As someone who grew up living in a dorm most of the time, I will never take a shower again if I can help it. A bath is one of the luxuries that people take for granted until the choice is taken away.
I enjoy a hot, nice smelling bubbly bath. So relaxing, especially before bed. I grew up with a tub and no shower. Mom still bathes and is almost 80 yrs old. No problems. Keep your tub clean and use a shower if you're really that filthy or sweaty. But for an average day, I love my tub.
a bath is a good option for parents with small kids - parents can wash a child without washing themselves. In Japan parents bathe with their children even when they are in high school. A bath also allows bathing with salts that are good for skin
As someone who has a disability, and has some skin problems that causes redness. I've been using showers a lot. My mom called my doctor, and he says that I'm supposed to shower more than bathing. Also my friend kinda ruined baths for me. She said that all of your dirty germs are circling around you in the tub, so she never takes a bath. Only showers 🚿
I use bucket for body shower(the temperature is depend the pipe sometimes its warm sometimes its cold ) If I wash my head or hair I use shower because its more cleaner and make my hair smoother. And I use cool water. I use bath tub when I feel so hot or fuss or anything like that. Cool water again. I use hot shower when I sick or body feeling uncomfortable. So yeah this my naked story.
I bathe rather than shower. I’m a bigger guy (20 stone) and have a small shower bath, so it uses less water to have a bath. I only fill half the bath with water to bathe and find it much more relaxing than a shower, and I can spend 15 minute soaking, have a drink and put some music on. I also use tallow soap wrapped in paper wrapping so better than the cheap chemical ridden shower gel bottles that just fill the bin up with plastic. Going to start making my own soap too so there’s less environmental impact from transporting stuff
I agree with you that baths are fund but….. Did you even watch the video? It’s more hygienic to shower because they evenly distribute water over your body and whisk contaminated water out of sight.
The best way for me is the Balti (bucket) and Lota (tumbler) way, which is really popular here in India. And i think it's the most sustainable and cleansing?

@@GoGreenPost Well, hot tubs, or tubs with massage bubble/spa is something else, and actually awesome and relaxing. Plus you are not bathing in your own filth, plus is useful. But ordinary bathtubs for homes, no thanks.
Nope. Baths all day long. Showers are uncomfortable and chore-like - they're all about rubbing fast, standing, and ultimately not made for human biology - animals are not evolved to wash in controlled streams of water hitting your skin, but far more so in slow moving bodies of water. Baths are relaxing, comfortable and yes, slower, but far more enjoyable and at least just as hygienic. Did you know that showers actually damage your skin and wash away its natural oils and "good bacteria" which act as a protective barrier against foreign bacteria and other dangers? This is especially bad for your face, and it doesn't happen even nearly as much if one bathes instead (in fact warm baths were proven to gently exfoliate skin and even have therapeutic effects and reduce stress and fatigue) - it's just that your body, like the body of any animal, did not evolve to wash under waterfalls, so your skin is not naturally equipped to deal with powerful jets of water and fast scrubbing everywhere... In the end it's a matter of preference, but I find that showers have no real advantage except expediency. The whole "bathing in your own filth" myth is just stupid, as if one takes baths daily or even once in 2 or 3 days there won't be much "filth" to speak of (unless you rolled in mud or something, after which no sane person would bathe...) and sweat and residue on your skin is just as easily washed away by a body of hot water and some soap/shampoo as it is by a shower... Edit: Finally, this is just anecdotal so don't take it as an objective argument, but I found that when I showered I needed to do it daily to have no body odors and just generally "feel clean", whereas when I do my usual and I just bathe doing it twice a week is enough to keep my body just as clean as showering daily did - it might have something to do with the skin being dried more by showers and therefore producing more sweat/oils to recover than after baths, but if you only do one bath instead of 3 showers you certainly make up for the extra time and waste a lot less water...
From the chances of water damage and cost, I prefer tubs over wood floors. Leaks are hard to detect on shower pans or walls. I see nightmare water damage in showers all the time. I have a waking shower in the first concrete floor and bath in the second floor with pluming access panned for pipes and tub inspection.
I need to wash the bathtub before taking a bath (I use domestos which is basically a chloride). I shower like 90% of the time, but when I have a flu or tired or have a muscle pain baths are the best option for me
I prefer showers. Baths make you stink quicker since you’re laying in all of the dirt you wash off, while showers wash all of your dirt down the drain, so you smell good longer after you take a shower, and baths make you greasy a lot quicker while showers keep you less greasy for longer. Plus, showers give me more energy than baths for some reason, so showers are beneficial for days that I am tired from not getting good sleep. I only take baths whenever I really have to shave my legs (I’m a female), only because I don’t want to bend over to shave especially since my dad’s side of the family has back problems which means an increased chance for me to get back problems as well. I take longer in a bath than in a shower, and patience isn’t my strong suit so that’s another reason I love showers. I get out of the shower faster AND it takes me longer to start stinking than a bath does! Also, I despise bubble baths, which is another reason I hate baths. I mean, _how_ do people get the bubbles off of them? I don’t want those things sticking to my skin when I get out of the bath, and I don’t want them all over my towel either!
That’s what I said! Yeah, I stink a lot quicker after taking a bath because you bathe in your dirt while in a shower the dirt goes down the drain, and plus I take longer in a bath than in a shower, so I also prefer showers.

One angle that you didn't consider is that baths may have a negative effect on vaginal health. Using a bunch of products on your lady parts can cause an imbalance of the delicate balance of organisms down there. For example, a yeast infection. Furthermore, sometime bath water can briefly be entrapped in your v a g i n a. I found this out when it happened to me and I googled, I was horrified. It's certainly not good to have the soapy water INSIDE of there. It is very rare, but possible.
Lol that works too! But you also would need to time it so you know how long you have each time so that you don’t have to stand in a pool of water each shower. Doing the math also let’s you know how much water you’re using if you’re interested!
@@GoGreenPost I timed a 12 minute shower (low flow head) with my bathtub drain plugged. I got about 2/3 of my normal fill. Did you mention that you should always fill a tub while you're sitting in it? If you fill it all the way up to the overflow drain, you be wasting more water when you sit down and your bodyweight displaces the water. You'll be spilling water down the overflow drain. I also mentioned in another comment, how to skip a shower while staying relatively clean. Everytime you skip a shower day, you're banking a long hot soak in the bath for the next day. Another tip would be to use only biodegradable liquid Castile soap for your hair and body. It washes off super clean and very quickly. This would greatly reduce your shower times, because we spend a lot of our shower time washing off slippery soaps and shampoos. Castile soap leaves very little residue and it washes off almost immediately. If you can cut your shower times in half, you could reason that you've earned yourself a one bath for every two showers. I'm finishing up a one hour bath as I write this. Ha ha!
