    If you really need/want to save water: 1. Fill a medium sized bowl with water and add soap. 1/2 liter is usually more than enough. Turn off the water and leave it off until Step 5, below. 2. Apply a small amount of soapy water to any dishes that need to soak. Simply scrape the others. 3. Dip sponge into soapy water and wash dishes. Dip for more water/soap as needed. 4. Stack washed dishes to the side of sink until all have been washed. 5. Rinse at a rate of 1 liter flow per minute. Low flow but enough once you get used to it. 6. Save MUCH more water than a dishwasher. 7. If draining through a strainer, drain into a bucket. Use grey water to flush toilet.

    So basically as long as you pay federal taxes year to year you will eventually get a 30% rebate from the overall cost and any local rebates is available??? If you can buy used or even new solar and do the work yourself and save more money that way than the 30% isn't worth it? I would rather spend 40 hr learning how to install solar then pay a company $15,000 just for the install work. Or at least look for someone that will do the work themselves, there are way to many companies/contractors out there that sit their A-S in a chair and charge you more when they pay someone else to do the work (stop the middle man). Is it true solar prices have gone down over the last 10 or so years??? Maybe the price for the equipment but labor is probably twice as much as before.

    these criteria are irrelevant. use x water or 2x or 3x water per year doesn't matter. neither system uses much compared to clothes washing, gardening, showering or bathing. speed? I can beat any dishwasher easily. but if it's a difference of 5 mins ....... who cares.

    Can this be used to spray directly on an entire room of carpet & then vacuumed? As an owner of a beloved, long haired dog, I would like to take care of all the unseen that lurks in my carpet as much as possible, but don’t want to harm him since the floor is his domain. It’s supposed to be non toxic for humans & animals, but not sure if it would be too concentrated and cause harm to family & pets by using it this way. Thanks!

    @TheFutureAwareness 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    And waste is not a bad thing. it is non-circular AKA non-recyclable or non-compostable or non-biocompatible waste which is the issue, Circular waste is not an issue. similarly, the amount of energy used to produce a product or service or good is not an issue. it's only an issue if it is a non-circular material or energy that causes pollution that is affecting the ecosystem's bio-compatibility

  • @TheFutureAwareness
    @TheFutureAwareness 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I hate to see modern content creators implying that plastic is recyclable. it is totally not! look at Climate Town's video, "Plastic recycling is an actual scam", And then look at discussions with Shawna Swan, the epidemiologist who found out in 2005 with the CDC about the issue where Plastics are not biologically compatible after the break down into nano particles

  • @TheFutureAwareness
    @TheFutureAwareness 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Well while you don't want to run out of resources at any point, it is equally as important to not get too much contaminantion of bio-harmful pollutions like plastics. it's important to discuss biological sustainablility via prohibiting production of bio-harmful synthetic materials that leech nanoparticles over time that have the ability to contaminate the global water supply with persist light weight particles that effect DNA directly and prematurely endanger a species or an entire wild planetary ecosystem, Like that caused by non-biodegraded Plastics and other synthetics found and labeled as EDCs, PFAS, VOCs, and UFPs, which has been reducing Global fertility, longevity, cancer immunity, and even sexual pleasure since the mass production of these synthetic materials began in world war II. And while this pollution is certainly caused by humans, It is not the consumers' fault. it is the manufacturer's and legislator's fault, you cannot expect individual consumers to hold awareness and or the burden of reliable research for every single product they buy and it's not viable to have everyone looking through electron microscopes to see the issues. And most certainly wildlife would die out first from synthethics, not humans because humans are smart enough to outlive their own natural ecosystem, The question is can we restore the wild ecosystem before or after we've destroyed it and wildlife

    • @TheFutureAwareness
      @TheFutureAwareness 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There's four problems with Plastics and obviously some of them are more important to discuss and non-starters for the material in the first place! The first two are obvious, They're wildlife choking hazards and they're persistent or long lasting materials both before and after degrading into nanoparticles. The 3rd and 4th problems with plastics And other synthetic materials are not so obvious to the public, yet more problematic than we realize; They're not biologically compatible after leeching(degrading instead of bio(-compatibly)degrading) into nanoparticles and They cannot technically recycle. they do not actually recycle. this is a lie. they "downcycle" at best and only some types, and after they cannot recycle, they are forced to become environmental pollution in which they will cause health issues for biological life forms. And premature Extinction of entire ecosystems. not just individual species over a few generations of this seemingly convenient synthetic production and thus we need to ban mass production of plastics And other materials in question of bio-harm, Just like we did with radioactive materials, lead, asbestos, and many other natural and synth materials. And there's probably something to be said about all the products on the market that are causing silicosis, which is an individual problem and not a global problem, but a severe decrease in life expectancy for those individuals

    I Love this video. Thank you for such a detailed analysis. A few key elements missing in this are w 1. this is with fully loaded dishwasher (many people don't max out or sometime overstuff their dishwasher), 2. not prewashing any dishes for the dishwasher (some people also prewash particularly gnarly dishes), and 3. dishwashers which failed to clean every little bit. ***Now let's put in the added impact of production of dishwasher (from mining materials, shipping, manufacturing, shipping again and distribution), extra repairs, usable space (larger kitchen), and disposal of a dishwasher. Considering the average lifespan of a dishwasher is about 10 years we can start to see another angle on what it takes to truly think and be green. As a collective we should be taking this across the board when we are considering being a consumer for more things to making our life a little "easier" or more "green." Such as the new electric car. Reuse may be a greatly overlooked asset when it truly comes to going green.

One more thing I want to add is some have been saying you can still use the tax credit from whatever amount you pay in taxes from your W2 doesn’t just have to be when you owe money. Not sure about the second part or what you’d have to do to do that
