, and not travel around much except for SE Asia. Flights are very cheap in SE Asia. Everyone is different, we are OK with a trip back to Canada every 2 years or so.
Hey guys, if you ever looking find a way to save money on flights just hit me up. I do wanna travel club and I know ways to saving money. For instance, I just looked for me to fly from Orlando to Sydney. By the way I’m able to do it I can get for two people total for just 1800😊
@@BrianandCarrie no problem I own a track club we get thing cheaper cause weather like most sites. What they do is they buy the packages from the resorts, the airlines, the cruise ships and then they mark them up and some at a higher price where we what we do is we contract out to the same businesses and we help promote and sell their packages for them and they give it to us and then they just pay us a commission for helping them out.
Also Thailand has a new DTV VIsa, 5 years multiple entry for 6 months at a time, game changer. My wife and I both have the new DTV Visa. As an American I would not travel to any Muslim country, even as a Canadian, Muslim countries are out. The current war(s) make it a very dangerous prospect

We love to walk! All those tuk tuk's and horse rides etc. are fun...but you can discover so much more just clocking the miles with your feet! Thats if you are able hopefully! Great tips guys! We love your financial prudence.
We walked over 10 miles yesterday in Mexico City!! 😳 Thank you for watching!! 😊
We travel to smaller towns, it saves on accommodation and food and often the smaller towns are more authentic and more fun.
We would agree! We are finding that the big cities aren't for us for a few reasons! 😊 Thank you for watching and commenting, Paul!
@@Fell214 I think currency fluctuations aren’t helping
Agree 100%. Leverage those inflation adjusted funding sources! ;)
Sadly, I don’t think the formula they use for adjusting the COLA, keeps up with the actual inflation.
But it’s better than nothing.
We will be flying from Cancun to Seattle nonstop for around $200 each!
We love caring for dogs! It has worked out great for us and the money we save offsets any hard work that may be involved.
We see it as more of a cost savings than a vacation in a place that require day trips.
That's great. Even if we had the $450 for a balloon ride, it didn't seem worth it to us.
Cheers!
As always, thank you, Jim!! 😁
You are my favorite full-time travel couple i have just discovered, thanks for making such great videos. It’s very inspiring!
Thank you so much, Giselle! We appreciate you watching and so happy that you found our channel!! 😊
Thanks, you two!! It looks like you have a great plan!! Thank you for watching and safe travels!! Maybe we will be in the same place someday soon! 😊
I just checked today’s rate and it’s $1=1241.85
I heard it’s easier to get closer to the Blue rate at Western Union, instead of going to the private money changers.
lol, I guess I will know for sure next month. It’s our first time going to Argentina. We’ve done a little research. We will most likely be spending 10 days in Buenos Aires.
Ouch..Going back home 3 times a year can put a dent in the travel budget for sure, but if you can do it, good for you. Safe travels!
We will be spending money on one extra flight per year, but we need to see our parents, kids and grandkids as much as possible.
@@BrianandCarrie it makes sense.
It is becoming more and more difficult everywhere! 😔 Thank you for watching and all of your support! ❤️
@@BrianandCarrie what is the best site for monthly stays.?
Regarding budget, how about Tenerife or any of the Canarias islands for Spain ? Or Sardinia island for Italy or south Italy or Imperia in north Italy? Or maybe the north of Portugal ? Or Malta ?
We have done Italy and the Algarve in Portugal. We would love to get to the Canari Islands and Malta.
We use Expedia!
👜 🚌 ✈️ xx
We are using house sitting to offset accommodations costs. It has gone way up since we started 3 years ago!

Where do you live?

Gen X like me are either slowing down or retiring, hence travelling.
New generations have zero confidence in the future and are also travelling more.
Solutions;
4. Slow travel… very slow 😅
5. Volunteering and woofing expériences?
Great tips. Unfortunately, we haven't been to Western Europe, Scandinavia, New Zealand or Australia yet. All too expensive.
I'm from Calgary...Banff is super touristy and super expensive!! 😬 Your US $ will help, but be prepared. We used to be able to have nice weekend getaways there in the off season for reasonable $$...not anymore 😢

How has your medical insurance changed if you’re spending more time in the states vs when you first started?
Nothing has changed. We come home more often but for the same amount of time.
Yay come to Victoria!

The thing about inflation is that is generally happening everywhere in the world. So say when I compare thailand to australia (home) both have had high inflation but the ratio of costs stays similar. That helps but we are also trying to subsidize our retirement.
Great point! Thank you for adding to the conversation! 😊
There are so many countries near Mexico you can go and strech your dollar.
